Efficient terahertz radiation generation from air plasma with mid- and near-infrared three-color femtosecond pulses

We report on the generation of the terahertz (THz) radiation from air plasma driven by a three-color femtosecond field with the fundamental pulse in the near- (1700 nm and 800 nm) and mid-infrared (3900 nm) ranges. With an inline optical setup for three-color pulse generation and relative phase control, we observed that the THz pulse energy can be enhanced up to 6 times compared with the conventional two-color excitation scheme, dependent on the incident fundamental pulse energy. The polarization of the enhanced THz pulse was found to be elliptical, with the second and third harmonics components of the three-color pump also being elliptically polarized. With the 3.9 µm driving pulses, the maximum THz pulse energy reaches 39.4 µJ with a conversion efficiency of about 1%. Based on the plasma current model, we analytically and numerically reproduced the THz energy enhancement, as well as its dependence on incident pulse energy. The THz enhancement can be attributed to the two additional ionization wave mixing channels introduced with the addition of the third harmonic. © 2025 Optica Publishing Group under the terms of the Optica Open Access Publishing Agreement.

This paper studies the Spiking high-dimensional information coding method based on wavelet decomposition technology. Firstly, the wavelet decomposition technique is used to extract the multi-scale features of the input signal to capture the time-frequency characteristics of the signal. Subsequently, the extracted features are mapped to the pulse sequence of the Spiking neural network to achieve efficient coding of highdimensional information. In this paper, the influence of wavelet decomposition parameters on coding performance is analyzed, and the advantages of the proposed method in processing highdimensional data are verified by experiments. The experimental results show that the proposed method can significantly reduce the data dimension and computational complexity while maintaining the accuracy of information, which provides a new effective way for high-dimensional information processing. © 2024 IEEE.

Aiming at the challenges in time series data processing, this paper proposes a new deep learning model, which uses Spiking neurons with time series processing ability to organize, represent and transmit information instead of traditional methods. By combining the time representation characteristics of Spiking neurons with the hierarchical deep connection advantages of complex networks, this study explores a deep learning model combining time and space, which shows significant advantages in the representation and processing ability of time series data. Specifically, we design and implement a model that combines the Spiking mechanism with complex networks. This model can effectively capture the dynamic changes in time series data and improve processing efficiency. The experimental results show that the proposed model has achieved good performance on multiple time series data sets, which verifies its effectiveness and feasibility in time series data representation and processing. This study provides a new method for the field of time series data analysis, which is expected to be widely used in intelligent systems, financial forecasting, bioinformatics and other fields. © 2024 IEEE.

Security is a vital facet for any automatic carrier, supported by the detected situation, the carrier should respond consequently to make sure that the environment is secure. Hence, the carrier should be expedited with a cyber-physical atmosphere. We tend to showcase a cyber-physical security mechanism for a carrier in low light environments. Detection of vulnerability via optical device, supersonic (US), infrared (IR), motion sensors and dynamic higher cognitive process with applicable response via the actuators of the carrier is the stress of the present proposal. Focus is given to running on practical hardware and code faults of the sensors and actuators which can dynamically occur with time, with appropriate bypass and remedial actions to be taken at runtime to ensure security. Finally, with the aid of cloud infrastructure, we broadcast the matter situation to different carriers and forestall congestion blockchain infrastructure to make certain that the information once kept in the ledger cannot be tampered with. © 2024 IEEE.

Virtual reality (VR) has rapidly evolved into a transformative technology with vast potential for applications in diverse domains, from entertainment to education and health care. One of the critical challenges in harnessing the full power of VR lies in creating seamless and intuitive interactions between users and virtual environments. This paper explores the concept of intuitive interaction in VR, aiming to enhance user engagement and overall user experience by comparing three developed VR and augmented reality (AR) applications. The role of hand tracking, controllers, and haptic feedback in immersion and sense of presence is examined. Ten participants use each of the applications without any instructions on the interaction. Usability is measured for the experienced applications by the users. Results showcase the best ease of use and usable application with intuitive interaction and visual fidelity. The results emphasize the need for naturalistic and user-friendly interactions with interfaces for widespread audiences of VR. The immersion and the sense of presence are obtained through qualitative feedback from the participants and showcase the need for visual and audio fidelity along with intuitive interactions to induce immersion and presence. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Cardiorespiratory synchronization training (CRST) uses breathing to increase balance in the autonomic nervous system and reduce negative emotions. Virtual Reality (VR) makes the patients immersive in the virtual environment for CRST training system. All the participants were trained to reduce their breathing rates through slow and deep breathing to achieve their target resonance frequency. Our proposed to design the new system based on virtual reality technology, and combined with a variety of neural sensors, such as Looxid EEG sensor, BMD101 ECG sensor, and Arduino SFM3400 Respirator, not only embedded on CRST training system, but also machine learning method to stimulate a real relaxing environment. Develop the innovative features of clinical psychological intervention, user convenience and provide the therapist with real-time display of heart rate features(SDNN, LF, LnLf, HF, LF/HF, Mhr), detect emotion and flow data on the monitor. During the process, the computer calculates LnLf value and change VR scenes at any time, we provide an instant interactive system. Our showed the two modules of CRST training system including both of passive CRST module and direct CRST module, that heart rate variability (HRV) variables and EEG have significant difference between the first one minute and last one minute in CRST VR training system. © 2024 IEEE.

Blockchain technology, the foundation of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, has utility beyond finance due to its decentralized and secure transactional nature. However, today's blockchain networks face the challenge of low transaction throughput due to block propagation delays. In this study, we propose a novel approach that divides large blocks into segments and leverages multi-origin pipelining for segment dissemination, thereby expediting block propagation. The scheme also integrates the use of a Bloom filter for lightweight segment integrity verification to prevent the reception of tampered segments. Simulation results reveal that our scheme outperforms Bitcoin's legacy approach, demonstrating significant improvement in propagation speed, particularly for large blocks, while maintaining a low fork rate. © 2024 IEEE.

When people observe pictures, different pictures will generate different emotions, and the painters often convey emotional energy to the audience through the media. Through the effect of this emotional transfer, people get emotional satisfaction psychologically, and the author can better express the emotion he needs to express by using the principle. For those who do not know art appreciation, it is difficult to accurately describe the feelings brought by pictures and describe them accurately. It is also difficult to quickly and accurately find the picture of the corresponding feeling sought by oneself. This paper presents a quantitative picture emotion analysis method. Based on the analysis of the characteristics and colors of the pictures that arouse people's emotions, the classification planning is carried out in RGB space and HSV color space respectively. And the combination analysis of the color features with strong influence is carried out to select a more appropriate color space for the expression of human feelings. At the same time, the paper also discusses the effect of the black-and-white filling and the brightness saturation of the image. Finally, it makes use of the corresponding design principles to carry out a quantitative analysis of the emotion generated by it. As the Internet of Health (IoH) era has come into being, health services are progressively moving online and have been creating a sizable amount of health-related data related to patients, physicians, medical infrastructure, and other related topics. The effective integration and analysis of this IoH data have good implications for the provision of medical treatment and scientific disaster diagnosis. IoH data, however, are frequently dispersed throughout several departments and only partially protect user privacy. Therefore, efficiently integrating or mining the critical IoH data, while maintaining user privacy, is sometimes a difficult issue. Thus, this study provides IoH as a solution to this problem, allowing the IoH to submit medications to a specific patient without disclosing patient information and the admin to access the medications upon IoH's approval. Patients can watch physicians and consult them only once admin and the doctor have given their approval. © 2023 IEEE.
