Accurately diagnosing Alzheimer's disease is essential for improving elderly ***,accurate prediction of the mini-mental state examination score also can measure cognition impairment and track the progression of Alzheimer's ***,most of the existing methods perform Alzheimer's disease diagnosis and mini-mental state examination score prediction separately and ignore the relation between these two *** address this challenging problem,we propose a novel multi-task learning method,which uses feature interaction to explore the relationship between Alzheimer's disease diagnosis and minimental state examination score *** our proposed method,features from each task branch are firstly decoupled into candidate and non-candidate parts for ***,we propose feature sharing module to obtain shared features from candidate features and return shared features to task branches,which can promote the learning of each *** validate the effectiveness of our proposed method on multiple *** Alzheimer's disease neuroimaging initiative 1 dataset,the accuracy in diagnosis task and the root mean squared error in prediction task of our proposed method is 87.86%and 2.5,*** results show that our proposed method outperforms most state-of-the-art *** proposed method enables accurate Alzheimer's disease diagnosis and mini-mental state examination score ***,it can be used as a reference for the clinical diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease,and can also help doctors and patients track disease progression in a timely manner.

Barrier Function-Based Backstepping Fractional-Order Sliding Mode Control for Quad-Rotor Unmanned Aerial Vehicle under External Disturbances

The main control objective for the quad-rotor system is the attitude and position tracking control which is accomplished in this article using the backstepping fractional-order sliding mode control approach combined with the adaptive tuning based barrier function theory. The quad-rotor's dynamical model is obtained at the appearance of the disturbance that is entered to the quad-rotor system by an exterior force. Hence, the attitude and position tracking errors between the quad-rotor's actual states and their desired trajectory are defined. Afterward, the fractional-order sliding surfaces are defined to guarantee finite-time reachability of the defined tracking error. The designed fractional-order surface eases the control process due to the removal of the high-derivative of virtual controllers. Then, the extended adaptive barrier function laws named fractional-order-based adaptive barrier function laws are employed to eliminate the knowledge of the upper bounds of external disturbances. The Lyapunov theory concept mixed with the backstepping control strategy is used to demonstrate that the fractional-order sliding surface reaches the neighborhood of origin in the finite time. Finally, simulation results in various scenarios on the MATLAB/ Simulink environment are provided to show that the designed control procedure in this article is an efficient control technique to assure that attitude and position's trajectories of the quad-rotor system track desired trajectories properly in the existence of the external disturbances. Moreover, the designed method is compared to the existing method to validate the efficiency of the proposed method. Lastly, experimental results using the Speedgoat real-time target machine is implemented to assure validity of the recommended method. © 1965-2011 IEEE.

Learning a Mixture of Conditional Gating Blocks for Visual Question Answering

As a Turing test in multimedia,visual question answering(VQA)aims to answer the textual question with a given ***,the“dynamic”property of neural networks has been explored as one of the most promising ways of improving the adaptability,interpretability,and capacity of the neural network ***,despite the prevalence of dynamic convolutional neural networks,it is relatively less touched and very nontrivial to exploit dynamics in the transformers of the VQA tasks through all the stages in an end-to-end ***,due to the large computation cost of transformers,researchers are inclined to only apply transformers on the extracted high-level visual features for downstream vision and language *** this end,we introduce a question-guided dynamic layer to the transformer as it can effectively increase the model capacity and require fewer transformer layers for the VQA *** particular,we name the dynamics in the Transformer as Conditional Multi-Head Self-Attention block(cMHSA).Furthermore,our questionguided cMHSA is compatible with conditional ResNeXt block(cResNeXt).Thus a novel model mixture of conditional gating blocks(McG)is proposed for VQA,which keeps the best of the Transformer,convolutional neural network(CNN),and dynamic *** pure conditional gating CNN model and the conditional gating Transformer model can be viewed as special examples of *** quantitatively and qualitatively evaluate McG on the CLEVR and VQA-Abstract *** experiments show that McG has achieved the state-of-the-art performance on these benchmark datasets.

The Crop Planning Tool, with its intuitive user interface, simplifies planning planting schedules and managing resources. Assessments have demonstrated that the human lip and its motions provide a wealth of knowledge about the identity and substance of communication. However, due to large differences in illumination condition, head perspective, and background, obtaining strong and precise lip image segmentation in natural settings remains difficult. This paper recommends Deep Masked Input UNet that categorizes the Gender based on the lip segmentation with high precision. For implementation, 10,132 face images from the KAGGLE Lip Segmentation dataset were used. The dataset includes 5066 images of the face and 5066 segmented lip images. The proposed Deep Masked Input UNet starts by masking the original picture with a segmented lip image to create masked face images with lips segments. Utilizing the Relu Activation function, Deep Masked Input UNet with contracting and expansion was enabled. The masked lip images are fitted to the proposed Deep Masked Input UNet and traditional CNN models. The results show that the suggested Deep Masked Input UNet model performs better in lip segmentation and gender classification, with a high accuracy of 98.95%. © 2024 IEEE.

Deformable Dual Graph Aggregation Transformer Convolutional Networks with Spider Wasp Optimizer for Ovarian Tumor Classification Using Magnetic Resonance Imaging

The diagnosis of Ovarian Tumor (OT) remains a significant challenge as there is presently no practical non-invasive technique to determine true benign or malignant lesions before treatment. This study proposes a unique Deformable Dual Graph Aggregation Transformer Convolutional Network (DeDGATCNet) with Spider Wasp Optimizer (SWO) for the classification of ovarian tumors acquired from magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). In contrast to traditional deep learning models, DeDGATCNet + SWO directly integrates bending graph-based forming transformer convolutional learning and improves representation for better classification. The SWO is combined to optimize the parameters of the network, thereby improving its performance. The procedures include pre-processing the MRI data from the study of ovarian tumor TCGA-OV datasets with an Adaptive Bilateral Texture Filter (ABTF) for removing artifacts and normalization of intensity, accompanied by a segment using a Masked-Attention Mask Transformer (MAMT). Feature extraction is achieved through a One-Dimensional Quaternion Discrete Fourier Transform (1D-QDFT), which captures features from both the spatial and frequency domains. DeDGATCNet + SWO performance is way ahead and sets a new accuracy record of 99.9% for state-of-the-art models. This research introduces a new type of hybridization between deformable graph transformers, quaternion-based spectral analysis, and nature-inspired optimization techniques, setting non-invasive OT at a new height for classification and improving early diagnosis. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2025.

Alzheimer’s disease (AD) sufferers can benefit from early detection and diagnosis so that protective treatments can be taken before permanent brain impairment develops. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-detected lesion sites in AD patients exhibit significant heterogeneity and these characteristics are spread throughout the imaging space, according to cross-sectional imaging studies of Alzheimer's disease. Because conventional Deep Learning (DL) methods can’t generate enough long-distance correlations in the characteristic space, adaptive fine-tuned deep resnet-50 with attention mechanism (AFDR-AM) is introduced in this research for the early identification of AD. The input MRI data is de-noised using a wavelet thresholding approach, and the contrast is enhanced using Improved Color Histogram Equalization (ICHE). Image recognition and classification characteristics are extracted at the feature extraction phase using a Gabor Filter Bank (GFB). To narrow down a big list of traits, the Artificial Bee Colony Optimization (ABCO) technique can be used to pick the most useful ones and get rid of the rest. Measures of accuracy, precision, recall, f1-score, specificity, and MSE are used to evaluate the effectiveness of the suggested strategy.
