Breast cancer is a serious worldwide health concern, and advanced diagnostic tools are needed for an accurate and timely identification of the illness. In order to classify breast cancer through ultrasound pictures, this method suggests a hybrid strategy that combines Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) with Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs). CNN integration makes it possible to extract spatial data from ultrasound pictures and identify complex patterns that may be signs of cancer. Concurrently, RNNs are used to record temporal relationships between successive ultrasound frames, which enables the model to identify changing features of possible anomalies. By combining the advantages of both CNNs & RNNs, the suggested hybrid architecture improves the model's capacity to identify minute, dynamic patterns that are essential for precise diagnosis. In comparison to standalone CNN or RNN models, the hybrid model performs better in classification, as evidenced by experimental assessments carried out on a variety of ultrasound picture datasets. The findings highlight the hybrid approach's potential to improve breast cancer diagnostic skills and present a viable path for raising the precision and dependability of ultrasound-based tumour classification techniques. © 2024 IEEE.

Machine learning techniques have been have proven to be more effective than conventional extensively used in the creation of intrusion detection systems (IDS) that can swiftly and automatically identify and classify cyber attacks at the host-and network-levels. A scalable solution is needed since destructive attacks are happening so quickly and are changing all the time. For more investigation, the malware community has access to a number of malware databases. The performance of several machine learning algorithms on a range of datasets that were made available to the general public, however, has not yet been thoroughly evaluated by any study. The publicly available malware datasets should be regularly updated and benchmarked due to the dynamic nature of malware and the continuously evolving attacking techniques. In this study, a deep neural network (DNN), a type of deep learning model, is examined in order to create a flexible and efficient IDS to identify and categorise unexpected and unanticipated cyber threats. In order to analyse a variety of datasets that have been produced throughout time using both static and dynamic methodologies, it is vital to take into account the rapid increase in attacks and the constant evolution of network behaviour. It is simpler to select the most effective algorithm for accurately predicting forthcoming cyber attacks with the help of this type of research. Many publicly available benchmark malware datasets are used to offer a thorough review of DNN and other conventional machine learning classifier studies. The KDDCup 99 dataset and the accompanying hyper parameter selection techniques are used to choose the ideal network parameters and topologies for DNNs. A learning rate of [0.01-0.5] is applied to every 1,000-epoch DNN experiment. A variety of datasets, including NSL-KDD, UNSW-NB15, Kyoto, WSN-DS, and CICIDS 2017, as well as the DNN model that performed well on KDDCup 99 are used to conduct the benchmark. Recent developments in computer networking have made it possible to access information from a faraway location via either wireless or wired networks. The recent advancements in wireless infrastructure are directly responsible for the advent of wireless sensor networks, often known as WSNs. These networks make it easier to keep track of environmental happenings and activities, as well as document them and manage them. In WSNs, data relaying is accomplished through the use of a variety of routing strategies. Industry 4.0, also known as the fourth industrial revolution, is characterized by the incorporation of highly developed physical automation systems. These systems are made up of several pieces of machinery and gadgets that are linked together by sensors and are operated by software. The goal of the fourth industrial revolution is to improve the effectiveness and dependability of business processes. The Internet of Things (IoT) can be leveraged in manufacturing, which gives a means of linking engines, power grids, and sensors to the cloud in an industrial context. This is accomplished through the use of Industrial IoT. The purpose of this paper is to gain an understanding of how the Internet of Things functions in wireless sensor networks and its possible applications in a variety of settings. © 2024 IEEE.

This study offers a unified surgical conception of skin neoplasms using deep learning and genetic optimization techniques to improve classification values and speed of diagnosis. In this case, the architecture of Convolutional Neural Networks such as MobileNet, Xception and Inception is enhanced on the basis of the creative algorithms of Particle Swarm Optimization and Bat Algorithm to adjust the hyperparameters. The Heroku hosted cloud solution permits registered users to upload pictures of skin lesions via the web interface, where the picture is then processed through a Deep Neural Network (DNN) model that classifies the lesion as either melanoma or non-melanoma. The Convolution Neural Network (CNN) models were trained and evaluated on large publicly available datasets of skin lesions like ISIC, HAM10000 and the model performance was evaluated based on the effect of varying optimizers. Among all the architectures, Xception with Bat Algorithm (BA) performed best because of the more complex and deeper network architecture and extreme inception modules, which made it possible to extract and classify more complicated features. As a cloud-based solution, this system provides dermatologists and health practitioners with a more practical and workable solution for the detection of skin cancers. Furthermore, it can be utilized in other fields, which implies that this approach could extend its applications beyond dermatological imaging or imaging of patients at risk for other diseases, thus creating an adaptable and effective tool for clinical diagnosis in many areas of medicine. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Recent advances in the diffusion model mark a significant leap in AI-generated image technology while extending its application to the Internet of Things (IoT). However, deploying these models on resource-constrained edge devices presents considerable challenges, primarily due to their high computational energy demands and stringent quality requirements. In response to these challenges, we introduce a collaborative inference system tailored for green edge networks. First, we propose a multi-exit U-ViT model that achieves the balance between inference quality and processing speed by allowing adaptive selection of exit points during diffusion for efficient processing. Next, we develop a novel generative AI-assisted reinforcement learning algorithm that controls the exit selections and offloading decisions of the device to achieve maximum global gain. Furthermore, we design a novel policy network incorporating an attention-based state-embedded policy network to enhance the algorithm's ability to perceive and make decisions about the state of the environment. Experimental results demonstrate that our system achieves energy-efficient inference while ensuring the quality of the generated content. © 2024 IEEE.

Time-series data is prevalent in many applications like smart homes, smart grids, and healthcare. And it is now increasingly common to store and query time-series data in the cloud. Despite the benefits, data privacy concerns in such outsourced services are pressing, making it imperative to embed privacy assurance mechanisms from the outset. Most existing related works have been focused on querying for different types of aggregate statistics. In this paper, we instead focus on the secure support for advanced interval skyline queries, which allow to identify time series that are not dominated by any other time series within a query time interval. This is valuable for time-series data analytics in applications like remote health monitoring (e.g., identifying patients with high heart rates in a certain week). We present OblivTime, a new system framework for oblivious and efficient interval skyline query processing over encrypted time-series data. OblivTime is built from a synergy of time-series data analytics, lightweight cryptography, and GPU parallel computing, achieving stronger security guarantees and lower online query latency over the state-of-the-art prior work. Extensive experiments demonstrate that OblivTime can achieve up to 666\times speedup in online query latency over the state-of-the-art prior work. © 2008-2012 IEEE.

'Sentimental Insight 2.0' emerges as revolutionary research using deep learning techniques in response to the increasing demand for more complex sentiment analysis in the age of information abundance. Traditional sentiment analysis methods sometimes fail to accurately capture the particulars of emotions, sarcasm, and context, demanding a more advanced technique. The existing system's limitations include its inability to detect minor sentiment variations and its vulnerability to noisy and distorted data. The proposed system integrates cutting-edge deep learning architectures such as recurrent neural networks (RNNs), extended short-term memory networks (LSTMs), and transformer models into an extensive structure. The result showcases the advanced sentiment analysis, outperforming existing systems with 94% accuracy, 93% precision, 91% recall, and 93% F1 score, demonstrating superior computational efficiency and emotion classification across diverse sentiments. In the information-centric world, the study's results significantly expand sentiment analysis skills, providing a vital resource for applications in social media analytics, consumer feedback, and market sentiment prediction. © 2024 IEEE.

This review paper comprehensively surveys the landscape of Generative AI, encompassing its foundational concepts, diverse models, training methodologies, applications, challenges, recent advancements, evaluation metrics, and ethical dimensions. The paper begins by introducing Generative AI's significance across various domains, presenting its pivotal role in producing synthetic data with applications spanning image synthesis, text generation, music composition, drug discovery, and more. The objectives lie in elucidating the foundational concepts, delving into model intricacies, unveiling the training procedures, exploring its application landscape, addressing challenges, envisioning future directions, and discussing ethical ramifications. The foundational section elucidates the diverse array of generative models, including Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), Variational Autoencoders (VAEs), flow-based models, Generative Reinforcement Learning (GRL), and advanced hybrid architectures. Subsequently, evaluation metrics ranging from Inception Score to perceptual similarity metrics and human evaluations are surveyed to assess generative model performance. Diabetes is one of the most common diseases in Jordan. It is the main reason of death among Jordanian adult citizens. Worldwide, 48% of all deaths are due to Diabetes occurred before the age of 70 years. Hence, this research is interested in the early prediction of this disease among Jordanian people. To achieve this main objective, Machine Learning (ML) is utilized through a large number of classification models and considering five well-known evaluation metrics. These classification models have been trained on a primary dataset that has been collected for the purpose of the research. The results revealed that BayesNet and NaiveBayes are the best classification models to handle the task of the early prediction of Diabetes in Jordan © 2024 IEEE.

Aptamers are single-stranded DNA or RNA oligonucleotides that selectively bind to specific targets, making them valuable for drug design and diagnostic applications. Identifying the interactions between aptamers and target proteins is crucial for these applications. The systematic evolution of ligands by exponential enrichment process, traditionally used for this purpose, is challenging and time-consuming. The resulting aptamers often suffer from limitations in stability and diversity. Computational approaches have shown promise in aiding the discovery of high-performance aptamers, but existing methods are usually constrained by insufficient training data and limited generalizability. Recently, advancements in pre-training large language models have offered a new avenue to mitigate the dependency on large datasets. In this study, we propose a novel method to predict aptamer-protein interactions using large language models within a contrastive learning framework. Experimental results demonstrate that our method exhibits superior generalization and outperforms existing approaches. This method holds promise as a powerful tool for predicting aptamer-protein interactions. © 2024 IEEE.
