Full-marathon and Half-marathon distances are categorized as road running. Full-marathon running is becoming increasingly popular, and Half-marathon is increasing worldwide in both sexes and all age groups. Some aspects might relate to Full-marathon and Half-marathon running performance during training and races. Technology also plays an essential role in supporting runners and running races. Technology like artificial intelligence (AI) now supports the running athlete, not only predicting performance and results. It can also be used later to help the coach generate training programs for the athlete. This research aimed to find many aspects of marathons and performance and analyze them to see if artificial intelligence could later support them. It used secondary data and a systematic literature review proposed by Kitchenham. Out of the 58 articles, 21 of them (36.21%) received a score of 1 from Q1. Additionally, 19 articles (32.76%) received a score of 1 from both Q2 and Q3. Among the 58 articles, 9 (15.52%) received a total score of 3, with all three Q1, Q2, and Q3 scores being 1. This indicates that artificial intelligence will likely support the content of these nine articles. Several factors were also discovered to be connected to marathons and athletic performance. These findings suggested that additional investigation into marathons and performance, later backed by artificial intelligence, remained pertinent and essential. © 2024 IEEE.

Batik is an Indonesian world cultural heritage. Batik consists of many kinds of patterns depending on where the batik comes from, Batik-making techniques continue to develop along with technology development. Among the batik making techniques that are widely used are hand-written, stamping, and printing. Batik motifs have been widely used as research material, especially in the field of artificial intelligence. The diverse appearance of batik motifs has attracted many researchers to carry out research on making synthetic batik patterns, one of which uses a Generative Adversarial Network. This paper presents a synthetic batik pattern model based on the Wasserstein Generative Adversarial Network with Gradient Penalty. This model has been proven to create new synthetic batik patterns quite well and almost identical with images provided in the dataset, with the notes if the dataset provided is large. © 2023 IEEE.

Convolutional Neural network is state of the art of image recognition or image classification. However to build the robust model using CNN needs many parameters adjusted, and choosing the good combination hyperparameter which impacts taking much computation time. Genetic algorithm is one method metaheuristic which is robust for choosing the combinatorial possible hyperparameter. This model also uses ResNet-50 which is a pretrained model of convolutional neural network that consists 50 layers. By using a pretrained like ResNet-50, it will increase the performance model. CNN-ResNet with efficient genetic algorithm (EGA) to optimize the hyperparameter. The EGA algorithm utilizes transfer learning techniques in its algorithm so that the optimization process on CNN can achieve unified accuracy values quickly. The best performance model optimized using EGA outperformed the ResNet-50 model and the model optimized using GA and VLGA in classifying organic and inorganic materials. The accuracy value obtained from EGA is 97.53% with a loss of 0.08. © 2022 IEEE.

In the high-performance computing domain, Field programmable Gate Array (FPGA) is a novel accelerator that exhibits high flexibility and performance characteristics distinct from other accelerators such as the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU). Recent advanced high-end FPGA is equipped with multiple channels of high speed optical link up to 100Gbps performance for each. This is a crucial feature when we construct PC clusters with FPGAs as accelerators, however it is not easy to utilize from user kernels because this feature is implemented in low level and simple direct communication between neighboring FPGAs. In order to provide the communication feature between FPGAs for accelerated PC clusters, we developed a communication system named CIRCUS which implies a user-friendly API from OpenCL and is equipped with routing function over multi-hop communication on multi-dimensional torus network of FPGAs. However, current CIRCUS only provides a point-to-point communication between source and destination FPGAs. In ordinary parallel processing environment such as MPI, the user program the message passing with various collective communication functions for parallel algorithm, for instance Allreduce, Allgather, etc. In this paper, we implement the collective communication function over CIRCUS for user-friendly programming of ordinary parallel algorithms on FPGAs. As the first target, we implement Allreduce function which is the most essential and important function. The paper describes the CIRCUS system briefly followed by the design, implementation and preliminary performance evaluation on Intel Stratix10 FPGAs. © 2023 ACM.

In our study, we explore methods for detecting unwanted content lurking in visual datasets. We provide a theoretical analysis demonstrating that a model capable of successfully partitioning visual data can be obtained using only textual data. Based on the analysis, we propose Hassle-Free Textual Training (HFTT), a streamlined method capable of acquiring detectors for unwanted visual content, using only synthetic textual data in conjunction with pre-trained vision-language models. HFTT features an innovative objective function that significantly reduces the necessity for human involvement in data annotation. Furthermore, HFTT employs a clever textual data synthesis method, effectively emulating the integration of unknown visual data distribution into the training process at no extra cost. The unique characteristics of HFTT extend its utility beyond traditional out-of-distribution detection, making it applicable to tasks that address more abstract concepts. We complement our analyses with experiments in out-of-distribution detection and hateful image detection. Maternal health is a critical concern, particularly for individuals who are pregnant and will shape the future generations. However, not all expectant mothers receive tailored attention and care for their unique health needs. Consequently, many mothers face high levels of health risks during pregnancy, highlighting the importance of classifying maternal health risks. Classification can help identify influential factors affecting maternal health and predict risk levels for individual mothers. In the field of data mining, various classification methods exist for analyzing complex datasets. This study focuses on two widely used algorithms: decision tree and k-Nearest Neighbor (kNN). By employing these algorithms, we aim to classify a dataset comprising 1,014 records of maternal health risk levels. Through cross-validation and T-tests, we rigorously evaluate the performance of the decision tree and kNN algorithms in this context. Our findings indicate that the kNN algorithm is more suitable for classifying maternal health risks, achieving a significantly higher accuracy of 71.50% compared to the decision tree algorithm's accuracy of 70.71%. This result establishes the superiority of the kNN algorithm in accurately classifying maternal health risks. These findings have implications for developing targeted interventions and tailored healthcare strategies to mitigate identified risks. © 2023 IEEE.

Missing values are a common issue in machine learning, which has formed the foundation for data analysis and extraction. Several reasons can lead to missing values, such as missing entirely, missing at random, and not missing. However, before conducting any data analysis, it is imperative to tackle missing values since this might result in biased or inaccurate results. One common technique to increase the precision of IoT data classification is to combine many sensors with different data techniques. But all modalities are seldom available even for the evaluation results, and this lack of data creates serious obstacles to multimodal education. Inspired by recent developments in deep learning, we present a cross-neural network for the segmentation of the IoT Data Classification, which is created on data modalities not all obtainable during trials. We educate the framework in IoT Data Classification using a cost function specifically designed for imbalanced classes. We are giving the device an insufficiently full baseline dataset. Our technique extends beyond CNN training and the gathering of two CNNs trained in the missing modality by using temporal data, considering that they are not involved in the research process. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

One way to save time and resources in the human recruitment and hiring process is to post open job positions on the Internet, but the overload of applications creates challenges for hiring managers and companies to select an adequate candidate. One of the solutions is to apply intelligent tools such as Deep Learning and recommender system algorithms to speed up the hiring process and identify the right candidates. In this paper, we propose a two-fold algorithmic approach to 1) building an RNN classifier for resume classification;2) using cosine similarity for resume recommendation to find a candidate that fits job requirements best after selecting all the resumes that belong to the right category. The performance of the proposed RNN classifier is evaluated in terms of accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and confusion matrix criteria. The experiment results have shown that the RNN classifier performs better than the other classifiers such as GNB, Linear SVM, RF, and BERT on the same dataset. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2023.
