Cloud computing is now widely employed across a variety of IT-related fields. It has become an essential technology to address infrastructure and data service requirements with minimal effort, low-cost, and with a high degree of scalability. Although the use of cloud computing has increased significantly, information security concerns have not yet been fully resolved. There are still certain information security concerns that must be resolved in order for cloud computing to advance. In terms of integrity, authenticity, and secrecy, in particular, Blockchain has developed into an essential security instrument. The application of Blockchain in cloud computing security is further examined in this article after a review of the different security concerns in blockchain and cloud computing. The main challenge in the cloud computing is cloud computing security. Because data in the cloud must be transported via the Internet, data security becomes a top priority. It is necessary to maintain the primary data protection methods, such as integrity, accountability, privacies, access controls, authentications, and authorizations. Blockchain is a technological advancement that enhances cloud computing. Blockchain resolves cloud computing security problems. This study seeks to analyze and contrast various cloud environment security challenges with blockchain security difficulties. © 2023 IEEE.

An investigation is carried out into the dynamic relationship between machine learning algorithms used in IoT security, with detailed scrutiny of performance indicators to give a fuller view of what happens. The study pays particular attention to metrics like accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 score when ten varied samples are being examined. As a result, all the algorithms exhibit excellent performance with 95.5 %-98.2 % accuracy values, inspiring high reliability under diverse scenarios. Precision and recall metrics also depict the models' capabilities. Balancing precision and recall can be observed in F1 scores that are between 95.2% and 98.0%, and these numbers show that the approach based on this understanding of trade-offs is characterized by its operationalization. At the other end, results obtained from performance metrics go beyond numerical benchmarks to give a holistic appreciation of the algorithms' strength and areas for possible enhancement. The paper also does not provide only a theoretical approach to machine learning related to security in the IoT environment but also provides information about security considerations for the successful deployment of powerful, adaptive models into real-life scenarios. In this case, findings of the research help in understanding how to make sure that smart and effective measures are implemented during the process of developing security solutions considering all related issues in connection with the IoT technology landscape. © 2024 IEEE.

Point cloud sequence-based 3D action recognition has achieved impressive performance and efficiency. However, existing point cloud sequence modeling methods cannot adequately balance the precision of limb micro-movements with the integrity of posture macro-structure, leading to the loss of crucial information cues in action inference. To overcome this limitation, we introduce D-Hyperpoint, a novel data type generated through a D-Hyperpoint Embedding module. D-Hyperpoint encapsulates both regional-momentary motion and global-static posture, effectively summarizing the unit human action at each moment. In addition, we present a D-Hyperpoint KANsMixer module, which is recursively applied to nested groupings of D-Hyperpoints to learn the action discrimination information and creatively integrates Kolmogorov-Arnold Networks (KAN) to enhance spatio-temporal interaction within D-Hyperpoints. Finally, we propose KAN-HyperpointNet, a spatio-temporal decoupled network architecture for 3D action recognition. Extensive experiments on two public datasets: MSR Action3D and NTU-RGB+D 60, demonstrate the state-of-the-art performance of our method. © 2025 IEEE.

The proliferation of connected devices within Internet of Things (IoT) networks has underscored the critical necessity of developing efficient Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) that can adeptly identify and counteract threats. Deep learning algorithms are better than classical machine learning at automatically learning patterns and representations from raw data, enabling them to detect complex attacks. This research aims to conduct a comparative study of IDSs implemented through three deep learning models: Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), Deep Neural Networks (DNN), and Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN). The study employs three datasets (NF-UNSW-NB15, NF-BoT-IoT, and NF-ToN-IoT) to assess model performance in both binary and multiclass classification scenarios. The findings indicate that for binary traffic classification, DNN outperforms the other two models with an accuracy bout (98%) for all datasets. In the context of multiclass traffic classification, the DNN model surpasses the performance of the other model except for NF-ToN-IoT a CNN model score (69.08%). © 2023 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Hybrid Routing Techniques for Location Privacy in IoT-Enabled Wireless Sensor Healthcare Networks

Ensuring patient privacy is critical for healthcare systems reliant on the Internet of Things. While prior work has addressed patient privacy extensively, a comprehensive end-to-end strategy protecting patients’ location and data privacy under the assumption that system entities are untrusted has yet to be developed. In response, this paper proposes a novel hybrid Deep Q-learning Neural Network (DQ-NN) technique tailored to Source Location Privacy (SLP) integrated with Blockchain technology for routing in Internet of Things (IoT)-enabled Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). To overcome the shortcomings of the existing systems, the study offers extremely random routing paths between the source and sink nodes. The plan uses strategically selected phantom nodes to transmit packets to the sink node randomly, ensuring the paths are incredibly confusing to the enemy. To attain maximum privacy and optimize energy consumption, the suggested method employs a hybrid DQNN model to select optimal paths among multiple paths generated. Blockchain integration adds an extra layer of security to the routing network. The results of the simulation show that the proposed scheme outperforms other schemes by offering a more extended safety period, optimized energy, and enhanced privacy for the healthcare environment. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Human activity recognition is a well-established research problem in ubiquitous computing. The increased dependency on various smart devices in our daily lives allows us to investigate the sensor data world produced by multimodal sensors embedded in smart devices. However, the raw sensor data are often unlabeled and annotating this vast amount of data are a costly exercise that can often lead to privacy breaches. Self-supervised learning-based approaches are at the forefront of learning semantic representation from unlabeled sensor data, including when applied to human activity recognition tasks. As inferring human activity depends on multimodal sensors, addressing the modality difference and inter-modality dependencies in a model is an important process. This paper proposes a novel self-supervised learning approach, modality aware contrastive learning (MACL), for representation learning using multimodal sensor data. The approach uses different sensing modalities to create different views of an input signal. Thus, the model is able to learn the representations by maximizing the similarity among different sensing modalities of the same input signal. Extensive experiments were performed on four publicly available human activity recognition data sets to verify the effectiveness of our proposed MACL method. The experimental evaluation results show that the MACL method attains a comparable performance for human activity recognition to the compared baseline models, directly exceeding the performance of models using standard augmentation transformation strategies. © 2024 The Authors. Biometric applications widely use the face as a component for recognition and automatic *** rotation is a variable component and makes face detection a complex and challenging task with varied angles and *** problem has been investigated,and a novice algorithm,namely RIFDS(Rotation Invariant Face Detection System),has been *** objective of the paper is to implement a robust method for face detection taken at various *** to achieve better results than known algorithms for face *** RIFDS Polar Harmonic Transforms(PHT)technique is combined with Multi-Block Local Binary Pattern(MBLBP)in a hybrid *** MBLBP is used to extract texture patterns from the digital image,and the PHT is used to manage invariant rotation *** this manner,RIFDS can detect human faces at different rotations and with different facial *** RIFDS performance is validated on different face databases like LFW,ORL,CMU,MIT-CBCL,JAFFF Face Databases,and Lena *** results show that the RIFDS algorithm can detect faces at varying angles and at different image resolutions and with an accuracy of 99.9%.The RIFDS algorithm outperforms previous methods like Viola-Jones,Multi-blockLocal Binary Pattern(MBLBP),and Polar HarmonicTransforms(PHTs).The RIFDS approach has a further scope with a genetic algorithm to detect faces(approximation)even from shadows.

Lung cancer is a highly lethal disease, claiming the lives of approximately 1 million individuals annually. Cancer is characterized by abnormal and rapid cell growth, making it difficult to control, though early diagnosis through Computed Tomography (CT) scan images can significantly improve chances of survival. However, detecting lung cancer early is challenging and can increase the risk of complications such as infection, inflammation, and tumor growth in the lungs. Moreover, the current methods for analyzing lung cancer prognosis have low accuracy. To solve this problem, we proposed an Optimized Weighting-Based Enhanced Neural Network (OWENN) method to classify patients based on attributes accurately. Furthermore, they utilize the Adaptive Median Filter (AMF) technique during image pre-processing to calculate the mean value of each pixel and remove noise. Moreover, Improved Particle Swarm Optimization (IPSO) can be implemented to extract tumors from lung images efficiently. Finally, the OWENN method improves the accuracy of cancer or non-cancer detection by classifying patients based on their selected attributes. Afterward, the experimental results indicate that the suggested OWENN approach can attain lung cancer prediction by evaluating sensitivity, precision, accuracy, and time delay. © 2024 IEEE.
