Melanoma is a type of cancer known to be the most dangerous and is called the life threatening disease. Every year, there is rise in number of people being diagnosed with melanoma which is more frequent among the males than the females. This type of skin cancer has an uncontrollable growth of cells that can grow really faster, if not treated it can spread all over the body. Hence this disease needs to be detected at the early stages so that the patients can be treated properly. Machine learning approaches were applied to detect skin cancer but the drawbacks were that the performance to identify the cancer was limited. Therefore, we constructed a model by utilizing a Convolution Neural Network of the most advanced deep learning where we conduct investigations for discovering the melanoma skin cancer on the basis of the skin lesion. In this research, using transfer learning techniques ResNet and VGG based models have been brought together for melanoma skin detection. The procedures were applied to train these models using optimizers like RMSprop, Adam, Stochastic Gradient Descent (SGD) and findings were presented with the support of accuracy, confusion matrix, sensitivity, specificity and precision. © 2023 IEEE.

As healthcare IT develops at a dizzying rate, the age of big data is drawing near. Tumor disease prediction, monitoring, diagnosis, and treatment are all profoundly affected by data mining and analysis. Brain-tumors(BT) are considered the most terrible and deadly disease due to their aggressive nature, short survival rate, and diverse spectrum of symptoms. Inadequate medical therapy for patients with misdiagnosed brain tumors lowers their survival prospects. The ability to differentiate amid abnormal &normal tissues makes BT detection extremely difficult. An accurate diagnosis allows the patient to undergo effective therapy and has a better chance of long-term survival. Because of the abnormal pattern of lesion distribution, there are still convinced difficulties in diagnosing BTs, even though there has been a lot of research on the subject. Because tiny areas may seem healthy, it might be challenging to locate a zone with few lesions. Classification accuracy is negatively impacted, and selecting and extracting useful characteristics becomes more difficult. An important part is the automated categorization of precancerous BTs utilizing deep &machine learning strategies. This study presents a Convolutional-Neural-Network-Long-Short-Term-Memory (CNN-LSTM) model, a hybrid DL-technique, for the purpose of MRI-based brain tumor classification and prediction. An MRI brain imaging collection is utilized for our experiments. An effective preprocessing of the data is the first step in using a CNN to extract major characteristics from images. With a 99.3% significant classification accuracy, 99.2% precision, 99.1% recall, and 99.1% F1-measure, the suggested model successfully predicts the brain tumor. © 2024 IEEE.

Recent developments in computer networking have made it possible to access information from a faraway location via either wireless or wired networks. The recent advancements in wireless infrastructure are directly responsible for the advent of wireless sensor networks, often known as WSNs. These networks make it easier to keep track of environmental happenings and activities, as well as document them and manage them. In WSNs, data relaying is accomplished through the use of a variety of routing strategies. Industry 4.0, also known as the fourth industrial revolution, is characterized by the incorporation of highly developed physical automation systems. These systems are made up of several pieces of machinery and gadgets that are linked together by sensors and are operated by software. The goal of the fourth industrial revolution is to improve the effectiveness and dependability of business processes. The Internet of Things (IoT) can be leveraged in manufacturing, which gives a means of linking engines, power grids, and sensors to the cloud in an industrial context. This is accomplished through the use of Industrial IoT. The purpose of this paper is to gain an understanding of how the Internet of Things functions in wireless sensor networks and its possible applications in a variety of settings. © 2024 IEEE.

Recent advances in the diffusion model mark a significant leap in AI-generated image technology while extending its application to the Internet of Things (IoT). However, deploying these models on resource-constrained edge devices presents considerable challenges, primarily due to their high computational energy demands and stringent quality requirements. In response to these challenges, we introduce a collaborative inference system tailored for green edge networks. First, we propose a multi-exit U-ViT model that achieves the balance between inference quality and processing speed by allowing adaptive selection of exit points during diffusion for efficient processing. Next, we develop a novel generative AI-assisted reinforcement learning algorithm that controls the exit selections and offloading decisions of the device to achieve maximum global gain. Furthermore, we design a novel policy network incorporating an attention-based state-embedded policy network to enhance the algorithm's ability to perceive and make decisions about the state of the environment. Experimental results demonstrate that our system achieves energy-efficient inference while ensuring the quality of the generated content. © 2024 IEEE.

Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) stands as a transformative paradigm in machine learning, enabling the creation of complex and realistic data from latent representations. This review paper comprehensively surveys the landscape of Generative AI, encompassing its foundational concepts, diverse models, training methodologies, applications, challenges, recent advancements, evaluation metrics, and ethical dimensions. The paper begins by introducing Generative AI's significance across various domains, presenting its pivotal role in producing synthetic data with applications spanning image synthesis, text generation, music composition, drug discovery, and more. The objectives lie in elucidating the foundational concepts, delving into model intricacies, unveiling the training procedures, exploring its application landscape, addressing challenges, envisioning future directions, and discussing ethical ramifications. The foundational section elucidates the diverse array of generative models, including Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), Variational Autoencoders (VAEs), flow-based models, Generative Reinforcement Learning (GRL), and advanced hybrid architectures. Subsequently, evaluation metrics ranging from Inception Score to perceptual similarity metrics and human evaluations are surveyed to assess generative model performance. Machine learning techniques have been have proven to be more effective than conventional extensively used in the creation of intrusion detection systems (IDS) that can swiftly and automatically identify and classify cyber attacks at the host-and network-levels. A scalable solution is needed since destructive attacks are happening so quickly and are changing all the time. For more investigation, the malware community has access to a number of malware databases. The performance of several machine learning algorithms on a range of datasets that were made available to the general public, however, has not yet been thoroughly evaluated by any study. The publicly available malware datasets should be regularly updated and benchmarked due to the dynamic nature of malware and the continuously evolving attacking techniques. In this study, a deep neural network (DNN), a type of deep learning model, is examined in order to create a flexible and efficient IDS to identify and categorise unexpected and unanticipated cyber threats. In order to analyse a variety of datasets that have been produced throughout time using both static and dynamic methodologies, it is vital to take into account the rapid increase in attacks and the constant evolution of network behaviour. It is simpler to select the most effective algorithm for accurately predicting forthcoming cyber attacks with the help of this type of research. Many publicly available benchmark malware datasets are used to offer a thorough review of DNN and other conventional machine learning classifier studies. The KDDCup 99 dataset and the accompanying hyper parameter selection techniques are used to choose the ideal network parameters and topologies for DNNs. A learning rate of [0.01-0.5] is applied to every 1,000-epoch DNN experiment. A variety of datasets, including NSL-KDD, UNSW-NB15, Kyoto, WSN-DS, and CICIDS 2017, as well as the DNN model that performed well on KDDCup 99 are used to conduct the benchmark. We focus on the self-supervised discovery of manipulation concepts that can be adapted and reassembled to address various robotic tasks. We propose that the decision to conceptualize a physical procedure should not depend on how we name it (semantics) but rather on the significance of the informativeness in its representation regarding the low-level physical state and state changes. We model manipulation concepts - discrete symbols - as generative and discriminative goals and derive metrics that can autonomously link them to meaningful sub-trajectories from noisy, unlabeled demonstrations. Specifically, we employ a trainable codebook containing encodings (concepts) capable of synthesizing the end-state of a sub-trajectory given the current state - generative informativeness. Moreover, the encoding corresponding to a particular sub-trajectory should differentiate the state within and outside it and confidently predict the subsequent action based on the gradient of its discriminative score - discriminative informativeness. These metrics, which do not rely on human annotation, can be seamlessly integrated into a VQ-VAE framework, enabling the partitioning of demonstrations into semantically consistent sub-trajectories, fulfilling the purpose of discovering manipulation concepts and the corresponding sub-goal (key) states. We evaluate the effectiveness of the learned concepts by training policies that utilize them as guidance, demonstrating superior performance compared to other baselines. Additionally, our discovered manipulation concepts compare favorably to human-annotated ones while saving much manual effort. This work investigates using Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and VGGNet architecture, for realtime emotion detection. Raw data from the FER-2013 dataset is transformed from CSV format into organized image directories, segmented by distinct emotions. The resulting model, equipped with convolutional, pooling, and dense layers, effectively classifies emotions from 48x48 grayscale images. In application, the model overlays detected emotions onto a webcam stream. An integrated music player module synchronizes music with the subject's emotions. Overall, this research explores a comprehensive interactive system focused on recognizing and responding to human emotions. Without further training data, our model, to the best of our understanding, achieves modern single-network accuracy of 74.57% on FER2013 © 2024 IEEE.

This study offers a unified surgical conception of skin neoplasms using deep learning and genetic optimization techniques to improve classification values and speed of diagnosis. In this case, the architecture of Convolutional Neural Networks such as MobileNet, Xception and Inception is enhanced on the basis of the creative algorithms of Particle Swarm Optimization and Bat Algorithm to adjust the hyperparameters. The Heroku hosted cloud solution permits registered users to upload pictures of skin lesions via the web interface, where the picture is then processed through a Deep Neural Network (DNN) model that classifies the lesion as either melanoma or non-melanoma. The Convolution Neural Network (CNN) models were trained and evaluated on large publicly available datasets of skin lesions like ISIC, HAM10000 and the model performance was evaluated based on the effect of varying optimizers. Among all the architectures, Xception with Bat Algorithm (BA) performed best because of the more complex and deeper network architecture and extreme inception modules, which made it possible to extract and classify more complicated features. As a cloud-based solution, this system provides dermatologists and health practitioners with a more practical and workable solution for the detection of skin cancers. Furthermore, it can be utilized in other fields, which implies that this approach could extend its applications beyond dermatological imaging or imaging of patients at risk for other diseases, thus creating an adaptable and effective tool for clinical diagnosis in many areas of medicine. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

In order to increase the effectiveness and precision of cyber threat detection in computer networks, deep learning techniques are being applied in the construction of intelligent intrusion detection systems (IDS). The suggested IDS can automatically learn and recognize complicated patterns and characteristics from network traffic data by utilizing the capabilities of deep neural networks. Convolutional neural networks (CNNs), recurrent neural networks (RNNs), or deep belief networks (DBNs) are some examples of deep learning architectures that can be built as part of the system design. These models can then be trained on labelled data to distinguish between legitimate and nefarious network behavior. In order to detect both well-known and new threats, the IDS concentrates on capturing both known attack signatures and unusual behaviors. Deep learning models are well suited for real-time intrusion detection in dynamic network environments because they can generalize and adapt to changing threats. By using methods like transfer learning, dimensionality reduction, and visualization, the system also handles issues like feature extraction, scalability, and interpretability. The suggested IDS seeks to achieve higher detection rates, lower false positive rates, and improved resilience against evasion strategies through thorough experimentation and review. The ultimate objective is to create an intelligent IDS that accurately detects and mitigates hostile activity to successfully protect computer networks, improving the overall security posture of the network infrastructure. © 2023 IEEE.
