The matching and retrieval of the 2D shapes are challenging issues in object recognition and computer vision. In this paper, we propose a new object contour descriptor termed ECPDH (Elliptic Contour Points Distribution Histogram), which is based on the distribution of the points on an object contour under the polar coordinates. ECPDH has the essential merits of invariance to scale and translation. Dynamic Programming (DP) algorithm is used to measure the distance between the ECPDHs. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated using some standard tests on MPEG-7 shape database. The results show the precision and recall of our method over other recent methods in the literature.

In this paper, we propose a device-to-device(D2D) communication scheme to improve local services in cellular networks. By employing cooperative relay(CR) technology, D2 D and cellular communications can operate in orthogonal resource sharing(ORS) mode with the aim of optimizing the data rates for local D2 D users while fulfilling the minimum rate requirements for prioritized cellular users. In the proposed CR-based ORS scheme, we consider a cellular communication that is willing to share part of the occupied bandwidth resource with some D2 D communications. Hence, the newly-obtained resource can be used by a D2 D communication for the following two purposes, i.e., to compensate the rate loss of the cellular communication through cooperative relaying and to communicate its own information so as to increase its own rate. We formulated this CR-based ORS problem as a non-convex optimization problem. Hence, a global maximizer may not exist for the *** find the optimal solution for the problem, an effective heuristic algorithm is developed. D2D communication has been proposed as an important supplement to the existing centralized cellular networks which allows two physically adjacent cellular user equipments(UEs) to communicate *** paper concerns using D2 D to improve wireless multicast services in cellular networks. Specially, we consider a D2 D transmitter UE can act as a full-duplex(FD) relay to assist a cellular multicast from a base station(BS) to a group of two UEs. And a new scheme which allows an intra-cell D2 D retransmission to underlay a cellular multicast is proposed. Under the constraint of the minimum signal-to-interference-and-noise ratio(SINR) required by each of the receiver UEs, the aim of the scheme is to select the best UE in a multicast group to perform the D2 D retransmission with the serving BS. Thus, the aggregate transmit power consumed at the BS and at the selected UE can be minimized. The numerical results show that the proposed scheme outperforms traditional cellular multicast scheme as it consumes less transmit power to achieve the same SINR target at the receiver UEs.

With increase demand on wireless services, equipment supporting multimedia applications has been becoming more and more popular in recent years. With billions of devices involved in mobile internet, data volume is undergoing an extremely rapid growth. Therefore, data processing and network overload have become two urgent problems. To address these problems, extensive study has been published on image analysis using deep learning, but only a few works have exploited this approach for video analysis. In this paper, a hybrid-stream big data analytics model is proposed to perform big data video analysis. This model contains four procedures, i.e., data preprocessing, data classification, data recognition and data load reduction. Specifically, an innovative multi-dimensional Convolution Neural Network (CNN) is proposed to obtain the importance of each video frame. Thus, those unimportant frames can be dropped by a reliable decision-making algorithm. Then, a reliable key frame extraction mechanism will recognize the importance of each frame or clip and then decide whether to abandon it automatically by a series of correlation operations. Simulation results illustrate that the size of the processed video has been effectively reduced. The simulation also shows that proposed model performs steadily and is robust enough to keep up with the big data crush in multimedia era.

The emerging interconnection among mobile/IoT devices, Fog Nodes and Cloud servers are creating a multi-tier pervasive communication-computing infrastructure that will one day embody billions of devices and span across elaborate hierarchies of administration and application domains. This novel infrastructure and its operation paradigms will give rise to new security challenges as well as new service opportunities. This paper provides an overview of the security landscape of OpenFog architecture as well as a survey of the functional requirements and the technical approaches currently being discussed in the OpenFog Security Workgroup. As a report of on-going work, this paper aims at stimulating further dialogue on OpenFog Security and fostering future development of novel technologies and practices.

Radio Frequency Identification technology (RFID) is the key technology to realize the internet of things. Currently, using RFID to locate objects indoor is a hot topic in the research on the application of RFID. In this paper, we propose an RFID system based on RFID technology and Wi-Fi wireless communication technology. And we design a corresponding handheld device client software to realize a visual book search and management system. This system can not only greatly improve the efficiency of book search and management but also save the manpower and material resources to a large extent, which has a practical application value.
