This paper proposes an alternative detection frame-work for multiple sclerosis (MS) and idiopathic acute transverse myelitis (ATM) within the 6G-enabled Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) environment. The developed framework relies on the implementation of a deep learning technique known as Dense Convolutional Networks (DenseNets) in the 6G-enabled IoMT to enhance prediction performance. To validate the performance of DenseNets, we compared it with other deep learning techniques, including Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and MobileNet, using real-world datasets. The experimental results show the high performance of DenseNets in predicting MS and ATM compared to other methods, achieving an accuracy of nearly 90 %.

This paper introduces an alternative technique for diagnosing Acute Ischemic Stroke within the IoMT environment. In the proposed approach, the collected data is transmitted to a cloud-based center where the technique utilizes EfficientNet, a deep learning model, designed to extract features from MRI images thereby enhancing the detection of acute ischemic infarctions. The performance of EfficientNet is compared against two other models, CNN and MobileNet, demonstrating its superior efficacy through metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score, which stand at 92.31%, 92.28%, 92.33%, and 92.30%, respectively.

Medicinal plant recognition manually takes a lot of time and money. Moreover, to reduce these resources, some researchers propose to implement artificial intelligence technology. This paper aims are to conduct a systematic literature review of medicinal plant leaf recognition published in the last two years (2019-2020) from IEEE, Springer and science Direct. We obtained 15 studies in the field of medicinal plant leaf recognition using artificial intelligence. The dataset used for medicinal plant leaf recognition is mostly used private dataset, however, there are public dataset named Leaf, Flavia, Swedish dataset. We also found robust method that can be used for medicinal plant leaf recognition is Multichannel Modified Local Gradient Pattern (MCMLGP) and Gray Level Co-Occurrence Matrix (GLCM) as feature extraction;and Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), Multi-Layer Perceptron trained with Backpropagation algorithm (MLP-BP), Support Vector Machine (SVM), and Transfer Learning (VGG19) as classifier. © 2021 IEEE.

The increasing use of IoT devices on future networks is very helpful for humans in their lives. However, the increase in devices connected to IoT networks also increases the potential for attacks against those networks. Vulnerabilities in Internet of Things (IoT) networks can be exposed at any time. Artificial intelligence can be used to protect the IoT network by being able to detect attacks on the network so that they can be prevented. In this study, network detection was carried out using the Deep Neural Network (DNN) algorithm. The test was carried out using the UNSW Bot-IoT dataset with a comparison of training data of 75% of the overall data. The results obtained show the ability of the algorithm to detect attacks on average with 99.999% accuracy. The validation loss and training loss look very small. In this study, there is a validation loss that still occurs in overfitting, but the difference is very small. © 2022 IEEE.

This research discusses the improvement of Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) model accuracy in translating Batak to Indonesian by utilizing FastText and GloVe embeddings. Traditional LSTM models often struggle with the complexity and richness of underrepresented languages like Batak. By integrating FastText and GloVe, which provide word vectors with deeper semantic meanings, the translation quality can be significantly enhanced. Experimental results show that this approach offers a substantial performance improvement compared to conventional LSTM models, producing more accurate and contextual translations. These findings have the potential to be applied in broader multilingual translation systems and support the preservation and digital accessibility of minority languages.

The increasing prevalence of deep hoaxes, such as fake news and phishing schemes, poses a significant threat to cybersecurity, undermining trust and spreading misinformation. In Indonesia, surveys indicate that more than 60% of people exposed to hoax news believe that it is true, emphasizing the urgent need for robust detection methods. Traditional cybersecurity approaches often struggle to keep pace with the growing scale and sophistication of these attacks. To address this challenge, this research investigates the use of deep learning techniques, specifically focusing on text-based hoax detection in the Indonesian language. The study fine-tunes IndoBERT, a pretrained deep learning model optimized for Indonesian text, to enhance the accuracy and scalability of hoax detection. The IndoBERT model was trained on a balanced dataset of 29,552 articles, comprising both hoax and real news content, collected from the Mafindo API and Kaggle's Indonesia News Dataset. The model was fine-tuned using supervised learning and evaluated using several key metrics, including accuracy, F1-score, precision, and recall. The results demonstrate that IndoBERT outperforms existing state-of-the-art approaches, achieving an accuracy of 98.51%, an F1-score of 98.44%, and a precision of 98.23% on the test set. These results highlight the effectiveness of IndoBERT for hoax detection, which offers a scalable solution to improve cybersecurity defenses against deceptive content. This research contributes to the integration of advanced deep learning models into cybersecurity systems, addressing the evolving landscape of cyber threats. © 2025 IEEE.

Equivariant Graph Neural Networks (EGNNs) have demonstrated significant success in modeling microscale systems, including those in chemistry, biology and materials science. However, EGNNs face substantial computational challenges due to the high cost of constructing edge features via spherical tensor products, making them impractical for large-scale systems. To address this limitation, we introduce E2Former, an equivariant and efficient transformer architecture that incorporates the Wigner 6j convolution (Wigner 6j Conv). By shifting the computational burden from edges to nodes, the Wigner 6j Conv reduces the complexity from O(|E|) to O(|V|) while preserving both the model’s expressive power and rotational equivariance. We show that this approach achieves a 7x–30x speedup compared to conventional SO(3) convolutions. Furthermore, our empirical results demonstrate that the derived E2Former mitigates the computational challenges of existing approaches without compromising the ability to capture detailed geometric information. This development could suggest a promising direction for scalable and efficient molecular modeling. © 2025, CC BY.

This study presents a hybrid model, STL-ARIMA-ES-LSTM, developed to improve the accuracy of Gross Primary Productivity (GPP) forecasts in the Amazon region. The model integrates seasonal and trend decomposition using Loess (STL) with statistical methods (ARIMA and Exponential Smoothing-ES) and a machine learning technique (Long Short-Term Memory - LSTM). Applied to GPP data from the PE-QFR site, the hybrid model achieved significantly better error metrics, with RMSE of 1.69 gC/m2/day, MAE of 1.35 gC/m2/day, and MAPE of 0.20%, compared to the standalone LSTM (RMSE of 2.16 gC/m2/day, MAE of 1.78 gC/m2/day, and MAPE of 0.27%). Furthermore, the hybrid model showed stronger agreement with the observed data, with correlation coefficient r =0.62 and R2 =0.39 , whereas the LSTM alone yielded r =0.26 and R2 = –0.002. The STL decomposition allowed effective separation of trend, seasonality, and residual components, enabling tailored modeling of each, which contributed to the improved predictive performance. These results demonstrate the advantage of hybrid approaches in capturing the nonlinear and seasonal patterns of GPP, supporting enhanced environmental monitoring and more informed climate change mitigation strategies in the Amazon. © 2013 IEEE.

Information technology and the Internet have progressed rapidly in people’s lives, the privacy of information has become an important issue due to the accessibility of data. Therefore, to enhance information security and privacy protection, this paper proposes a new high-capacity method for data hiding. The proposed method is based on 3D magic cube with double layers embedding. In the field of data hiding, the reference matrix-based methods attract many researchers because of its high-capacity. Recently, as the needs of the high payloads of the stego-image, the multi-layers-based technique is applied to provide larger embedding capacity. However, the image after data embedding will cause serious distortions, especially on multi-layers embedding, hence, keeping the image at a good visual quality and achieving high-payloads are the main challenges for data hiding. In this scheme, we take advantage of 3D magic cube and 3D reference space with double layers embedding for our data hiding technique to improve the embedding payloads. An Improved Convolutional Neural Networks Based on Variation Types of Optimizers for Handwritten Digit Recognition

Many deep learning algorithms, especially CNN for classification, have been proposed in the literature. However, the selection of kernel size, dilatation, stride, variation of type optimizers have not been taken into consideration. Therefore, several previous models failed to improve the classification accuracy significantly. This paper proposes two models, i.e., CNN-5L (variation of parameters) and CNN-5LS (without variation of parameters). The prediction process of the two models uses various optimizer types, i.e., the optimizers of Adam, Adagrad, SGD, RMSprop, Adagrad, Adadelta, Adamax, Nadam, Ftrl, and the Without optimizer as control. The prediction process uses variations in the number of epochs ie, epoch = 10, epoch = 15, epoch = 30, epoch = 60, epoch = 120. As a result, The prediction results of the CNN-5L model in classifying MNIST handwritten digits were obtained in epoch = 120 based on an accuracy of 98.30% with 13.27 s execution before augmentation and 98.38% with 66.05 s in after augmentation execution.
