Along with technological improvements, online shopping is currently developing quickly. Online shops started by selling electronics, clothing, food, and home appliances and continue to evolve, selling various things. Currently, digital marketing has a novel technique, namely live shopping, where sellers can present, promote and offer their products directly through live streaming on social media and e-commerce platforms. This research will focus on gaining insight into the factors influencing customers to watch and purchase through live streaming. This research is an early-stage study of exploring and searching for research models. The study used a literature review approach by reviewing similar previous research articles. Several variable components were used in this study. The findings of the factors include visibility capacity, meta-vocation capacity, purchase orientation capacity, social presence, price, perceived product quality, perceived enjoyment, purchase orientation, perceived usefulness, and intention to buy. These factors were tested and proved to be valid with Cronbach's Alpha value being more than 0.5 and reliable with the value of the loading factor a greater than 0.6. Criteria The factors of the findings for further analysis of the relationship between factors and other variables. © 2023 IEEE.

The number of scientific papers related to biology is rapidly increasing, and with it, the number of pathway figures containing crucial biological information. However, manually annotating these figures is a time-consuming process, and current optical character recognition (OCR) methods are not effective in identifying gene names within these figures. To improve gene name recognition from pathway figures, we utilized a Siamese network that maps image segments to a library of pictures containing known gene name, like object recognition in many photo applications. We combined the triplet convolution neural network and the spatial pyramid pooling (TSPP-Net) to create a CNN triple loss function. We trained and tested the developed TSPP-Net network using 563 gene images from 45 pathway pictures, 1000 images of alphanumeric characters and gene names from HUGO and KEGG. To benchmark against major available OCR technologies, we used 20 randomly selected curated pathway genes. Additionally, we compared several models, such as VGG19, VGG16, Resnet-50 Resnet-18, Densnet-121, and Xception for the Siamese backbone network model. VGG16 achieved the best performance with an accuracy of 93%, which is much higher than the results obtained using OCR. Our code is publicly available at https://***/MuhammadAzam636/Siamese-Network.

The rise of artificial intelligence agents and information technology platforms governed by data-driven algorithms has had profound impacts on the way knowledge work is managed and carried out. Concerning the novel uses of digital work platforms, the arising tensions might suggest that the socio-technical design frameworks adopted by major tech firms are becoming less viable and in some cases ineffective. We propose a conceptual architecture to support a socio-technical framework for exploring Personal Knowledge Ecologies in the context of the digital knowledge economy. This framework aims to increase the degree of individual freedom for the interoperation of these knowledge information infrastructures.

Maternal health is a critical concern, particularly for individuals who are pregnant and will shape the future generations. However, not all expectant mothers receive tailored attention and care for their unique health needs. Consequently, many mothers face high levels of health risks during pregnancy, highlighting the importance of classifying maternal health risks. Classification can help identify influential factors affecting maternal health and predict risk levels for individual mothers. In the field of data mining, various classification methods exist for analyzing complex datasets. This study focuses on two widely used algorithms: decision tree and k-Nearest Neighbor (kNN). By employing these algorithms, we aim to classify a dataset comprising 1,014 records of maternal health risk levels. Through cross-validation and T-tests, we rigorously evaluate the performance of the decision tree and kNN algorithms in this context. Our findings indicate that the kNN algorithm is more suitable for classifying maternal health risks, achieving a significantly higher accuracy of 71.50% compared to the decision tree algorithm's accuracy of 70.71%. This result establishes the superiority of the kNN algorithm in accurately classifying maternal health risks. These findings have implications for developing targeted interventions and tailored healthcare strategies to mitigate identified risks.

Many researchers have proposed various theories and techniques to estimate the value of Bitcoin. However, there is still a great opportunity to suggest a new approach to Bitcoin forecasting. This research will examine the concept of forming a patterned dataset to prove the hypothesis regarding the start of a bitcoin price fluctuation until the end of the fluctuation using patterned dataset pairs in conditions of price decline (moon) and in conditions of price decline (crash). Patterned datasets were initially built from data on the movement of all cryptocurrency assets on a digital cryptocurrency trading market. The Patterned Dataset is programmed based on the response of all crypto assets to changes in the price of bitcoin over time. Patterned datasets are better able to describe the conditions of the digital cryptocurrency market, along with patterns of potential increases and decreases in Bitcoin prices in particular and cryptocurrencies in general. To deepen the observations, resampling of the patterned dataset was carried out with a 4-hour timeframe using the mean, median, min, max, and sum filter functions on pairs of crash and moon conditions per month. The results show that filter functions other than sum, namely mean, median, min, and max, provide markings of fluctuation area patterns that are easier to recognize. Two hypotheses related to fluctuations were also successfully proven in this research.

Competency Skills (UKK) is part of government intervention in ensuring the quality of education in the Secondary Vocational School aims to measure the achievement of a certain level of competency in students' appropriate competency skills. The purpose of the research is to find out how competent the students' in their vocation as well as new strategies for educators in providing more effective learning by using C4.5 algorithm combining with feature selection. Overall the results of the validation of the model experiments that have the best influence are supplied with a set of test accuracy values of 96.875%, and 13 optimal attributes are selected. Therefore, in this study, the C4.5 algorithm with feature selection can provide good and effective results. © 2020 EAI.

[Background] Emotional Intelligence (EI) can impact Software Engineering (SE) outcomes through improved team communication, conflict resolution, and stress management. SE workers face increasing pressure to develop both technical and interpersonal skills, as modern software development emphasizes collaborative work and complex team interactions. Despite EI’s documented importance in professional practice, SE education continues to prioritize technical knowledge over emotional and social competencies. [Objective] This paper analyzes SE students’ self-perceptions of their EI after a two-month cooperative learning project, using Mayer and Salovey’s four-ability model to examine how students handle emotions in collaborative development. [Method] We conducted a case study with 29 SE students organized into four squads within a project-based learning course, collecting data through questionnaires and focus groups that included brainwriting and sharing circles, then analyzing the data using descriptive statistics and open coding. [Results] Students demonstrated stronger abilities in managing their own emotions compared to interpreting others’ emotional states. Despite limited formal EI training, they developed informal strategies for emotional management, including structured planning and peer support networks, which they connected to improved productivity and conflict resolution. [Conclusion] This study shows how SE students perceive EI in a collaborative learning context and provides evidence-based insights into the important role of emotional competencies in SE education. This research aims to develop a prediction model for scholarship recipients using the k-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) and Synthetic Minority Over Sampling Technique (SMOTE) algorithms. The method in model development uses the Cross-Industry Standard Process for Data Mining (CRISP-DM) which consists of phases of business understanding, data understanding, data processing, modeling, evaluation, and deployment. The dataset used is the Indonesian Smart College Card (KIP-K) Scholarship data in the real world obtained at one of the universities in Indonesia. The evaluation of the model uses a confusion matrix to calculate the values of accuracy, recall, precision, F1-Score, and AUC. The research results show seven attributes that influence the selection process for prospective scholarship recipients, namely non-academic achievement scores, selection test scores, survey scores, interview scores, economic condition scores, academic achievement, and choice of study programs. While the results of model testing produce the best model performance at a value of k=3 with 90.12% accuracy, 85.57% precision, 96.51% recall, 90.71% F1-score, and 0.957 AUC, which are included in the Excellent Classification category. Based on the test results, the model can be applied to a prediction system for prospective scholarship recipients at higher education institutions to make it more targeted.

Melanoma is a malignant form of cancer that affects the skin and has a particularly high mortality rate, so it requires early detection to increase the level of safety for users. Diagnosis and detection of skin cancer are usually done through manual screening and visual inspection. This process requires a long time, has high complexity, is subjective, and is prone to errors. CNN is one of the algorithms with advantages in accurate classification. In this research, early detection and classification of melanoma cancer were carried out based on two classes, namely benign and malignant using the Convolutional Neural Network method. Our proposed method yields an accuracy of 81.11% for the validation data. The accuracy results obtained can be improved by using more datasets and increasing the number of layers used. This study uses the CNN method using MobileNet V2 architecture to detect melanoma skin cancer. The class used is benign and malignant.

Functional and non-functional requirements are equally important in software engineering. Both of them are mixed together within the same software requirement document. Usually, they are expressed in natural languages. So, a lot of human effort is required to classify them. Software requirements classification is a challenging task. Requirements classification can help developers to deliver quality software that meets users' expectations completely. In this paper, we present a Semi-Automated classification approach of Arabic functional and non-functional requirements using a natural language processing (NLP) tool. We propose a set of heuristics based on basic constructs of Arabic sentences in order to extract information from Arabic software requirements to classify the requirements into functional and non-functional requirements. This research aims to help software engineers by reducing the cost and time required in performing manual classification of software requirements. © 2021 IEEE.
