Natural Language Processing (NLP) systems often make use of machine learning techniques that are unfamiliar to endusers who are interested in analyzing clinical records. Although NLP has been widely used in extracting information from clinical text, current systems generally do not support model revision based on feedback from domain experts. We present a prototype tool that allows end users to visualize and review the outputs of an NLP system that extracts binary variables from clinical text. Our tool combines multiple visualizations to help the users understand these results and make any necessary corrections, thus forming a feedback loop and helping improve the accuracy of the NLP models. We have tested our prototype in a formative think-aloud user study with clinicians and researchers involved in colonoscopy research. Results from semi-structured interviews and a System Usability Scale (SUS) analysis show that the users are able to quickly start refining NLP models, despite having very little or no experience with machine learning. Analysis backpropagation methods with neural network for prediction of children's ability in psychomotoric

A good age in optimizing aspects of development is at the age of 4-6 years, namely with psychomotor development. Psychomotor is broader, more difficult to monitor but has a meaningful value for the child's life because it directly affects his behavior and deeds. Therefore, there is a problem to predict the child's ability level based on psychomotor. This analysis uses backpropagation method analysis with artificial neural network to predict the ability of the child on the psychomotor aspect by generating predictions of the child's ability on psychomotor and testing there is a mean squared error (MSE) value at the end of the training of 0.001. There are 30% of children aged 4-6 years have a good level of psychomotor ability, excellent, less good, and good enough.

The development of information and communication technology at this time has touched all sides of life. Almost no side of human life is not touched by this information technology, which is more synonymous with the world of computerization. No exception also with the computerization that is popular in the corporate environment and government agencies. If in ancient times everything was still done manually. However, at this time all leaders and management have realized the importance of this information technology products that can facilitate them in carrying out the day-to-day corporate functions. Decision Making System of goods purchasing is one of the determinants of the accumulation of goods. If the decision is taken right then stockpiling of goods can be avoided. In this thesis the authors designed a web-based system that helps Management in making the decision of the purchase amount of goods. the system was developed by using Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 and using SQL Server database processing applications. In this research, the determination of the appropriate values of Gap for the assessment of promotion criteria of position in an institution / company. In this study the authors use Fuzzy Sugeno logic on the determination of Gap values used in Profile Matching method. Test results of 5 employees obtained the eligibility of promotion with the position of Z* values between in 3.20 to 4.11.

There has been a growing interest in Health informatics applications, research, and education within the Middle East and North African Region over the past twenty years. People of this region share similar cultural and religious values, primarily speak the Arabic language, and have similar health care related issues, which are in dire need of being addressed. Health informatics efforts, organizations, and initiatives within the region have been largely under-represented within, but not ignored by, the International Medical informatics Association (IMIA). Attempts to create bonds and collaboration between the different organizations of the region have remained scattered, and often, resulted in failure despite the fact that the need for a united health informatics collaborative within the region has never been more crucial than today. During the 2017 MEDINFO, held in Hangzhou, China, a new organization, the Middle East and North African Health informatics Association (MENAHIA) was conceived as a regional non-governmental organization to promote and facilitate health informatics uptake within the region endorsing health informatics research and educational initiatives of the 22 countries represented within the region. This paper provides an overview of the collaboration and efforts to date in forming MENAHIA and displays the variety of initiatives that are already occurring within the MENAHIA region, which MENAHIA will help, endorse, support, share, and improve within the international forum of health informatics.

Autonomous exploration aims to develop mechanisms that enable a robot to navigate through an unknown environment, seeking to collect information that is relevant to its objective, with minimal or no human intervention. This article presents an autonomous exploration strategy based on a multimodal continuous utility function and optimization metaheuristic. The problem of autonomous exploration of mobile robots is formulated as an optimization problem, providing data for a Firefly-based algorithm that is able to search for points in the solution space, representing cells on the map being constructed, that best meet the exploration objectives. Simulations in a Robot Operating System environment showed that the proposed approach is able to guide robot through good trajectories, leading to full mapping, without any human intervention.

A survey of interdependency models for critical infrastructure networks

The critical infrastructures of the nation such as the power grid and the communication network are highly interdependent. Also, it has been observed that there exists complex interdependent relationships between individual entities of the power grid and the communication network that further obfuscates the analysis, and mitigation of faults in such multi-layered networks. In recent years, the research community has made significant efforts towards gaining insight and understanding of the interdependency relations in such multi-layered networks, and accordingly, a number of models have been proposed and analyzed towards realizing this goal. In this chapter we study existing interdependency models proposed in the recent literature and discuss their approach, and inherent features, towards modeling interdependent multi-layer networks. We also provide a brief discussion into the drawbacks of each of these models and propose an alternate model that addresses these drawbacks by capturing the interdependency relationships using a combination of conjunctive and disjunctive relations.
