Fully homomorphic encryption (FHE) is a useful cryptographic primitive. It makes a third-party manipulate data in the ciphertext space and therefore is a key technology for privacy-preserving outsourcing services. Theoretically, FHE can evaluate any circuits. However, the implementation is not trivial. The reason it lacks lots of basic operations like conditional check and branch control. In this paper, we focus on extended Euclidean algorithm operation over FHE. We introduce the problems we encounter and show how we solve these issues. We implement our design and evaluate its performance on a real computer. Research on the study of houses, condominiums and buildings in Taiwan’s metropolitan areas continues to be an important area of research. In real estate forecasting and analysis, methods such as statistical analysis and questionnaire data collection are widely used. However, when multidimensional data is considered, these methods are time-consuming and inadequate. This study aimed to build a real estate forecasting model that can adapt to a changing environment. Data were collected from public government databases, the collected data were standardized for accurate clustering, an appropriate data clustering algorithm was applied to the standardized data, and cross-statistical analysis was performed to verify the adopted algorithm. We used a deep learning based on autoencoder algorithm to increase the accuracy of the clustering analysis. A double-bottom map particle swarm optimization (DBM-PSO) clustering algorithm was then used to determine the optimal clustering solution. Cluster analysis and deep learning were conducted on data collected from public websites to understand the factors that led to the sustained increase in housing prices in Taiwan over the past decade. The results of this study indicate that three key factors—the number of real estate transactions, the average unit price of real estate transactions, and the building material and construction index—significantly affected real estate prices in Taiwan. Our results could help researchers and governments to focus on specific aspects of real estate development without being influenced by other related factors. In addition, the relationships between real estate trends and the aforementioned three key factors were determined to obtain valuable information that can enable the Taiwanese government to regulate the property market and prevent excessive growth. The industry is rapidly transitioning from the 4.0 era to the 5.0 era, prompting renewed interest among scholars in scheduling problems. They allow operations to process and assemble various components simultaneously. This bibliometric analysis provides a comprehensive understanding of the diverse research perspectives on the potential challenges of integrated scheduling within the framework. We identified 357 Scopus articles and analysed co-occurrence keyword (CNK) by VOSViewer tools and Global Citation Score (GCS) by Scopus tools. The research data obtained from 1993 to 2023 mainly in the subject areas of Engineering, computer science, Maths, and others. CNK identified six cluster keywords, and nine most cited articles based on normalised GCS. These results contribute to our understanding of the development of scheduling algorithms, shifting from an emphasis on manufacturing transfers to contemporary demand-centric research directions. Furthermore, this research provides a valuable perspective for policymakers, plant personnel, and manufacturing managers to make informed decisions. © 2025 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V.

Infertile patients may be a high-risk group of mental disorder. The precise identification of the mental status of infertile patients can provide decision support to healthcare professionals and may be helpful in providing preventive measures accordingly. Rare studies focused on the mental status identification using artificial intelligence (AI) models for infertile people. This study aimed to precisely identify the mental status (anxiety and depression) of infertile patients using three AI models, the XGBoost, decision tree, and stacking models. The dataset, retrieved from a structured questionnaire survey in 2011, which included 400 infertility outpatients seeking reproductive treatments at three teaching hospitals in Taiwan was adopted for training and testing AI models. Aforementioned AI models were designed and reached identification performances of accuracy, precision, recall and area under ROC curve (AUC) equaling 0.75–0.82, 0.70–0.80, 0.64–0.72, and 0.64–0.72, respectively. The XGBoost model (accuracy = 0.82, precision = 0.80, recall = 0.72, and AUC = 0.72) outperformed or equaled the decision tree and stacking models in terms of accuracy, precision, recall, and AUC values. Designed AI models for mental status identification can be integrated into the clinical decision support system (CDSS) to provide the anxiety and depression group automatically. Accordingly, the worsening of infertility-related anxiety and depression can be prevented. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Lilies are popular in the global flower market, but consumers often lack information about specific varieties. To address this issue, this paper proposes a computer recognition platform based on the Vision Transformer (ViT) architecture. The proposed platform uses an improved vision transformer (ViT) architecture to classify different types of lilies, allowing consumers to access information and names of various Lilium species. The experimental results show that the proposed lily classification model achieved a 96.4% accuracy rate in classifying six lily species.

As IoT technology grows, several different payment methods are available now. NFC (Near Field Communication) as a short-range communication technology has been applied in many fields, such as contactless payment and electronic tickets. ATM (Auto Teller Machine) also benefits from NFC technology as one way of cardless cash withdrawal. However, there are many security problems, and convenience problems exist. In security, certain kinds of attacks, such as man-in-the-middle, replay, and brute-force attacks, must be considered. These attacks may influence user privacy. Furthermore, considering user experience, existing methods may not make users feel enough convenience when using. To enhance security and user experience, we proposed a secure NFC cardless cash withdrawal system using time stamps and nonce to reduce the risk of attack and design more effortless operations for users to enhance user experience. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Optimizing exceptional elements’ processing cost in manufacturing cell formation using fuzzy mathematical programming and heuristic solution algorithm

Cellular Manufacturing is a manufacturing strategy implemented to improve productivity and flexibility. Over the past two decades, it has shown significant effectiveness in practical applications. Its benefits include simplifying production processes, reducing production time, minimizing material handling, enhancing productivity innovation, and reducing quality issues. However, in the manufacturing of cellular systems, the issue of exceptional elements is always unavoidable. This refers to parts or operations that do not fit neatly into any single production cell and must be processed outside their designated cell. For manufacturers, there are three possible ways to deal with such exceptional elements: purchasing additional machines for the current manufacturing cell to process the parts, transporting the parts to other manufacturing cells for processing, or outsourcing the processing of the parts. However, any of these methods will inevitably increase the manufacturing costs for the manufacturer. Decision-makers must consider all potential issues to minimize overall costs as much as possible;however, few studies have addressed this in the past. This research proposes heuristic Tabu search algorithms to tackle the optimization of exceptional elements within manufacturing cells. Three models are developed: Model 1 allows partial outsourcing of part processing, while Model 2 requires full process outsourcing. The objective functions and constraints of these models account for the diversity of manufacturing cells and the treatment of exceptional elements, providing a comprehensive solution for system optimization. Model 3 apply the multi-objective function for compromising different objectives. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm in finding feasible or near-optimal solutions within a reasonable timeframe, ensuring the efficient handling of exceptional elements in manufacturing cell formation. © 2025 Elsevier Ltd

he MITRE ATT&CK framework categorizes threat actor behaviors into a sequence of techniques called the attack lifecycle. Based on this, Our work introduces a dual-labeled dataset that is accurately labeled with distinct techniques and lifecycles defined by ATT&CK. The dataset offered a more thorough perspective than previous datasets that employed binary or attack classification. It encompassed 17 distinct techniques throughout five lifecycles and was generated through an automated method that guarantees reproducibility and learnability. Reproducibility guarantees the dataset’s consistency, whereas learnability signifies its use in training machine learning models. Our analysis produced a positive result. The dataset achieved a Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.7 for reproducibility. Regarding distinguishing classes, it exhibits an average AUC-ROC score of 0.92 for techniques and 0.82 for lifecycles. The model training yielded an average F1 score of 0.95 for technique classification and 0.9 for lifecycle classification, but only for the traffic dataset. © 1986-2012 IEEE.

Two issues are addressed in this paper. Firstly, it investigates some important properties of bidirectional associative memories (BAM) and proposes an improved capacity estimate. Those properties are the encoding form of the input pattern pairs as well as their decoding, the orthogonality of the pattern pairs, the similarity of associated patterns, and the density of the pattern pairs. Secondly, it proposes an implementation approach to improve the storage capacity. The approach embraces three proposed methods, i.e., the bipolar-orthogonal augmentation, the set partition, and the combined method. Along with those methods is the construction of the set of bipolar orthogonal patterns.
