Developing a Model for Parkinson’s Disease Detection Using Machine Learning Algorithms

Parkinson’s disease(PD)is a chronic neurological condition that progresses over *** start to have trouble speaking,writing,walking,or performing other basic skills as dopamine-generating neurons in some brain regions are injured or *** patient’s symptoms become more severe due to the worsening of their signs over *** this study,we applied state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms to diagnose Parkinson’s disease and identify related risk *** research worked on the publicly available dataset on PD,and the dataset consists of a set of significant characteristics of *** aim to apply soft computing techniques and provide an effective solution for medical professionals to diagnose PD *** research methodology involves developing a model using a machine learning *** the model selection,eight different machine learning techniques were adopted:Namely,Random Forest(RF),Decision Tree(DT),Support Vector Machine(SVM),Naïve Bayes(NB),Light Gradient Boosting Machine(LightGBM),K-Nearest Neighbours(KNN),Extreme Gradient Boosting(XGBoost),and Logistic Regression(LR).Subsequently,the concentrated models were validated through 10-fold Cross-Validation and Receiver Operating Characteristic(ROC)—Area Under the Curve(AUC).In addition,GridSearchCV was utilised to measure each algorithm’s best parameter;eventually,the models were trained through the hyperparameter tuning *** 98%accuracy,LightGBM had the highest accuracy in this ***,KNN,and SVM came in second with 96%***,the performance scores of NB and LR were recorded to be 76%and 83%,*** is to be mentioned that after applying 10-fold cross-validation,the average performance score of LightGBM accounted for 93%.At the same time,the percentage of ROC-AUC appeared at 0.92,which indicates that this LightGBM model reached a satisfactory ***,we extracted meaningful insights and figured out potential gaps on top of *** extracting meaningful in

Facial Sentiment Analysis Using Convolutional Neural Network and Fuzzy systems

This study provides a detailed study of a Сonvolutional Neural Network (СNN) model optimized for facial eхpression recognition with Fuzzy logic using Fuzzy2DPooling and Fuzzy Neural Networks (FNN), and discusses data augmentation in model optimization. It highlights important roles. performance. First, the effectiveness of the models in classifying emotions from FER2013, RAB-DB, and СK+ datasets was evaluated by a 5-fold cross-validation method, which showed that the accuracy varied widely among different emotion classes and was affected by overfitting. It turned out to be easy. The integration of data augmentation techniques, including random rotation, translation, and inversion, significantly improved the model's generalization capabilities. This was evidenced by higher accuracy and more consistent loss curves observed across all folds. After augmentation, the model showed significant improvement, achieving average test accuracies of 98.95% on FER2013, 99.99% on RAF-DB, and 100% on СK+ across all folds. Despite these advances, challenges specific to certain classes of emotions remain, highlighting the need for continued model refinement. This study concludes that data augmentation is an important step in developing robust facial eхpression recognition models and has potential benefits for a variety of applications requiring accurate emotion recognition. © 2024 Slovene Society Informatika. Many things, such as goods, products, and websites are evaluated based on user's notes and comments. One popular research project is sentiment analysis, which aims to extract information from notes and comments as a natural language processing (NLP) to understand and express emotions. In this study we analyzed the sentiment of ChatGPT labeled tweet datasets sourced from the Kaggle community using five Machine Learning (ML) algorithms;decision tree, KNN, Naïve Bayes, Logistic Regression, and SVM. We applied three feature extraction techniques: positive/negative frequency, a bag of words (count vector), and TF IDF. For each classification algorithm. The results were assessed using accuracy measures. Our experiments achieved an accuracy of 96.41% with the SVM classifier when using TF- IDF as a feature extraction technique. © 2024 Slovene Society Informatika. All rights reserved.

Fine-Tuning BERT for Aspect Extraction in Multi-domain ABSA

Aspect extraction plays a crucial role in understanding the fine-grained nuances of text data, allowing businesses and researchers to gain deeper insights into customer opinions, sentiment distributions, and preferences. This study presents a BERT-based framework for aspect extraction in ABSA and evaluates its performance. Our research focuses on the comprehensive analysis of aspect extraction as we test our method using the SEMEVAL dataset of various consumer evaluations across diverse domains, including laptops, restaurants, and Twitter. By fine-tuning BERT on a large dataset, we aim to overcome the limitations of traditional approaches and improve the accuracy and efficiency of aspect extraction in ABSA. The experimental findings provide evidence of the efficacy of our methodology with a noteworthy aspect extraction accuracy of 0.98, highlighting its capacity to properly and consistently extract features. The article also explores the applicability of our approach to new domains and its possible applications in real-world scenarios. © 2023 Slovene Society Informatika. All rights reserved.

Robust tube-based MPC with smooth computation for dexterous robot manipulation

Dexterous robot manipulation has shone in complex industrial scenarios, where multiple manipulators, or fingers, cooperate to grasp and manipulate objects. When encountering multi-objective optimization with system constraints in such scenarios, model predictive control(MPC) has demonstrated exceptional performance in complex multi-robot manipulation tasks involving multi-objective optimization with system constraints. However, in such scenarios, the substantial computational load required to solve the optimal control problem(OCP) at each triggering instant can lead to significant delays between state sampling and control application, hindering real-time performance. To address these challenges, this paper introduces a novel robust tube-based smooth MPC approach for two fundamental manipulation tasks: reaching a given target and tracking a reference trajectory. By predicting the successor state as the initial condition for imminent OCP solving, we can solve the forthcoming OCP ahead of time, alleviating delay effects. Additionally,we establish an upper bound for linearizing the original nonlinear system, reducing OCP complexity and enhancing response speed. Grounded in tube-based MPC theory, the recursive feasibility and closed-loop stability amidst constraints and disturbances are ensured. Empirical validation is provided through two numerical simulations and two real-world dexterous robot manipulation tasks, which shows that the seamless control input by our methods can effectively enhance the solving efficiency and control performance when compared to conventional time-triggered MPC strategies.

information communications technology (ICT) refers to the technology used for communication and managing information must be utilized to enhance the environment, economics, mobility, and governance, among other facets of urban life, in order to create smart cities. However this progress is frequently accompanied by a number of challenges and unfavorable outcomes. This study aims to uncover ICT difficulties related to smart city infrastructure through an extensive literature review. In addition, a survey was carried out among Saudi nationals to find out what they thought about, anticipated, and worried about in terms of smart city concepts and features. The study also looked at a literature checklist of ICT problems, which included dangers to information security, incompatibilities across systems, privacy concerns, and deficiencies in digital capabilities. Based on the findings it appears that privacy breaches and information security concerns are the most important issues. This is explained by heightened susceptibility and potential, cyberattacks and a pervasive ignorance of the protection of personal data. Because of the anticipated high costs and difficulties with adaption and utilization, the public is concerned about incompatibility between systems and services. The development of digital payment technology, such as Gopay, has provided convenience for the Indonesian public. To understand user satisfaction and identify key issues, this study analyzes Gopay user reviews using a hybrid approach. The main issues addressed are the imbalance in review data and the lack of studies integrating Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) and Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) models for topic analysis. This research encompasses three main stages: topic identification using LDA, data balancing with Random Over Sampling and Neighborhood Cleaning Rule (ROS-NCL), and topic classification using CNN. The model is designed to accurately identify and classify key topics. Furthermore, this method is compared with other approaches to assess its advantages. The research findings show that this hybrid approach is effective in addressing data imbalance, achieving a topic classification accuracy of 96%. These findings provide valuable insights for service providers to improve the quality of Gopay services based on topic analysis derived from user feedback. © 2025 IEEE.
