The paper investigates the integration and adaptation of the LZ4 compression algorithm within the context of TizenRT, in addition to existing algorithms Miniz and LZMA. TizenRT, a real-time operating system tailored for Internet of Things (IoT) devices, presents unique challenges in balancing compression efficiency and resource constraints. The study evaluates the performance of LZ4 alongside Miniz and LZMA in terms of compression ratios, processing overhead, and memory utilization. Experimental results demonstrate the feasibility of LZ4's adoption in TizenRT, highlighting its potential to enhance data compression and decompression operations while adhering to the stringent requirements of IoT devices. The findings contribute to the optimization of data management strategies within the TizenRT ecosystem.

This paper outlines some preliminary work on the stability analysis of switched and hybrid systems. The hybrid systems considered are those that combine continuous dynamics, represented by differential or difference equations, with finite dynamics usually thought of as being a finite automaton. Here, we concentrate on the continuous dynamics and model the finite dynamics as switching among finitely many continuous systems. We introduce multiple Lyapunov functions as a tool for analyzing Lyapunov stability of such "switched systems". We use iterated function systems theory as a tool for Lagrange stability. We also discuss the case where the switched systems are indexed by an arbitrary compact set.< >

Fine-grained polycrystalline metals have a very high yield stress and excellent workability. Hence, numerous researchers are trying to develop an efficient process to obtain such materials. Our goal is to develop an efficient severe plastic deformation (SPD) process through investigating grain-refinement mechanisms in Equal Channel Angular Pressing (ECAP). In this paper, a series of molecular dynamics (MD) simulations of severe simple-shear deformations, which are ideally equivalent to SPD applied by typical ECAP processing routes, is performed using three-dimensional models that are thin and have a square shape with a periodic-boundary condition. We analyze the influences of the processing route and initial texture on the microstructural evolution. It is shown that twinning deformations are dominant under the calculated conditions, and that the structural evolution is notably affected by the relationship between the applied simple-shear direction and the characteristic crystal orientation, which can easily cause a twinning deformation. We conclude that Route A, without a rotation of the billet between processes, is the most efficient route. This is because twinning deformations along the simple-shear direction interact with the twin boundaries developed by the stress-component conjugate to the simple-shear. Furthermore, we demonstrate that the influence of the initial texture difference remains in force during multiple processes that have the same sliding plane.
