Detecting left ventricular systolic dysfunction (LVSD) traditionally relies on expensive and specialized echocardiography, limiting accessibility for many patients. To address this, researchers explore the potential of electrocardiography (ECG), a more affordable and widely available alternative, despite its historically limited performance in cardiac dysfunction detection. In this study, we present a novel approach that integrates a 1D convolutional neural networks (CNNs) with a large-scale language model (LLM) to simultaneously analyze sequential ECG data and non-sequential clinical metadata. To validate our model's effectiveness, we conducted rigorous comparative experiments on both specially collected clinical data and public datasets, achieving an impressive AUROC of 0.97 across both. Our findings underscore the capability of ECG-based AI to accurately predict LVSD including pacemaker patients, offering a rapid and cost-effective alternative to traditional echocardiography. This innovative approach could significantly enhance early diagnosis and management of cardiac dysfunction. © 2024 IEEE.

The objective of this systematic review is to analyze the application of machine learning for the prediction of pregnancy complications through an extensive review of published literature. The data sources for this research are scientific journals listed in prominent databases such as PubMed and Scopus. The findings of this research suggest that machine learning has been effectively employed in predicting pregnancy complications in multiple studies. Decision tree, random forest, logistic regression, and neural network are among the various machine learning algorithms that were utilized in this investigation. However, there are limitations to using machine learning technology in predicting pregnancy complications, such as reliance on the quality of data and a lack of transparency in the prediction process. This study provides a comprehensive understanding of the application of machine learning in predicting pregnancy complications and establishes a firm basis for further research in this area. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Thought digitalisation and the post pandemic period online meetings increase by 12.9% and number of attendees by 13.5%. According to Zoom, Google Meets, and MS Teams they collectively increased there amount of active users from March 2020 until june 2021 by 253%. Additionally virtual meetings are becoming inefficient, unproductive and unstructured, where results are not documented correctly. The intention is to shift those statistics by revolutionising the way online meeting are held. The paper outlines the technical requirements for a user-friendly web application that allows to reproduce a virtual meeting including agreements, its participants interactions and highlighting relevant sequences, is outlined. The developed AI meeting wizard autonomously documents the discussed content in the form of notes, to-dos tasks and integrates them directly into task management, mail or calendar tools. Reinforcing the focus on the discussion by increased interaction and productivity instead of task management and note taking.

This study is dedicated to a critical investigation of the existing approaches toward a data visualization management platform based on Fast Health Interoperability Resources (FHIR). Despite the growing popularity of FHIR, the available evidence provides a compelling reason to believe that its use is still accompanied by a significant number of technical challenges. Therefore, the development of tools to ensure its convenient visualization remains a pressing need for a variety of stakeholders operating in the healthcare industry. Results of the systematic literature review that included 26 studies provide valuable information about the most popular instruments in this area, such as the OpenEHR CKM approach. The review offers a critical discussion of the most important advantages and disadvantages of different approaches. It provides valuable recommendations for further research as well as practical recommendations concerning the best ways to utilize data visualization platforms based on FHIR. It defines the tradeoff of functionality versus the ease of dissemination as one of the most important problems facing most platforms and suggests avenues for developing additional tooling support for visualizing FHIR. The results of the research could be useful both for scientists and practitioners.

Patent has been an increasingly important role in the world because it is not only significant to protect the invention of the company's business but also to generate revenue from the commercialization. WIPO (2018) reports that the repository has many patents so, to assess patent, it consumes time and requires various expertise. Generally, several models have been developed to address this matter, which to assess using a questionnaire tool for portfolios by human. Perhaps, there is not precise because it is assessed base on personal bias or previous experience of expertise. So that, occurs bias any limitation exists that our research will address by artificial intelligence. Thus, this research applies a Natural Language programming to assess for commercial of the patent. Then, the obtained data is used to assigned factors and calculate the model for assessing the commercialization of patent. This finding should deliver an alternative effective patent assessment, which is tool addresses, some current deficiency patent assessment for commercialization. © 2022 PICMET.

This paper proposes a donation mobile app gamified to monitor players' donation decision. Three main scenarios were simulated to observe which factors affect the donation. First, five categories of donation project were available. Second, an expiring donation project was set and was alerted to players. Last, auctions were added to some donation projects to draw more players' attention. Testing with twelve young players revealed that the most influenced donation factor is the project's type. Health-related project was the most attentive. Also, the expiring donation project triggered the players' interest. Unfortunately, auctions rarely increased the amount of donation which may be due to the uninteresting bidding products. © 2022 IEEE.

Machine learning algorithms are fundamentally driven by the data provided by humans;consequently, the decisions made by those algorithms are not free from human bias. This is particularly evident in the case of facial analysis systems that employ machine learning algorithms. Recent studies have shown that the decisions made by many of the commercially available facial analysis systems are prejudiced against certain groups of race, ethnicity, age, gender and culture. Further studies have identified that the underlying reason for such biased decisions is that the open source material available for facial image databases which are used in commerce and academia to train the algorithms has meager diversity in these categories. To compound this issue, facial analysis technology is promoted by influential companies and artificial intelligence service providers without affirming the fairness and accuracy of the decisions given by these systems. To minimize bias and ensure representation of the Middle Eastern population in the imminent growth of this technology, we propose the development of two Arab face databases along with an algorithmic audit involving seven commercially available facial analysis systems. Of the databases, the first, Arab-LEANA, will include 300 Arab subjects' face images with variation in lighting, expression, accessory, nationality and age (LEANA). The second, Arab Public Figures Faces (APFF), will contain images and videos of 300 Arab public figures captured "in the wild". Faces for APFF will be selected manually from the internet since manual selection of faces will result in a high degree of variability in scale, pose, expression, illumination, age, occlusion and make-up. These databases will provide the worldwide community of face recognition researchers with a large-scale, diverse collection of Arab face images for training and evaluating algorithms toward developing a more representative, and therefore more robust, capacity for facial analysis. This paper presents a collection of computer use behavior prone to office syndrome by using pressure sensors in conjunction with IoT devices. IoT device was attached with a chair, and sensors were installed on the seat and the backrest. Another IoT set was linked with sensors installed under the mouse pad. The collected data of seven testers instructed to use computer and move freely revealed different behaviors. Some were sitting constantly with or without using backrest or touching mouse. Also a unique character like standing while using computer was found. To link with office syndrome estimation, we proposed a set of rules including thresholds for pressure values, time criteria and risk scoring. Using these criteria, the testers were found to have low and moderate risks of office syndrome. © 2022 IEEE.

Anomaly detection from images captured using camera sensors is one of the mainstream applications at the industrial level. Particularly, it maintains the quality and optimizes the efficiency in production processes across diverse industrial tasks, including advanced manufacturing and aerospace engineering. Traditional anomaly detection workflow is based on a manual inspection by human operators, which is a tedious task. Advances in intelligent automated inspection systems have revolutionized the Industrial Anomaly Detection (IAD) process. Recent vision-based approaches can automatically extract, process, and interpret features using computer vision and align with the goals of automation in industrial operations. In light of the shift in inspection methodologies, this survey reviews studies published since 2019, with a specific focus on vision-based anomaly detection. The components of an IAD pipeline that are overlooked in existing surveys are presented, including areas related to data acquisition, preprocessing, learning mechanisms, and evaluation. In addition to the collected publications, several scientific and industry-related challenges and their perspective solutions are highlighted. Popular and relevant industrial datasets are also summarized, providing further insight into inspection applications. Finally, future directions of vision-based IAD are discussed, offering researchers insight into the state-of-the-art of industrial inspection. © 2025, CC BY.

Objects with shadow may cause a problem for image classification. For example, it can separate one object into many objects. It can also alter the size or shape of the object resulting in misclassification. In this paper, we focus on removing aircraft shadow from remote sensing images where the shadows occur on wings, bodies, and tails. Since it is very difficult to get shadow-free aircraft images and a shadow aircraft image of the same type for the training part, we adopted Mask-ShadowGAN for solving this issue. The benefit of the Mask-ShadowGAN algorithm is that, in the training part, the technique does not require the same images that have both shadow and shadow-free. In the experiment, we evaluated our proposed technique using RMSE and Jaccard similarity index for measurement. The experimental result shows that our technique shows promising results. We present both best and worst result based on sorted similarity index. © 2021 IEEE.
