Recently, a-IGZO has advanced toward the next-generation electronics system because of its compatibility with complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) and back-end-of-line (BOEL) based systems. A systematic electrical characterization of a-IGZO TFT related to reliability issues, such as positive bias temperature stress (PBTS) and negative bias temperature stress (NBTS), would entitle its integration into novel electronics systems. Unexpectedly, PBTS is characterized by the transition of positive Vth shift to negative Vth shift (ΔVth, the positive shift followed by the stress and temperature activated negative shift). This transition is attributed to charge trapping/trap-site generations and hydrogen migration to the active layer. The ΔVth shift mechanism depends on the temperature and voltage stress. On the other hand, a negative ΔVth shift has been observed during the NBTS operation and could be attributed to the hole trapping at the interface of GI/IGZO. An effective suppression of the gate leakage current has also been observed during reliability tests. Simulation results reveal a pronounced potential at the edges of source and drain regions, and considered the origin of hydrogen migration into the IGZO layer. Thermal image results also reveal the strong temperature/potential distribution at the edges of the source/drain regions, indorsing the simulation results. © 2020 IEEE.

A Practical Extension of Computational Complexity Theory for Applications in Mathematics and sciences

Computable analysis extends classical computability theory to continuous domains, investigating the computability and complexity of problems in mathematical analysis. In this paper, we develop a framework for analyzing the complexity of mathematical problems across various fields by constructing highly efficient many-one reductions. For example, we show that the equivalence-to-identically-zero-function problem is reducible to determining whether the Jacobian determinant of a set of functions is identically zero, whether a Fredholm integral equation of the first kind has no eigenvalue, whether a Fredholm integral equation of the second kind has a trivial solution, whether the gradient of a function is identically zero, whether all finite orbits are closed in a given potential, and whether the Poisson bracket of two functions vanishes. Building on prior undecidability and productiveness (a stronger form of non-recursive enumerability) results for the equivalence-to-identically-zero-function problem, we establish that these problems are productive for specific classes of elementary functions. Furthermore, we explore potential approaches for applying classical complexity classes, such as NP, PSPACE, and EXPTIME, to computable analysis by leveraging the efficiency of our reductions. Our results provide a unified proof technique for analyzing complexity across different scientific domains, offering a practical extension of computational complexity theory to continuous mathematical structures. © 2025, The Authors. Multimodal deepfakes involving audiovisual manipulations are a growing threat because they are difficult to detect with the naked eye or using unimodal deep learning-based forgery detection methods. Audiovisual forensic models, while more capable than unimodal models, require large training datasets and are computationally expensive for training and inference. Furthermore, these models lack interpretability and often do not generalize well to unseen manipulations. In this study, we examine the detection capabilities of a large language model (LLM) (i.e., ChatGPT) to identify and account for any possible visual and auditory artifacts and manipulations in audiovisual deepfake content. Extensive experiments are conducted on videos from a benchmark multimodal deepfake dataset to evaluate the detection performance of ChatGPT and compare it with the detection capabilities of state-of-the-art multimodal forensic models and humans. Experimental results demonstrate the importance of domain knowledge and prompt engineering for video forgery detection tasks using LLMs. Unlike approaches based on end-to-end learning, ChatGPT can account for spatial and spatiotemporal artifacts and inconsistencies that may exist within or across modalities. The purpose of this study is to identify factors from the literature review that influence knowledge transfer among project managers at all levels. Findings indicate nine factors to potentially benefit knowledge transfer amongst project managers. They can be used by project managers involved in government agencies and private sector organizations as a preliminary guidance for the practice, improvement, and growth of project managers in order to achieve a competitive edge in business. Using the Scopus database, this study aims to investigate the use of artificial intelligence for cancer detection in the last ten years from 2013 to 2022. The researchers used bibliometric analysis combined with VosViewer and Rstudio software quantification method for literature analysis. The results of the flushed articles show data such as publication year, journal, country, keywords, and authors, to the highest number of citations. Common keywords used by researchers are artificial intelligence, medical, and human. Researchers limited the findings through keywords such as in the last ten years, documents are journals, and English only so that 1868 articles were obtained. The results found that Harvard Medical School affiliation had the highest number of articles, with 101 articles, by subject area, Medicine had a proportion of 41.9% (n=1320). This bibliometric study will be useful for other researchers to examine the development of research on Artificial Intelligence for Cancer Detection in the last ten years.

This study investigated the electrical properties of AlGaN/GaN high-electron-mobility transistors (HEMTs) with varied recess depths under the gate electrode. We demonstrated a recess depth of approximately 6 nm, which was achieved through neutral beam etching (NBE) technique with a low etch rate of 1.8 nm/min, resulting in device enhancement-mode (E-mode) behavior with threshold voltage (Vth) of 0.49 V. The effects of post-metallization annealing (PMA) on the device performance were also examined. The results revealed that PMA treatment improves the DC characteristics of the devices, including maximum drain current (IDMAX), transconductance (gm), subthreshold swing (SS), on-off ratio, and off-state leakage current, with maximum enhancement percentage of 18.3% for IDMAX, 3758% for on-off ratio, and 54.3% for SS. Moreover, this study compared the recess depths of metal-insulator-semiconductor high-electron-mobility transistors (MIS-HEMTs) with the SiN dielectric layer. The results showed that MIS-HEMTs exhibit more negative Vth values, which can be attributed to the controlled surface states achieved through passivation. © 2020 IEEE.

A microwave kiln, made of silicon carbide and ceramic fiber, commonly employs in a household glassware production process. In this process, when the kiln was in a microwave oven, a microwave transmitted to the kiln generating a high temperature to fuse the glass inside. This article presents a thermal simulation to investigate the temperature inside the kiln based on multiphysics consisting of a high-frequency structure simulator (HFSS) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD). The multiphysics results revealed the temperature inside the kiln in a transient state, consistent with the experimental results. As expected, the temperature increased with the increasing time of the process. Significantly, the silicon carbide had higher temperatures than the ceramic fiber; therefore, silicon carbide is a crucial material for generating heat inside the kiln. In addition, the temperature-increasing rate (TIR) inside the kiln depended on the kiln's thickness (Th). As a result, the thinner Th provided better TIR. The research findings can be applied to develop a high-efficacy household glassware production process.

A previous study [Entropy 25.4 (2023): 590] proposed a quantum secure multi-party summation protocol wherein n participants could obtain the modulo-2 summation result using single photons and single-particle operations. Owing to the absence of an entanglement state, this protocol was more practical than other quantum summation protocols that used entanglement properties. Thus, this study investigated the claim that this proposed protocol prevented the participants’ secret inputs from being disclosed. It was found that the previously proposed protocol was vulnerable to a quantum Trojan horse attack owing to the circular qubit transmission mode. Using a security loophole, this study proposed an attack strategy that allowed an outside attacker to steal any participant’s secret input without being detected by a third party and participants. In addition, a simulation experiment was conducted to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed attack and evaluate the number of quantum Trojan horse probes that the attacker must inject into regular qubit sequences. Finally, a solution was proposed by modifying the protocol to securely prevent quantum Trojan horse attacks. © 2024 IOP Publishing Ltd.

Intellectual Property Rights are fundamental to drive technological progress and economic growth. However, based on the 2022 Global innovation Index (GII), Indonesia experienced a decline in the patent innovation output index by 58%. which indicates problems in the utilization and management of IPR. Universities as knowledge generators are essential in increasing patents in Indonesia but have yet to be fully optimized. This study aims to develop a digital knowledge collaboration platform model. This study produces a digital knowledge collaboration model using the Soft Systems Methodology (SSM) approach. This study produces four main features of the digital knowledge collaboration model: Knowledge Sharing, Collaborative Research, Intellectual Property Management, and Legal and Regulatory Support. The main contribution of this study is to produce a conceptual model of digital knowledge collaboration and use case diagrams that universities can use as the primary foundation in developing a digital knowledge collaboration platform that lecturers, external partners, and the government can utilize.

The use of creative writing as training data for large language models (LLMs) is highly contentious and many writers have expressed outrage at the use of their work without consent or compensation. In this paper, we seek to understand how creative writers reason about the real or hypothetical use of their writing as training data. We interviewed 33 writers with variation across genre, method of publishing, degree of professionalization, and attitudes toward and engagement with LLMs. We report on core principles that writers express (support of the creative chain, respect for writers and writing, and the human element of creativity) and how these principles can be at odds with their realistic expectations of the world (a lack of control, industry-scale impacts, and interpretation of scale). Collectively these findings demonstrate that writers have a nuanced understanding of LLMs and are more concerned with power imbalances than the technology itself. © 2025 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).
