Learning to represent and simulate the dynamics of physical systems is a crucial yet challenging task. Existing equivariant Graph Neural Network (GNN) based methods have encapsulated the symmetry of physics, e.g., translations, rotations, etc, leading to better generalization ability. Nevertheless, their frame-to-frame formulation of the task overlooks the non-Markov property mainly incurred by unobserved dynamics in the environment. In this paper, we reformulate dynamics simulation as a spatio-temporal prediction task, by employing the trajectory in the past period to recover the Non-Markovian interactions. We propose Equivariant Spatio-Temporal Attentive Graph Networks (ESTAG), an equivariant version of spatio-temporal GNNs, to fulfill our purpose. At its core, we design a novel Equivariant Discrete Fourier Transform (EDFT) to extract periodic patterns from the history frames, and then construct an Equivariant Spatial Module (ESM) to accomplish spatial message passing, and an Equivariant Temporal Module (ETM) with the forward attention and equivariant pooling mechanisms to aggregate temporal message. We evaluate our model on three real datasets corresponding to the molecular-, protein- and macro-level. Working with different data depending on the appearance and content of the object. Formation of types of objects and content of processes within the framework of human activity. Based on this, the control mechanism is also different. Management effects in the learning system are understood as the transfer of knowledge in the subject area to the student using the methods and tools formed by the teacher in the educational environment, taking into account all the factors generated in this process. The control system in this view is a simple system with a nonlinear feedback section. It combines complexes consisting of technical, software, telecommunications and methodological tools used in the educational process. They can be used to form alternative solutions not only by delivering parts of the training materials, but also by collecting and processing the information needed to manage the learning process. The training method is chosen according to the requirements of the learning environment and depends on the topic. If the chosen method is accepted, the training part is provided, which is fixed (question-answer or in another form), which makes it possible to work independently. © 2021 IEEE.

The image CropTool allows users to crop images present on Wikimedia Commons without leaving the Wikimedia family of sites within a web environment. We implemented the same workflow for videos with the VideoCutTool. Previously, a video on Wikimedia Commons had to be downloaded, changed, and later re-uploaded to Commons. The previous process took a significant amount of time and requires the use of outside software, while the VideoCutTool allows authorized users to work up-to 10x faster. This paper talks about the features of VideoCutTool and its implementation. The tool is currently live on https://***/video-cut-tool/ and published under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 licence. © 2020 IEEE.

The paper examines an approach to arrange marine autonomous surface ships (both with and without crew) traffic surveillance illustrated with the Amur Bay and the Golden Horn Bay water area of the city of Vladivostok. The approach involves real-time application of a computer alliance based on General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) and Global Positioning System (GPS) satellite navigation technologies. The research presents the diagram of the system to observe autonomous surface ships located in the coastal area, as well as the assessment algorithm of the current navigation. Machine learning methods applied for analyzing the obtained information contribute to the fast and quite accurate review of the surface navigation, as well as hazard evaluation of vehicles caught in the area of heading in a sea autonomous surface vessel assessment.

This research full paper describes the augmented reality (AR) application AR-Classroom that combines a physical and virtual environment to teach 3D geometric rotations in an engaging and simplified manner. The AR-Classroom contains a virtual workshop where users can perform rotations by manipulating the application's X, Y, and Z-axis sliders to rotate a virtual LEGO model and a physical workshop where users perform rotations using a physical LEGO model. Guided by previous findings and an iterative approach to usability, the present usability study focused on assessing the usability of the AR-Classroom in its most recent version using a new physical LEGO model (i.e., airplane) and reflecting on how discoverability and usability can be assessed using different types of user experience measures and qualitative analysis. Participants were 22 undergraduate students who completed a pre-test with demographic information, watched a video on geometric transformations, and were randomly assigned to interact with either workshop. While interacting with the AR app, participants were instructed to provide feedback and a single ease-of-use question score. Participants then completed a post-test with two measures of usability. Descriptive statistics of the UX measures were explored, and a thematic analysis was conducted to identify and code themes in human-computer interaction. Findings suggest that the AR-Classroom has reached satisfactory usability, and users can navigate the app's features effectively. Discussion includes insight into which aspects of the app need improvement, how to promote self-directed support in the app, the development of future app efficacy experiments, and how to evaluate the usability of AR technology for learning.

Screening the nonlinear optical properties of reference esters

In this investigation we report results on the linear and nonlinear optical properties such as the dipole moment, polarizability, total first hyperpolarizability βtot, electric field-induced second harmonic generation β//, hyper-Rayleigh scattering first hyperpolarizability βHRS, the depolarization ratio DR, and the mean second hyperpolarizability γ of eight esters using density functional theory at the B3LYP, CAM-B3LYP, PBE0, M06, and M06-2X functionals. Moderate total first hyperpolarizability βtot up to 269.09, 165.21, and 122.87 a.u. has been obtained for the methyl salicylate, ethyl benzoate and butyl acetate, respectively. The βtot values of the methyl salicylate are nearly six times higher than those reported for the urea. An inverse relationship was achieved between the second-order molecular hyperpolarizability βtot and the band gap Eg and between the βHRS and β//. Strategies to improve the nonlinear optical activity of these esters are outlined. This quantum chemical exploration of some esters with moderate to high hyperpolarizabilities will provide more insights into exploring novel nonlinear optical materials and progressing in technologies that rely on manipulating and controlling light for various purposes, such as optical signal processing, photonic and photorefractive devices. © 2025 Elsevier B.V.

Training sophisticated machine learning models usually requires many training samples. Especially in healthcare settings these samples can be very expensive, meaning that one institution alone usually does not have enough. Merging privacy-sensitive data from different sources is usually restricted by data security and data protection measures. This can lead to approaches that reduce data quality by putting noise onto the variables (e.g., in Ε-differential privacy) or omitting certain values (e.g., for k-anonymity). Other measures based on cryptographic methods can lead to very time-consuming computations, which is especially problematic for larger multi-omics data. We address this problem by introducing ESCAPED, which stands for Efficient SeCure And PrivatE Dot product framework. ESCAPED enables the computation of the dot product of vectors from multiple sources on a third-party, which later trains kernel-based machine learning algorithms, while neither sacrificing privacy nor adding noise. We have evaluated our framework on drug resistance prediction for HIV-infected people and multi-omics dimensionality reduction and clustering problems in precision medicine. In terms of execution time, our framework significantly outperforms the best-fitting existing approaches without sacrificing the performance of the algorithm. Even though we only present the benefit for kernel-based algorithms, our framework can open up new research opportunities for further machine learning models that require the dot product of vectors from multiple sources. We consider the number of the 6-regular partitions of n, b6(n), and give infinite families of congruences modulo 3 (in arithmetic progression) for b6(n). We also consider the number of the partitions of n into distinct parts not congruent to ±2 modulo 6, Q2(n), and investigate connections between b6(n) and Q2(n) providing new combinatorial interpretations for these partition functions. Emotionally Enriched Feedback via Generative AI

This study investigates the impact of emotionally enriched AI feedback on student engagement and emotional responses in higher education. Leveraging the Control-Value Theory of Achievement Emotions, we conducted a randomized controlled experiment involving 425 participants where the experimental group received AI feedback enhanced with motivational elements, while the control group received neutral feedback. Our findings reveal that emotionally enriched feedback is perceived as more beneficial and helps reduce negative emotions, particularly anger, towards receiving feedback. However, it had no significant impact on the level of engagement with feedback or the quality of student work. These results suggest that incorporating emotional elements into AI-driven feedback can positively influence student perceptions and emotional well-being, without compromising work quality. Our study contributes to the growing body of research on AI in education by highlighting the importance of emotional considerations in educational technology design. © 2024, CC BY-NC-SA.
