E-learning approaches are one of the most important learning platforms for the learner through electronic *** study techniques are useful for other groups of learners such as the crowd,pedestrian,sports,transports,communication,emergency services,management systems and education sectors.E-learning is still a challenging domain for researchers and developers to find new trends and advanced tools and *** of them are currently working on this domain to fulfill the requirements of industry and the *** this paper,we proposed a method for pedestrian behavior mining of aerial data,using deep flow feature,graph mining technique,and convocational neural *** input data,the state-of-the-art crowd activity University of Minnesota(UMN)dataset is adopted,which contains the aerial indoor and outdoor view of the pedestrian,for simplification of extra information and computational cost reduction the pre-processing is *** flow features are extracted to find more accurate ***,to deal with repetition in features data and features mining the graph mining algorithm is applied,while Convolution Neural Network(CNN)is applied for pedestrian behavior *** proposed method shows 84.50%of mean accuracy and a 15.50%of error ***,the achieved results show more accuracy as compared to state-ofthe-art classification algorithms such as decision tree,artificial neural network(ANN).

An Efficient Character-Level Adversarial Attack Inspired by Textual Variations in Online Social Media Platforms

In recent years,the growing popularity of social media platforms has led to several interesting natural language processing(NLP)***,these social media-based NLP applications are subject to different types of adversarial attacks due to the vulnerabilities of machine learning(ML)and NLP *** work presents a new low-level adversarial attack recipe inspired by textual variations in online social media *** variations are generated to convey the message using out-of-vocabulary words based on visual and phonetic similarities of characters and words in the shortest possible *** intuition of the proposed scheme is to generate adversarial examples influenced by human cognition in text generation on social media platforms while preserving human robustness in text understanding with the fewest possible *** intentional textual variations introduced by users in online communication motivate us to replicate such trends in attacking text to see the effects of such widely used textual variations on the deep learning *** this work,the four most commonly used textual variations are chosen to generate adversarial ***,this article introduced a word importance ranking-based beam search algorithm as a searching method for the best possible perturbation *** effectiveness of the proposed adversarial attacks has been demonstrated on four benchmark datasets in an extensive experimental setup.

Log-based anomaly detection is an essential task in maintaining software reliability. Existing log-based anomaly detection approaches often consist of three key phases: log parsing, event embedding, and model construction. Event embedding efficiently extracts semantic information from log events and produces vector representations of log events. However, existing event embedding methods suffer from two key problems. First, semantic noises are buried in log events leading to inevitable gaps between the obtained semantics from log events and their essential meanings. Second, there exists a gap between general semantic embedding and the specific embedding requirement of anomaly detection tasks. To mitigate these problems and improve the quality of representations of log events, we propose a novel anomaly detection approach named LLMeLog. It leverages the capabilities of large language models (LLMs) to enrich the contents of log events with in-context learning techniques. Then it utilizes the enriched log events to fine-Tune a pre-Trained BERT model. At last, it trains a transformer-based anomaly detection model with the event representations produced by the pre-Trained BERT model. Evaluation results on three public log datasets show that LLMeLog achieves the best performance across all datasets, boasting F1-scores exceeding 99%. Besides, when using only 10% of labeled data as training data, our approach can still achieve over 90% F1-scores. © 2024 IEEE.

Code reviews are an integral part of software development and have been recognized as a crucial practice for minimizing bugs and favouring higher code quality. They serve as an important checkpoint before committing code and play an essential role in knowledge transfer between developers. However, code reviews can be time-consuming and can stale the development of large software projects. In a recent study, Guo et al. assessed how ChatGPT3.5 can help the code review process. They evaluated the effectiveness of ChatGPT in automating the code refinement tasks, where developers recommend small changes in the submitted code. While Guo et al.'s study showed promising results, proprietary models like ChatGPT pose risks to data privacy and incur extra costs for software projects. In this study, we explore alternatives to ChatGPT in code refinement tasks by including two open-source, smaller-scale large language models: CodeLlama and Llama 2 (7B parameters). Our results show that, if properly tuned, the Llama models, particularly CodeLlama, can achieve reasonable performance, often comparable to ChatGPT in auto-mated code refinement. However, not all code refinement tasks are equally successful: tasks that require changing existing code (e.g., refactoring) are more manageable for models to automate than tasks that demand new code. Our study highlights the potential of open-source models for code refinement, offering cost-effective, privacy-conscious solutions for real-world software development.

Fake news continues to proliferate, posing an increasing threat to public discourse. The paper proposes a framework of a Mixture of Experts, Sentiment Analysis, and Sarcasm Detection experts for improved fake news detection. This approach captures the emotional cues in the text through a Sentiment Analysis expert, which is based on bidirectional encoder representations from Transformers (BERT) models with sentiment vectors generated using SentiWordNet and Integrated Gradients. It combines a sarcasm detection expert based on BERT, recognizing sarcasm and its type to help classify fake news. By fusing these experts through a Mixture of Experts gateway, subtle linguistic cues often found in fake news are more effectively analyzed, leading to improved accuracy in detecting misinformation. Experimental results are presented as 96% for the Sarcasm expert with the BERT base model and 83% for the Sentiment Analysis expert with the distilled version of the BERT (DistilBERT) base model, proving the effectiveness of the proposed approach in beating traditional methods. © 2024 IEEE.

This study addresses the pressing need for computer systems to interpret digital media images with a level of sophistication comparable to human visual perception. By leveraging Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), we introduce two innovative architectures tailored to distinct datasets: the MNIST handwritten digit dataset and the Fashion MNIST dataset. Unlike traditional machine learning methods such as Support Vector Machines (SVM) and Random Forests, our customized CNN models remarkably enhance image attribute comprehension and recognition accuracy. Specifically, the model developed for the MNIST dataset achieved an unprecedented accuracy of 98.71% without any bias, while the Fashion MNIST model reached 91.39%, marking significant advancements over conventional algorithms without any bias. This research showcases the superior efficiency of CNNs in processing and understanding digital images. It underscores the potential of deep learning technologies in bridging the gap between computational systems and human-like visual recognition. Through meticulous experimentation and analysis, we illustrate how deep CNNs require less preparatory work than other image-processing algorithms, setting a new benchmark in computer vision. © 2024 IEEE.

Considering the fact that the test case runs abnormally and the test case execution fails during the development and debugging of the 5G terminal protocol conformance test system. Here useful approach is implemented by embedding data copy and storage module in the system, which completes the encapsulation, copy and storage of massive data generated during the operation of the system, so that equipment developers can correctly locate the errors in the system according to the data, and repair the system loopholes to ensure the stability and accuracy of the system. © 2024 IEEE.

Training-free open-vocabulary semantic segmentation aims to explore the potential of frozen vision-language models (VLM) for segmentation tasks. Recent works reform the inference process of CLIP and utilize the features from the final layer to reconstruct dense representations for segmentation, demonstrating promising performance. However, the final layer tends to prioritize global components over local representations, leading to suboptimal robustness and effectiveness of existing methods. In this paper, we propose CLIPSeg, a novel training-free framework that fully exploits the diverse knowledge across layers in CLIP for dense predictions. Our study unveils two key discoveries: Firstly, the features in the middle layers exhibit high locality awareness and feature coherence compared to the final layer, based on which we propose the coherence enhanced residual attention module that generates semantic-aware attention. Secondly, despite not being directly aligned with the text, the deep layers capture valid local semantics that complement those in the final layer. Leveraging this insight, we introduce the deep semantic integration module to boost the patch semantics in the final block. Experiments conducted on 9 segmentation benchmarks with various CLIP models demonstrate that CLIPSeg consistently outperforms all training-free methods by substantial margins, e.g., a 7.8% improvement in average mIoU for CLIP with a ViT-L backbone, and competes with learning-based counterparts in generalizing to novel concepts in an efficient way. In this research work,an efficient sign language recognition tool for e-learning has been proposed with a new type of feature set based on angle and *** feature set has the ability to increase the overall performance of machine learning algorithms in an efficient *** hand gesture recognition based on these features has been implemented for usage in *** feature set used hand landmarks,which were generated using media-pipe(MediaPipe)and open computer vision(openCV)on each frame of the incoming *** overall algorithm has been tested on two well-known ASLalphabet(American Sign Language)and ISL-HS(Irish Sign Language)sign language *** machine learning classifiers including random forest,decision tree,and naïve Bayesian have been used to classify hand gestures using this unique feature set and their respective results have been *** the random forest classifier performed better,it has been selected as the base classifier for the proposed *** showed 96.7%accuracy with ISL-HS and 93.7%accuracy with ASL-alphabet dataset using the extracted features.

Robotic Process Automation (RPA) uses software to mimic human actions in performing repetitive, time-consuming tasks, enabling organizations to strategically reallocate their workforce towards more value-driven activities. RPA can be used to build new intelligent systems that combine business with Artificial Intelligence (AI). However, despite its widespread adoption, RPA lacks standardization and a theoretical foundation, giving rise to misconception. For example, it has caused confusion between RPA and the established field of Business Process Automation (BPA), which has prevented organizations from properly using RPA in new intelligent systems. In this paper, we address the gap by proposing a basic meta-model for conceptualizing processes in RPA. Our research involves identifying key characteristics of processes suitable for RPA, deriving fundamental concepts of processes in RPA, and articulating the interrelations between them. Built upon such a conceptual foundation, we conduct a comparative analysis between RPA and BPA, clarifying the differences between the two. We further demonstrate the practical applicability of our proposed basic meta-model by identifying an instantiation of the meta-model manifested in three mainstream RPA software products, respectively. Our research contributes to laying the conceptual foundations of RPA and facilitating its standardization. © 2024 IEEE.
