Accurate sales forecasting serves as a critical foundation for informed business decision-making and numerous methodologies have been advanced by scholars predominantly rely on complete datasets, however, in practice, uncontrollable variables often result in the presence of missing data, diminishing the applicability of established techniques, so the sales forecasting research based on missing data is of great significance. Some researchers have resorted to employing deletion or interpolation techniques to pre-process incomplete data before conducting sales forecasts, but such completion methods tend to introduce distributional biases, subsequently leading to forecast inaccuracies. In light of these challenges, this study introduces a novel computational framework combining Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), Self-Attention, and Sequence-to-Sequence (Seq2Seq) models, where global features are first extracted via the synergistic application of CNN and Self-Attention mechanisms, then the extracted features are seamlessly integrated with the original dataset, supplanting conventional interpolation strategies, and finally the amalgamated data are inputted into the Seq2Seq model for sales prediction. The proposed methodology is empirically evaluated using sales data from a real-world company, demonstrating commendable predictive performance and underscoring the efficacy of the proposed approach in enabling accurate sales forecasts within the context of missing data scenarios. © 2024 IEEE.

Federated learning (FL) enables cooperative computation between multiple participants while protecting user privacy. Currently, FL algorithms assume that all participants are trustworthy and their systems are secure. However, the following problems arise in real-world scenarios: 1) Malicious clients disrupt FL through model poisoning and data poisoning attacks. Although some research has proposed secure aggregation methods to solve this problem, most methods have limitations. 2) The current method cannot fairly evaluate client contribution in some scenarios. Some clients exhibit free-rider behavior, seeking to cheat the reward system and manipulate global models. Evaluating client contribution and distributing rewards also present challenges. To address these challenges, we design a trustworthy federated framework to ensure secure computing throughout the federated task process. First, we propose a method of detecting malicious models to guarantee secure model aggregation. Then, we propose a fair method of assessing contribution to identify client-side free-riding behavior. Finally, we implement a computation process based on blockchain and smart contracts to guarantee the trustworthiness and fairness of federated tasks. To validate the performance of our framework, we simulate different types of client attacks and contribution evaluation scenarios on several open-source datasets. The experiments show that our framework ensures the credibility of federated tasks and achieves a fair evaluation of client contributions. © 2020 IEEE.

In recent years, the proliferation of deep learning (DL) techniques has given rise to a significant challenge in the form of deepfake videos, posing a grave threat to the authenticity of media content. With the rapid advancement of DL technology, the creation of convincingly realistic deepfake videos has become increasingly prevalent, raising serious concerns about the potential misuse of such content. Deepfakes have the potential to undermine trust in visual media, with implications for fields as diverse as journalism, entertainment, and security. This study presents an innovative solution by harnessing blockchain-based federated learning (FL) to address this issue, focusing on preserving data source anonymity. The approach combines the strengths of SegCaps and convolutional neural network (CNN) methods for improved image feature extraction, followed by capsule network (CN) training to enhance generalization. A novel data normalization technique is introduced to tackle data heterogeneity stemming from diverse global data sources. Moreover, transfer learning (TL) and preprocessing methods are deployed to elevate DL performance. These efforts culminate in collaborative global model training zfacilitated by blockchain and FL while maintaining the utmost confidentiality of data sources. The effectiveness of our methodology is rigorously tested and validated through extensive experiments. These experiments reveal a substantial improvement in accuracy, with an impressive average increase of 6.6% compared to six benchmark models. Furthermore, our approach demonstrates a 5.1% enhancement in the area under the curve (AUC) metric, underscoring its ability to outperform existing detection methods. These results substantiate the effectiveness of our proposed solution in countering the proliferation of deepfake content. In conclusion, our innovative approach represents a promising avenue for advancing deepfake detection. By leveraging existing data resources and the power of FL

Bangladesh has a large population, which is causing the delivery system to grow up, day by day. Therefore, several companies that provide these delivery services usually referred to as 'Currier Service', are growing gradually. In this paper, we focus on the top delivery service companies in Bangladesh. We analyze customer sentiment based on reviews and comments collected from their social media pages. We collected data of customers' comments from the verified social media pages of Sundorban Currier Services, Redx Currier Services, and Pathao Delivery System. We used a combination of Natural Language Processing and machine learning models to categorize Bangla sentiment reviews based on N-gram features. We used the Unigram, Bigram, and Trigram methods to identify the number of negative and positive reviews on real-life social media platforms and to predict whether new reviews were negative or positive. We have found that the Bigram feature is the best for this analysis because it has the highest accuracy of 90.72%. Using the Bangla NLP approach, the machine learning models are categorized in negative and positive reviews with the sentiment analysis method. © 2024 IEEE.

Cloud computing, as a cutting-edge computing paradigm, offers substantial data processing and storage capabilities. In a heterogeneous cloud environment, the diversity among cloud platforms results in varying task execution times, posing challenges in minimizing workflow makespan under budget constraints. On this basis, a novel meta-heuristic optimization algorithm, named snake optimizer (SO), is proposed for workflow scheduling in the cloud. Then, a negative offset mechanism is designed to dynamically guide the offset of individual positions during population update to prevent falling into local optimums, thereby optimizing the search for feasible solutions and improving the success rate. Finally, using the negative offset mechanism, a snake optimization budget-aware scheduling algorithm (NO-SO) is developed to schedule budget-constrained workflows in heterogeneous cloud computing environments and minimize the makespan. A series of comparative experiments conducted on real-world scientific workflows demonstrates that the NO-SO algorithm enhances the success rate in finding a feasible solution by 38.89% and 34.45% compared with the advanced MG-PRO algorithm and the original SO algorithm, respectively. Moreover, it achieves an average reduction in makespan of 30.30% and 32.19%. © 2024 IEEE.

AI-generated content impersonating human writing is an issue that has gained attention as AI spreads its wings. This particular study serves as a comparison between the existing Logistic Regression and Feedforward Neural Networks (FNNs) by employing sentence-BERT-appended models and RoBERTa in the determination of authenticity in a given text. A dataset that was balanced between human-written and AI-generated texts was utilized. Techniques like tokenization and normalization were first used, followed by feature extraction using transformer-based models. Cross-validation and confusion matrix analysis that used measures such as accuracy, precision, recall, F1 score, and ROC AUC were included to guarantee the models' robustness. The hybrid RoBERTa-FNN model that was deposed challengers was the most outstanding model in respect of precision and recall, and the highest accuracy (99.95%) was obtained as mentioned in the data. The improved performance serves as a proof of how effectively RoBERTa uses its embeddings to represent context on the fine-grained level required for this kind of text classification. This work is a stepping stone to the creation of strong AI text detection systems, besides our advancements to the knowledge of models and embedding performance with respect to text classification. The results lay emphasis on the selection of model configuration and the embedding technique, as they are the key factors in achieving the best results in practical applications. © 2024 IEEE.

This study aims to revolutionize software defect prediction by leveraging deep learning (DL) techniques, specifically focusing on Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and Stack Sparse Autoencoders (SSAE). The research involves training these models on datasets from the NASA Metrics Data Program, using metrics such as accuracy, precision, detection rate, and True Negative Rate (TNR) to evaluate their performance. The proposed methodology includes normalization of data, application of neural network architectures, and extensive experimentation with varying parameters. Results demonstrate that CNN outperforms SSAE, achieving a higher accuracy range of 0.84 to 0.93 compared to SSAE's 0.80 to 0.90, particularly excelling on the PC1 dataset with an accuracy of 0.93. Both models, however, show strong capabilities in predicting software defects, with CNN consistently delivering better performance across diverse datasets. The study concludes that DL models, especially CNN, significantly enhance the efficiency and accuracy of software defect prediction, suggesting future research to explore additional DL techniques and larger datasets for further advancements in software quality assessment. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, a color image encryption scheme based on 4D hyperchaos system and RSA algorithm is proposed. Firstly, RSA algorithm is used to generate the initial value of 4D hyperchaotic system, and the key stream is iteratively generated. Then, the color image is divided into RGB three channels. In order to change the position of image pixels, Arnold scrambling is performed on the image. Finally, simultaneous scrambling and diffusion algorithms are used to encrypt the preprocessed images for a second time. Experimental results show that the encryption scheme proposed in this paper is effective. Compared with the existing algorithms, this encryption scheme improves the encryption efficiency, has strong anti-aggression and robustness. © 2023 IEEE.
