Crop disease control is crucial for food security since plant illnesses diminish agricultural production. Crop productivity and quality depend on leaf diseases like tomatoes. Early plant disease identification utilizing computer vision and artificial intelligence can lessen disease severity and overcome the limitations of continuous human monitoring. Automatic Early detection and alert systems reduce disease and boost agricultural productivity by classifying tomato diseases from tomato leaf images using Deep Neural Network Models. Our study examined leaf photos to classify tomato diseases and healthy plants using AlexNet, ResNet-9, VGG-19, and a modified CNN model for tomato plant disease diagnosis using deep neural network architectures. The proposed CNN analyses images to identify edges, colours, and textures. The suggested model can recognize healthy and diseased tomato leaves with 98% accuracy, making it a valuable crop management tool that promotes sustainable agriculture and global food security. © 2024 IEEE.

The limited autonomy of flight has long been considered a significant constraint in drone systems. In the context of drone inspections of power lines, this study focuses on a drone equipped with a coil designed for autonomous battery charging. Positioned atop the drone is a charging coil, and on the upper surface, there is an upward-facing camera with a restricted field-of-view (FOV), serving the crucial role of aligning the drone with power lines. This research introduces a wireless power transfer strategy to facilitate the self-charging process of the drone while maintaining its position beneath power lines. To enable the drone's autonomous approach to power lines, a method is devised to guide the drone from below. As the drone approaches the power lines, it monitors the current induced by these lines and gradually adjusts its altitude until a sufficiently high induced current is achieved. The proposed approach ensures safety, as the drone avoids direct contact with high-voltage power lines, setting it apart from other existing methods that require such contact. To the best of our knowledge, this study offers a novel approach to precisely controlling drone movements, and establishing reliable wireless power transfer from power lines. The effectiveness of the developed wireless transfer strategy has been verified through MATLAB simulations. © 2024 IEEE.

Keyphrase extraction aims to extract a set of keyphrases from the input document that highly summarizes the document. One of the issue in keyphrase extraction is how to extract representative keyphrases that is relevance and describe the information in the document. This study addresses pretrained language model (PLM) and topic-guided graph attention network (TgGAT) to extract a set of keyphrases from the input document. PLM can effectively capture knowledge from massive data and well perform on both language understanding and language generation tasks. BERT is one of PLM that designed to process bidirectionally, allowing BERT to understand word context based on the surrounding words. To enhance the keyphrase relevance, latent-dirichlet allocation used to learn the latent topic information and aiding the semantic understanding of the input document. For capturing semantic relationships between phrases in document based on their topics, this study used TgGAT. TgGAT models the anchoraware graph which organizes the initial anchor phrases. Experiment was conducted on a dataset containing 100 Indonesian accredited scientific article, Sinta 2 and Sinta 3, to evaluate the system' $s$ performance. The experimental results show a precision value of 0.058, a recall value of 0.070, and an F1-score of 0.062 for the five generated keywords across the entire tested dataset. Further in-depth analyses shows that pattern of phrases used has the important role in determining the representative phrases in input document. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper,the singularity-free predefined-time fuzzy adaptive tracking control problem is studied for non-strict feedback(NSF)nonlinear systems considering mismatched external *** innovative practical predefined-time stability(PPTS)criterion is proposed to provide the theoretical basis for subsequent control *** to the existing predefined-time stability(PTS)criterion,this criterion has a broader application range and can solve the control design issues of nonlinear systems with system *** logic systems(FLSs)are employed to identify unknown nonlinear *** on the backstepping control technology,a singularity-free predefined-time control(PTC)design method is proposed,in which the hyperbolic tangent function is utilized to avoid the singular problem,and the nature of fuzzy basis function is adopted to resolve the algebraic loop *** PPTS of the closed-loop NSF nonlinear system is proven with the Lyapunov theory and the proposed PPTS ***,the efficiency of the presented PTC design method is verified by several sets of simulations on a single link manipulator system.

Container based microservices have been widely applied to promote the cloud elasticity. The mainstream Docker containers are structured in layers, which are organized in stack with bottom-up dependency. To start a microservice, the required layers are pulled from a remote registry and stored on its host server, following the layer dependency order. This incurs long microservice startup time and hinders the performance efficiency. In this paper, we discover that, for the first time, the layer pulling order can be adjusted to accelerate the microservice startup. Specifically, we address the problem on microservice layer pulling orchestration for startup time minimization and prove it as NP-hard. We propose a Longest-chain based Out-of-order layer Pulling Orchestration (LOPO) strategy with low computational complexity and guaranteed approximation ratio. Through extensive real-world trace driven experiments, we verify the efficiency of our LOPO and demonstrate that it reduces the microservice startup time by 22.71% on average in comparison with state-of-the-art solutions. © 2023 IEEE.

Surrogate-assisted evolutionary algorithms (SAEAs) have demonstrated promising optimization performance in addressing expensive dynamic optimization problems or expensive multimodal optimization problems. However, none of existing SAEAs are designed specifically for tackling expensive dynamic multimodal optimization problems (EDMMOPs). Therefore, in this paper, a first SAEA for tackling EDMMOPs is proposed. First, a nearest density clustering is designed to divide the population into a number of subpopulations, enhancing the diversity of the population. Then, a surrogate-assisted evolutionary optimizer is developed to construct surrogate models for each subpopulation and evolve all solutions in subpopulations by means of the built surrogate models, accelerating the population's converge towards several optimal solutions rapidly. Finally, a transfer learning-based prediction is devised to generate initial samples for next environment by leveraging the stored training samples in the previous environments. To assess the performance of our proposed algorithm, a set of complex benchmark problems is adopted, and the experimental results confirm its superior performance over several competitive algorithms on most test cases. © 2024 IEEE.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is growing more popular with applications like healthcare services, traffic monitoring, video streaming, smart homes, etc. These applications produce an enormous amount of data, so a realistic option in this instance is to offload computational tasks to their proximity fog nodes (FNs) instead of the remote cloud. However, a negligent offloading strategy may cause anomalous computational traffic load at the FNs, causing congestion that may adversely affect the latency. However, the latency of task flows from IoT devices comprises communications latency at BS and computational latency at FNs. Therefore, designing offloading algorithms to distribute the computational load at FN evenly and efficiently utilize the FN resources is crucial. To solve this problem, we proposed LBA in a fog network with a binary offloading strategy using the matching theory-based approach. We utilize the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to generate the preference list. Furthermore, the binary offloading technique follows the deferred acceptance algorithm (DAA) to produce a stable assignment, and the complete offloading problem is modeled as a one-to-many matching game. Comprehensive simulations ensure that LBA can accomplish a better-balanced assignment for homogeneous and heterogeneous input concerning all the baseline algorithms. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper presents a hybrid BRKGA (Q-HBRKGA) that combines BRKGA with Q-learning and a Local Branching technique to solve the Knapsack Problem with Forfeits(KPF). The aim is to tackle this problem, a vari-ant of the 0-1 Knapsack Problem, where a penalty cost is imposed when both items of a forfeit pair are included in the solution. Notably, Q-HBRKGA achieves superior results compared to existing approaches, establishing a valid strategy for KPF problem-solving. Computational experiments, utilizing benchmark instances, demonstrate the efficacy of Q-HBRKGA by outperforming state-of-the-art methods documented in the literature. © 2024 IEEE.

With the extensive penetration of distributed renewable energy and self-interested prosumers,the emerging power market tends to enable user autonomy by bottom-up control and distributed *** paper is devoted to solving the specific problems of distributed energy management and autonomous bidding and peer-to-peer(P2P)energy sharing among prosumers.A novel cloud-edge-based We-Market is presented,where the prosumers,as edge nodes with independent control,balance the electricity cost and thermal comfort by formulating a dynamic household energy management system(HEMS).Meanwhile,the autonomous bidding is initiated by prosumers via the modified Stone-Geary utility *** the cloud center,a distributed convergence bidding(CB)algorithm based on consistency criterion is developed,which promotes faster and fairer bidding through the interactive iteration with the edge ***,the proposed scheme is built on top of the commercial cloud platform with sufficiently secure and scalable computing *** results show the effectiveness and practicability of the proposed We-Market,which achieves 15%cost reduction with shorter running *** analysis indicates better scalability,which is more suitable for largerscale We-Market implementation.
