The widespread impact of thyroid disease and its diagnosis is a challenging task for healthcare experts. The conventional technique for predicting such a vital disease is complex and time-consuming. A data-driven approach may offer predictive solutions, but it relies on all relevant attributes, which are computationally expensive. Hence, we propose a novel machine learning (ML) based disease prediction system that could potentially predict it by considering three crucial steps. First, to reduce the dimension of the dataset, three feature selection techniques were employed, including feature importance (FIS), information gain selections (IGS), and least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LAS). Moreover, recommended medical references were considered while developing a feature set having the identical attributes as high-risk factors (HRF). Second, the models, including the three stage hybrid classifier (3SHC) and the three stage hybrid artificial neural network (3SHANN), are used as classifiers on the training data set. Third, a local interpretable model-agnostic explanations (LIME) to the 3SHC with the HRF samples was applied to individually explain the predictions. Then, the overall behaviors of both gender and age categories were explored with the help of a partial dependence plot (PDP). Finally, the proposed system is validated with extensive experiments, where the 3SHC achieves an accuracy (ACC) of 99.29%, which can play a crucial role in preventing thyroid disease and alleviating stress in the healthcare sector. © 2020 IEEE.

In current years, part cloud computing systems have received huge adoption because of their capability to provide low latency and high bandwidth offerings to users. however, one of the primary challenges in these structures is green undertaking scheduling in the presence of dynamic and heterogeneous sources. To deal with this trouble, genetic set of rules (GA) optimization strategies were proposed as a potential solution. This approach utilizes genetic operators, which include mutation and crossover, to conform a populace of potential solutions and choose the best one. by way of considering various constraints and objectives, consisting of strength consumption and make span, the GA-primarily based project scheduling technique can efficaciously optimize useful resource allocation in area cloud computing structures, at the end improving their performance and resource utilization. © 2024 IEEE.

A crucial role in the BRT transportation system's planning, development, and operation is the prediction of passenger numbers. Using time-series data, it is necessary to develop careful prediction models, appropriate techniques, and an indepth understanding of the number of BRT Transjakarta passengers. A prediction model is sought based on comparing combined LSTM and BiLSTM experiments using three evaluation matrices and time. Historical data used from daily passenger data for 13 BRT Transjakarta corridors (1/01/2021-31/12/2023). The best prediction model was obtained from the BiLSTM-CNN combination with the lowest MSLE (0.0425), MAPE (0.1598), and SMAPE (15.9387) evaluation matrix values. However, it required a longer time (00:02:14). Predictions of passenger numbers on the 13 Transjakarta BRT corridors for the next 12 months can be made simultaneously by predicting fluctuations occurring simultaneously. The strongest positive correlation is in corridor 9-6, while the strongest negative correlation is in corridor 12-5. The prediction results must be understood by stakeholders, managers, and technopreneurs to develop and support appropriate strategies to increase the number of BRT passengers. © 2024 IEEE.

Collaborative Service Provisioning for UAV-Assisted Mobile Edge Computing

Unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)-assisted mobile edge computing(MEC), as a way of coping with delaysensitive and computing-intensive tasks, is considered to be a key technology to solving the challenges of terrestrial MEC networks. In this work, we study the problem of collaborative service provisioning(CSP) for UAV-assisted MEC. Specifically, taking into account the task latency and other resource constraints, this paper investigates how to minimize the total energy consumption of all terrestrial user equipments, by jointly optimizing computing resource allocation, task offloading, UAV trajectory, and service placement. The CSP problem is a non-convex mixed integer nonlinear programming problem, owing to the complex coupling of mixed integral variables and non-convexity of CSP. To address the CSP problem, this paper proposes an alternating optimization-based solution with the convergence guarantee as follows. We iteratively deal with the joint service placement and task offloading subproblem, and UAV movement trajectory subproblem, by branch and bound and successive convex approximation, respectively,while the closed form of the optimal computation resource allocation can be efficiently obtained. Extensive simulations validate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm compared to three baselines.

The local resolving dominating set studied in this paper is a notion that combines two concepts in graph theory, the local metric dimension and dominations in graphs. Let G and H be connected graphs of orders n and m, respectively;and x a vertex in H hereafter referred to as a linkage vertex. The comb product of G and H denoted by G.H, is a graph obtained by taking one copy of G and n copies of H and attaching the i-th copy of H at the vertex x to the i-th vertex of G. In this paper, we determine the local resolving dominating set of the comb products G. Sn with two different linkage vertices, G. Kn, G. Km,n and G. Metallised polypropylene film capacitors(MPPFCs)are widely used in power electronics and are generally degraded by elevated *** work aims to determine the relationships between the structural changes of MPPFC and the microstructural variations of the PP film during the thermal ageing of MPPFC at 100℃ for 38 *** capacitance of MPPFC has a slight decrease during thermal ***,the breakdown voltage of the MPPFC decreases by 39.4%by the *** partial discharge(PD)number of MPPFC increases linearly with ageing *** tear-down analysis of the MPPFC reveals that the molecular structure of the PP film has not been altered but has led to molecular chain scission and the generation of some polar fragments/***,the relative permittivity of the PP films rises as the ageing time ***,thermal ageing causes the conversion of aluminum to alumina in the metallised electrode,which is hydrophilic for polar groups and leads to an adhesion effect between the metallised electrodes and the PP *** angle measurements prove that the surface hydrophilicity of the PP sample increased after thermal ***,the PD/breakdown voltage in the MPPFC increases/decreases due to the uneven adhesion of the metallised PP film.

The lungs are one of the organs of the body that are responsible for the human respiratory process and are very susceptible to dangerous diseases. For this reason, early detection and diagnosis of lung organs is needed, one of which is through examination of Chest X-Ray (CXR) images. Examination of the results of CXR images is still done manually by doctors and radiologists, this requires time and high accuracy. To facilitate the examination, it is necessary to image quality enhancement in order to get better image quality results so as to produce an accurate diagnosis. The initial stage in this research is to apply the contour improvement technique to the image using Morphology Opening, and followed by noise reduction using Median Filter and Gaussian filter. The results of the two methods of noise reduction are compared with the results of image quality in order to find out the best method that can be applied. The implementation of image quality enhancement results was measured quantitatively using Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR), Mean Square Error (MSE), and Structural Similarity Index Metrics (SSIM). In the Morphology Opening and Median Filter methods, the values obtained are 39.187, 22.252, and 0.952, respectively. Meanwhile, the Morphology Opening and Gaussian Filter methods obtained values of 38.717, 23.917 and 0.956. Based on these results, it can be concluded that both methods are able to improve image quality well. © 2022 IEEE.

Software testing is an essential part of the Software Development Lifecycle because of its importance both before and after code is written. As such, it necessitates the use of well-developed, well-executed processes and procedures. This article attempts to discuss both existing testing techniques and possible enhancements to those procedures in the sake of higher quality assurance. Extensive testing, including validation and verification, is required to guarantee that the software satisfies all clients' requirements. As a result, software development processes and testing strategies are made. However, software testing strategies provide a well-thought-out sequence of actions that should reliably yield results, as opposed to software testing approaches, which focus on how to test a specific feature or function. In this analysis, the advantages and disadvantages of various software testing strategies are explored. Furthermore, it specifies the basic life cycles that must be observed throughout quality assurance testing. © 2022 IEEE.

A construction investigation and configuration process that is imposed on the development of a software item is known as the software development life cycle. Testing is now an important and crucial phase in the software development life cycle in every organisation. Fundamentally important to the software development cycle is testing. Testing should begin early in the software development process to prevent potential bugs, reduce costs, and aid in determining requirements. Software testing is done with the intention of strengthening software and preventing problems. The testing phase of the software development life cycle is critical and vital. However, the manner in which it is finished varies from one association to the next. Software testing has evolved into a component of development, and it is wiser to start testing in the early phases in order to avoid problems by fixing bugs at the end. Additionally, the purpose of testing in the software development life cycle is to improve steadfast quality, execution, and other crucial components that may be characterized as SRS. The SDLC consist an explanatory plan that described to create, schedule, and maintain specific software. The organizational framework that explains the tasks carried out at each level of the software development procedure. © 2022 IEEE.

Recently,computer aided diagnosis(CAD)model becomes an effective tool for decision making in healthcare *** advances in computer vision and artificial intelligence(AI)techniques have resulted in the effective design of CAD models,which enables to detection of the existence of diseases using various imaging *** cancer(OC)has commonly occurred in head and neck *** identification of OC enables to improve survival rate and reduce mortality ***,the design of CAD model for OC detection and classification becomes ***,this study introduces a novel computer Aided Diagnosis for OC using Sailfish Optimization with Fusion based Classification(CADOC-SFOFC)*** proposed CADOC-SFOFC model determines the existence of OC on the medical *** accomplish this,a fusion based feature extraction process is carried out by the use of VGGNet-16 and Residual Network(ResNet)***,feature vectors are fused and passed into the extreme learning machine(ELM)model for classification ***,SFO algorithm is utilized for effective parameter selection of the ELM model,consequently resulting in enhanced *** experimental analysis of the CADOC-SFOFC model was tested on Kaggle dataset and the results reported the betterment of the CADOC-SFOFC model over the compared methods with maximum accuracy of 98.11%.Therefore,the CADOC-SFOFC model has maximum potential as an inexpensive and non-invasive tool which supports screening process and enhances the detection efficiency.
