In terms of security and privacy,mobile ad-hoc network(MANET)continues to be in demand for additional debate and *** more MANET applications become data-oriented,implementing a secure and reliable data transfer protocol becomes a major concern in the ***,MANET’s lack of infrastructure,unpredictable topology,and restricted resources,as well as the lack of a previously permitted trust relationship among connected nodes,contribute to the attack detection burden.A novel detection approach is presented in this paper to classify passive and active black-hole *** proposed approach is based on the dipper throated optimization(DTO)algorithm,which presents a plausible path out of multiple paths for statistics transmission to boost MANETs’quality of service.A group of selected packet features will then be weighed by the DTO-based multi-layer perceptron(DTO-MLP),and these features are collected from nodes using the Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchical(LEACH)clustering *** is a powerful classifier and the DTO weight optimization method has a significant impact on improving the classification process by strengthening the weights of key features while suppressing the weights ofminor *** hybridmethod is primarily designed to combat active black-hole *** the LEACH clustering phase,however,can also detect passive black-hole *** effect of mobility variation on detection error and routing overhead is explored and evaluated using the suggested *** diverse mobility situations,the results demonstrate up to 97%detection accuracy and faster execution ***,the suggested approach uses an adjustable threshold value to make a correct conclusion regarding whether a node is malicious or benign.

Machine learning models have been successfully applied in numerous fields. Training a model is the most important aspect of machine learning for its successful application for the problem. To improve the training of a machine learning model thereby improve the performance, the selection of features and setting optimal parameters is crucial. Mainly two kinds of parameters are required to deal with, namely internal and external parameters. Internal parameters are model parameters and configurable such as weights of neural networks and their estimation can be done using data set. The hyperparameters such as learning rate, size of layers, number of layers, loss function etc, are external parameters and its values cannot be determined using the data set and it is not the part of the model. Its estimation can be done by the domain expert or using some trial-and-error techniques until it achieves some acceptable values. However, these techniques are highly time-consuming and cannot ensure the optimal values for these hyperparameters. In recent years different metaheuristic techniques have been applied to determine the optimal values of hyper parameters for machine learning models. In this paper we have conducted a brief comparative study of a few popular metaheuristic approaches applied for the hyperparameter optimization for various machine learning models. In this paper various evaluation measures have been considered for comparative analysis of metaheuristic approaches for hyperparameter optimization for deep learning model. © 2023 IEEE.

Rainfall plays a significant role in managing the water level in the *** unpredictable amount of rainfall due to the climate change can cause either overflow or dry in the *** individuals,especially those in the agricultural sector,rely on rain *** rainfall is challenging because of the changing nature of the *** area of Jimma in southwest Oromia,Ethiopia is the subject of this research,which aims to develop a rainfall forecasting *** estimate Jimma's daily rainfall,we propose a novel approach based on optimizing the parameters of long short-term memory(LSTM)using Al-Biruni earth radius(BER)optimization algorithm for boosting the fore-casting accuracy.N ash-Sutcliffe model eficiency(NSE),mean square error(MSE),root MSE(RMSE),mean absolute error(MAE),and R2 were all used in the conducted experiments to assess the proposed approach,with final scores of(0.61),(430.81),(19.12),and(11.09),***,we compared the proposed model to current machine-learning regression models;such as non-optimized LSTM,bidirectional LSTM(BiLSTM),gated recurrent unit(GRU),and convolutional LSTM(ConvLSTM).It was found that the proposed approach achieved the lowest RMSE of(19.12).In addition,the experimental results show that the proposed model has R-with a value outperforming the other models,which confirms the superiority of the proposed *** the other hand,a statistical analysis is performed to measure the significance and stability of the proposed approach and the recorded results proved the expected perfomance.

Museum ecosystems need digital transformation to provide value added to museums. This study discusses the digital museum ecosystem conceptual model based on artificial intelligence (AI) technology and the Internet of Things (IoT). The new conceptual model integrates three elements of the museum ecosystem, people, collections & infrastructure, and museum services collaborating and communicating to achieve outputs in supporting the achievement of museum organizational goals through IoT and AI-based digital technology. The conceptual model describes various forms of implementing IoT and AI in the museum ecosystem for museum management along with the value added or results generated for museum management. The development of this ecosystem conceptual model into a physical museum has an impact on optimizing museum performance by providing value added in the form of convenience and prosperity for users and various museum stakeholders, especially in Society 5.0. © 2023 IEEE.

Otitis media represents inflammation or infection of the middle ear, often stemming from colds, sore throats, or respiratory infections. To address diagnostic challenges, this study introduces the EARnet-AR method, a novel advanced approach for automatically classifying otoscope tympanic membrane images. We employed 1100 otoscopic augmented images were utilized to conduct this research. To enhance the clarity and accuracy of otoscopic images, our research incorporated median filtering, an effective noise reduction technique, and gamma correction to adjust the image's luminance, ensuring a more consistent visual representation. In our initial evaluations, we tested the capabilities of five renowned pre-trained models using a comprehensive set of evaluation metrics, including accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, precision, f1-score, FPR, and FNR. The confusion matrices also detailed the model's capabilities in classifying each specific ear condition. Moreover, our proposed novel model EARnet-AR, enriched with Attention and RNN features, surpasses the other models, achieving training, testing and validation accuracies of 97.5%, 96.0%, and 96.5%, respectively. With such precise diagnostic tools, medical professionals can potentially achieve more timely and accurate treatments, enhancing patient care and outcomes in otitis media cases. © 2023 IEEE.

Container based microservices have been widely applied to promote the cloud elasticity. The mainstream Docker containers are structured in layers, which are organized in stack with bottom-up dependency. To start a microservice, the required layers are pulled from a remote registry and stored on its host server, following the layer dependency order. This incurs long microservice startup time and hinders the performance efficiency. In this paper, we discover that, for the first time, the layer pulling order can be adjusted to accelerate the microservice startup. Specifically, we address the problem on microservice layer pulling orchestration for startup time minimization and prove it as NP-hard. We propose a Longest-chain based Out-of-order layer Pulling Orchestration (LOPO) strategy with low computational complexity and guaranteed approximation ratio. Through extensive real-world trace driven experiments, we verify the efficiency of our LOPO and demonstrate that it reduces the microservice startup time by 22.71% on average in comparison with state-of-the-art solutions. © 2023 IEEE.

Psychological disorders, such as anxiety, bipolar disorder, panic disorder, stress, depression, and schizophrenia, are increasingly prevalent worldwide. Among these conditions, depression is particularly notable as one of the most common and debilitating neuropsychiatric disorders. Individuals with depression may be at a higher risk of developing oronary Artery Disease (CAD). Depression can contribute to poor lifestyle choices, such as unhealthy eating, lack of exercise, and smoking, which are risk factors for CAD. The emotional stress and anxiety associated with depression can strain the heart and exacerbate CAD symptoms. The relationship is not one-sided. CAD itself can be a significant source of emotional distress, leading to symptoms of depression and anxiety in affected individuals. Managing both conditions in tandem can be complicated. Treating CAD may involve medications, lifestyle modifications, and potentially surgical interventions. Meanwhile, depression often requires therapy, counseling, and medication. Coordinating care and addressing both conditions simultaneously is crucial. In our study, we investigated the molecular connections between CAD and Depression using GSE98793 and GSE20681 microarray datasets. After preprocessing, we identified key hub genes, including CCT2, SVIL, REPS2, ASPH, and UBC, in the shared ProteinProtein Interaction network. KEGG pathways linked these DEGs to colorectal and cancer pathways. Our next steps involve exploring microRNAs, TFs, and GO analysis. These findings offer promising leads for potential therapies, uniting CAD and Depression under a common molecular framework, advancing our understanding of these conditions. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper outlines the merging of Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) with Open Radio Access Network (O-RAN) and space communication systems. The usage of AI drives decision-making in critical domains of telecommunications and space explorations requires transparency and interpretability. However, traditional AI models often operate as 'black boxes,' making it difficult to understand their decision-making processes. This lack of explainability poses significant risks, including misinterpretation of signals, undetected anomalies, and erroneous decision-making, which can compromise the integrity of communication systems. Specifically, the challenges include accurately distinguishing between legitimate signals and attacks in anti-jamming scenarios, understanding the behaviour of complex models like LSTM in traffic prediction, and ensuring the reliability of telemetry data despite errors and noise. Integration of XAI techniques within O-RAN architecture and space communication protocols can ensure trust, reliability and safety in AI-enabled systems. This paper investigates the opportunities and challenges of incorporating XAI in O-RAN and space communications. Additionally, it presents the implications of XAI, the need for interpretability in autonomous spacecraft operations, anomaly detection and decision support for mission-critical tasks. By bridging the gap in AI transparency and advanced communication technology, this paper aims to present a detailed analysis of implemented AI and Machine Learning (ML) in the telecommunication domain. It also presents the challenges currently faced in the intersection of XAI and communication. Use cases of XAI in the domain of Open Radio Access Network and Space Communications in light of LIME and SHAP techniques were presented to give a hypothetical modelling for future experimentation to provide local and global interpretation and explanations for the currently employed AI/ML models in the respective domains.
