A novel myocarditis detection combining deep reinforcement learning and an improved differential evolution algorithm

Myocarditis is a serious cardiovascular ailment that can lead to severe consequences if not promptly *** is triggered by viral infections and presents symptoms such as chest pain and heart *** detection is crucial for successful treatment,and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging(CMR)is a valuable tool for identifying this ***,the detection of myocarditis using CMR images can be challenging due to low contrast,variable noise,and the presence of multiple high CMR slices per *** overcome these challenges,the approach proposed incorporates advanced techniques such as convolutional neural networks(CNNs),an improved differential evolution(DE)algorithm for pre-training,and a reinforcement learning(RL)-based model for *** this method presented a significant challenge due to the imbalanced classification of the Z-Alizadeh Sani myocarditis dataset from Omid Hospital in *** address this,the training process is framed as a sequential decision-making process,where the agent receives higher rewards/penalties for correctly/incorrectly classifying the minority/majority ***,the authors suggest an enhanced DE algorithm to initiate the backpropagation(BP)process,overcoming the initialisation sensitivity issue of gradient-based methods like back-propagation during the training *** effectiveness of the proposed model in diagnosing myocarditis is demonstrated through experimental results based on standard performance ***,this method shows promise in expediting the triage of CMR images for automatic screening,facilitating early detection and successful treatment of myocarditis.

Improvements of classification performance for short text have become increasingly popular due to explosive growth of social media and other online communication platforms. As a result, recent research works attempt to improve the classification performances over a selected baseline. Unfortunately, latest research works related to short text classification performance improvements with Neural networks [CNN, LSTM,RNN] and, Embeddings as feature representation haven't use common baseline to compare the performance improvements with their experiments. Therefore, it's hard to compare one work with the other. Hence this research work was carried out to identify the appropriate n-grams, feature representation, preprocessing technique and the machine learning algorithm which suits for the given short text type dataset which can be used as a baseline to compare latest experimented results. We used seven short text types datasets which are publicly available. We compared different n-grams [1-gram,2-gram,3-gram etc], feature representation techniques such as [TF] term frequency and [TF-IDF]term frequency with inverse document frequency techniques as well as the impact of using stop words. Moreover, we compared the classification performances among different traditional machine learning based algorithms. Our conclusions are, combining 1-gram with 2-gram word features gave high performances compared to other n-grams. [2] out of two feature representations techniques TF perform well compared to TF IDF. [3] further, removal of stop word support to improve the classification performances when feature representation type is TF.[4] Moreover, out of traditional machine learning algorithms, SVM gave good results. Finding of our research work can be used to compute baseline classification performances with future research work. © 2023 IEEE.

BERT [Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers] was the first type of neural model which was used hugely with several downstream tasks specially with the generated embedding representation for text classification. But with the existing literature different layer combination was not tested with concatenation as well as mean averaging techniques to represent the features of a text record for short text classification performances. Moreover, it was not properly evaluated with different machine learning algorithms with short text. Therefore, this research work focused on using seven short text type datasets with BERT embedding to identify the best embedding representation and the best machine learning algorithm. Based on conducted experiment, usage of all layers with concatenation techniques was identified as the best embedding representation and bagging as well as support vector machine was identified as the best machine learning algorithm for short text classification. Performance improvements with bagging was more than 6-8% over the other algorithm and concatenation of all layers gave around 5-6 % performance improvements over the other techniques. © 2023 IEEE.

Collection of sensor nodes and base station called as Wireless Sensor Networks. While, communicating with other nodes within network this type of network uses huge amount of energy. And, node has limited life time due to battery power. For efficiently utilizing these nodes energy and power, clustering was considered as a best approach. In proposed paper, we work on heterogeneous node, in such environment nodes are differ by their energy level, power, computation, communication etc. The protocol proposed for Energy Efficient Hybrid Routing in different energy levels using fuzzy logic provides three different network for three different initial energy level of nodes such that. 3J,. 4J and. 5J under same area (500∗500) m2 in which super node region uses multipath routing and clustering approach uses for transmitting packet/ data to base station and normal type nodes will uses single path routing transmitting packet/ data to Base station. The proposed protocol discussed different energy levels for finding best initial energy value of node in network and improved throughput, stability, lifetime of network on. 4J energy level as compare to. 3J and. 5J. To optimize the cluster formation we used predetermined technique i.e. inverted binary tree. This technique helps in balancing the load of super nodes region. The proposed model simulated in MATLAB, result shows better performance at 0.4J initial energy. © 2023 IEEE.

Lung cancer is a leading cause of global mortality *** detection of pulmonary tumors can significantly enhance the survival rate of ***,various computer-Aided Diagnostic(CAD)methods have been developed to enhance the detection of pulmonary nodules with high ***,the existing method-ologies cannot obtain a high level of specificity and *** present study introduces a novel model for Lung Cancer Segmentation and Classification(LCSC),which incorporates two improved architectures,namely the improved U-Net architecture and the improved AlexNet *** LCSC model comprises two distinct *** first stage involves the utilization of an improved U-Net architecture to segment candidate nodules extracted from the lung ***,an improved AlexNet architecture is employed to classify lung *** the first stage,the proposed model demonstrates a dice accuracy of 0.855,a precision of 0.933,and a recall of 0.789 for the segmentation of candidate *** suggested improved AlexNet architecture attains 97.06%accuracy,a true positive rate of 96.36%,a true negative rate of 97.77%,a positive predictive value of 97.74%,and a negative predictive value of 96.41%for classifying pulmonary cancer as either benign or *** proposed LCSC model is tested and evaluated employing the publically available dataset furnished by the Lung Image Database Consortium and Image Database Resource Initiative(LIDC-IDRI).This proposed technique exhibits remarkable performance compared to the existing methods by using various evaluation parameters.

Learning behavior in legged robots presents a significant challenge due to its inherent instability and complex constraints. Recent research has proposed the use of a large language model (LLM) to generate reward functions in reinforcement learning, thereby replacing the need for manually designed rewards by experts. However, this approach, which relies on textual descriptions to define learning objectives, fails to achieve controllable and precise behavior learning with clear directionality. In this paper, we introduce a new video2reward method, which directly generates reward functions from videos depicting the behaviors to be mimicked and learned. Specifically, we first process videos containing the target behaviors, converting the motion information of individuals in the videos into keypoint trajectories represented as coordinates through a video2text transforming module. These trajectories are then fed into an LLM to generate the reward function, which in turn is used to train the policy. To enhance the quality of the reward function, we develop a video-assisted iterative reward refinement scheme that visually assesses the learned behaviors and provides textual feedback to the LLM. This feedback guides the LLM to continually refine the reward function, ultimately facilitating more efficient behavior learning. Experimental results on tasks involving bipedal and quadrupedal robot motion control demonstrate that our method surpasses the performance of state-of-the-art LLM-based reward generation methods by over 37.6% in terms of human normalized score. More importantly, by switching video inputs, we find our method can rapidly learn diverse motion behaviors such as walking and running. © 2024 The Authors.

The edge-brain framework (EBF) is a S/W framework that allows manufacturers to easily integrate AI-empowered robot work skills into a legacy production system in an edge computing environment with minimal time and effort. For EBF-based smart manufacturing, is a skill-based task-level robot programming environment that plays a key role. In this paper, we present the grasp pose selection skill as a case study to demonstrate the proposed skill-based edge-brain smart manufacturing. The proposed grasp-pose selection skill determines the optimal 6D grasp pose associated with the target object in a cluttered workspace by taking into consideration grasp stability, object manipulability, and collision-free path efficacy. To achieve a real-time operation of optimal grasp pose selection skill, deep learning networks are designed to compute, in particular, the manipulability and collision-free path efficacy indices. Experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed real-time grasp pose selection skill developed for EBF-based smart manufacturing. © 2024 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V.

Peer-to-Peer(P2P)electricity trading is a significant research area that offers maximum fulfilment for both prosumer and *** also decreases the quantity of line loss incurred in Smart Grid(SG).But,uncertainities in demand and supply of the electricity might lead to instability in P2P market for both prosumer and *** recent times,numerous Machine Learning(ML)-enabled load predictive techniques have been developed,while most of the existing studies did not consider its implicit features,optimal parameter selection,and prediction *** order to overcome fulfill this research gap,the current research paper presents a new Multi-Objective Grasshopper Optimisation Algorithm(MOGOA)with Deep Extreme Learning Machine(DELM)-based short-term load predictive technique i.e.,MOGOA-DELM model for P2P Energy Trading(ET)in *** proposed MOGOA-DELM model involves four distinct stages of operations namely,data cleaning,Feature Selection(FS),prediction,and parameter *** addition,MOGOA-based FS technique is utilized in the selection of optimum subset of ***,DELM-based predictive model is also applied in forecasting the load *** proposed MOGOA model is also applied in FS and the selection of optimalDELM parameters to improve the predictive *** inspect the effectual outcome of the proposed MOGOA-DELM model,a series of simulations was performed using UK Smart Meter *** the experimentation procedure,the proposed model achieved the highest accuracy of 85.80%and the results established the superiority of the proposed model in predicting the testing data.

The Snake game, a classic in the gaming world, gains new dimensions with the Snake AI competition, where two players controlled by AI algorithms can now compete simultaneously in the same game session. This competition holds significance in advancing our understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms. In the 2020 and 2021 Snake AI competitions, popular algorithms, using graph-based search or heuristic strategies, demonstrate competitive performance, such as the A* algorithm, Monte Carlo Tree Search (MCTS). Contrary to these heuristic approaches, the Rolling Horizon Co-evolution Algorithm (RHCA), characterised by its core principles of rolling horizon evaluation and co-evolution, maintains two populations, one for each player, to co-evolve with each other without reliance on heuristics. RHCA has been verified its effectiveness in a two-player spaceship game. In this paper, we extend the RHCA application to the two-player Snake AI game, comparing it with other state-of-the-art methods. Additionally, we introduce various obstacles to create different complex scenarios, ensuring a comprehensive analysis. Experimental results reveal RHCA’s superior and stable performance, especially in resource-constrained and complex scenarios. Furthermore, an analysis of RHCA’s behaviours across maps with diverse obstacle scenarios highlights its ability to make intelligent decisions in competing with state-of-the-art methods. © IFIP International Federation for Information Processing 2024.

Applications of internet-of-things(IoT)are increasingly being used in many facets of our daily life,which results in an enormous volume of *** computing and fog computing,two of the most common technologies used in IoT applications,have led to major security *** are on the rise as a result of the usage of these technologies since present security measures are *** artificial intelligence(AI)based security solutions,such as intrusion detection systems(IDS),have been proposed in recent *** technologies that require data preprocessing and machine learning algorithm-performance augmentation require the use of feature selection(FS)techniques to increase classification accuracy by minimizing the number of features *** the other hand,metaheuristic optimization algorithms have been widely used in feature selection in recent *** this paper,we proposed a hybrid optimization algorithm for feature selection in *** proposed algorithm is based on grey wolf(GW),and dipper throated optimization(DTO)algorithms and is referred to as *** proposed algorithm has a better balance between the exploration and exploitation steps of the optimization process and thus could achieve better *** the employed IoT-IDS dataset,the performance of the proposed GWDTO algorithm was assessed using a set of evaluation metrics and compared to other optimization approaches in 2678 CMC,2023,vol.74,no.2 the literature to validate its *** addition,a statistical analysis is performed to assess the stability and effectiveness of the proposed *** results confirmed the superiority of the proposed approach in boosting the classification accuracy of the intrusion in IoT-based networks.
