In this paper, we propose the basic framework of point- wise topological logic on completely distributive lattices and explore approximate reasoning in it. The logic of this paper is based on pointwise characterization, therefore the pointwise conception is pervasive. We explore approximate reasoning in abstract logical framework Fl on completely distributive lattice L. We propose the structure of point- wise topological logic F TL , the structure of matching function sigma. and the structure of matching neighborhood group. We investigate approximate reasoning in pointwise topological logic F TL with matching function sigma, develop pointwise topological algorithm of simple approximate reasoning, introduce the essential characteristics of this scheme.

Future air traffic is demanding innovative procedures and systems that take advance of new technologies capabilities. Especially significant are new procedures and systems for automating arrival air traffic operations in terminal areas. In this work, we present an air-air negotiation protocol to be used as a new component of the on board automation system for self-spacing flight operation for merging and in-trail separation in terminal area. Current works about such systems are centered on helping to the flight crew (FC) to maintain aircraft-aircraft in-trail separation. However it is necessary integrating in these systems new capabilities that allow decentralized flight procedures to achieve air-air agreements that provide local rearrangement of a predefined aircraft arrival sequence when operational circumstances makes it recommendable. The suggested air-air negotiation protocol can be considered as an extension of capabilities of the current aircraft separation assurance system (ASAS). It has been modeled under the agent-oriented programming paradigm and an ad-hoc multi-agent platform has been used for its implementation and preliminary evaluation.

We model the sum and product riddle in public announcement logic, which is interpreted on an epistemic Kripke model. The model is symbolically represented as a finite state program with n agents. A model checking method to the riddle is developed by using the BDD-based symbolic model checking algorithm for logic of knowledge we developed in [7]. The method is implemented by extending the model checker MCTK [7] and then the solution of the riddle is verified successfully.

In this paper we develop algorithms for generating random channel specifications of channel routing problem in VLSI design. A channel is a rectangular routing region containing two sets of fixed terminals on two of its opposite sides and the other two opposite sides (of the rectangle) are open ends, may or may not contain any terminal of a net but the terminal position is not fixed before a routing solution is computed. Most of the problems in two-, three-, and multi-layer channel routing are beyond polynomial time computable. Hence for each of these problems it is unlikely to design a polynomial time deterministic algorithm. Developing heuristic algorithm might be a probable way out that hopefully provides good solutions for most of the instances occur in practice. Novelty of a heuristic algorithm is judged better if it works for a variety of large number of randomly generated instances of the problem. In fact, convergence of results of a heuristic algorithm is well established when the algorithm of a problem is executed for a huge number of randomly generated similar instances and the final result is computed making an average on all of them.

Due to the opportunities provided by the Internet, people are taking advantage of e-learning courses and during the last few years enormous research efforts have been dedicated to the development of e-learning systems. So far, many e-learning systems are proposed and used practically. However, in these systems the e-learning completion rate is low. One of the reasons is the low study desire and motivation. In our previous work, we implemented a e-learning system that is able to increase the learning efficiency by stimulating learners motivation. In this work, we designed and implemented new functions to improve the system performance.

This article gives a capsule view of research on rough set theory and applications ongoing at universities and laboratories in China. Statistical summaries showing the growth in the research on rough set theory and application in China are included. We present in this paper a scheduling algorithm towards the service migration uncertainty that aims to enhance the service survivability in the server cluster system. Survivable scheduling algorithm is one of the important aspects of survivability study. This paper introduced the stochastic mechanism in the server cluster systems, which made it uncertain of the services migration among the servers, so as to increase the difficulty for the intruders penetrating the systems, and enhanced the system survivability. In this work, we introduced the layers of survivability study, illustrated the function of the survivable scheduling algorithm; then, analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of the exist scheduling algorithms; promoted a pseudo-random autonomous algorithm for service survivability scheduling, including generating the scheduling sequence and the Markov-based autonomous competition mechanism, the performance of the algorithm is investigated at last.

In this paper, we present a robust approach to digital watermarking embedding and retrieval for digital images. The affine-invariant point detector is used to extract feature regions of the given host image. Image normalization and dominant gradient orientation alignment are applied to these feature regions to achieve scaling and rotation invariance. Thereafter, watermarks are embedded in these feature regions. The advantage of this proposed approach is demonstrated by a large amount of experiments, which can against different attacks, such as common image processing, rotation, scaling, cropping, and several other affine transformations.

This research integrates Taguchi's parameter design method, back-propagation neural networks (BPNN), and Davidon-Fletcher-Powell (DFP) method to optimize the process parameter settings of plastic injection molding. Taguchi's parameter design method is used to arrange an orthogonal array experiment and to reduce the number of set-test cycles. Injection Time, Velocity Pressure Switch Position, Packing Pressure, and Injection Velocity are selected as process control parameters and product weight is selected as the single product quality. The experimental data of Taguchi's parameter design method are used for effectively training and testing BPNN. Then, BPNN is combined with DFP to search out the final optimal process parameter settings. Finally, a confirmation experiment is performed to confirm the effectiveness of the final optimal process parameter settings. The experimental results show that the proposed effective process parameter optimization approach can avoid shortcomings inherent in the application of trial-and-error processes or the conventional Taguchi parameter design method. Furthermore, the proposed approach can effectively assist engineers in determining optimal initial process parameter settings and achieving competitive advantages on product quality and costs.
