Chronic back pain can present a serious health concern, with symptoms that can significantly affect an individual's well-being, mobility, and overall quality of life over an extended period. While chronic back pain may manifest suddenly in some cases, it often develops gradually and persists for weeks, and in untreated cases, it can linger for years. Hence, the utilization of assistive devices such as wearable posture-monitoring vests can offer valuable assistance and guidance to users. This research paper is dedicated to the development of a system for detecting, diagnosing, and correcting poor posture, specifically leaning posture. The vest is designed to provide users with visual, auditory, and tactile cues to help them address this issue, thereby reducing the risk associated with leaning. Additionally, an integrated electrical box has been designed to consolidate all components directly onto the main board in a secure enclosure. This box also displays the daily count of instances where the user has leaned. This system is characterized by its electrical safety, portability, compactness, comfort, and affordability. A comprehensive analysis of the system's performance has been conducted with a meticulous evaluation of accuracy. Each component of the system has undergone successful testing, and the system as a whole is currently in the testing phase. The results of these tests have indicated a lack of faulty errors and have demonstrated outstanding accuracy and detection rates. Over 100 individuals of varying ages, genders, and BMI categories were involved in testing, with each person wearing the device for an average of six hours. The accuracy rate achieved was 98.85%, with an average of 54.35 instances of poor posture detected per participant. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper models a platooning system consisting of trucks and a third-party service provider (TPSP), which performs platoon coordination, distributes the platooning profit in platoons, and charges trucks in exchange for the services. Government subsidies used to incentivize platooning are also considered. We propose a pricing rule for the TPSP, which keeps part of the platooning profit including the subsidy each time a platoon is formed. In addition, a platoon coordination solution based on the distributed model predictive control (MPC) is proposed, in which the pricing rule under government subsidies is integrated. We perform a realistic simulation over the Swedish road network to evaluate the impact of the pricing rule and subsidies on the achieved profits and fuel savings. Our results show that subsidies are an effective mean to boost fuel savings from platooning. Moreover, the simulation study indicates that high pricing corresponds to a low platooning rate of the system, as trucks' incentives for platooning decrease. © 2023 The Authors. Owing to the major development of social media platforms, the usage of technological adaptation increases by means of editing software tools. Posting media in social communication environments has become one of our common daily routines. Before posting, various editing generators are used to manipulate pixel values, such as for enhancing brightness and contrast. Undoubtedly, this software helps bring posting media from ordinary to outstanding. But such a type of editing crosses the line in terms of creating fakes—anything that comes from anywhere and does not retain its originality anyway. It poses a series of issues in the process of multimedia forensics investigation and chain of custody. In order to restrict the attempts at deep faking and make the investigation hierarchy more effective, efficient, and reliable in the socio-cyber space (SCS), this paper presents a novel framework called DF-SCW. A digital forensics-enabled socio-cyber world with artificial intelligence (AI), especially deep neural networks (DNNs), for detecting and analyzing deep fake media investigations on social media platforms. It compares pixels with their neighboring values in the same media (such as images and videos) to identify information about the original one. There is a media flag designed to filter out malicious and dangerous attempts, like a powerful leader declaring war. Putting flags on such fakes helps digital investigators resist sharing the posts. In addition, the other prospect of this research is to make the digital forensics ecosystem more appropriate to take qualitative judgments in real-time while media is uploaded on social media platforms. The simulation of the proposed DF-SCW is tested on three different platforms, such as Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. Through the experiment, the DF-SCW outperformed in terms of detection, identification, and analysis of deepfake media by an increased rate of 3.77%. © 2024

The utilization of multi-agent systems has been increasingly prevalent across various sectors, owing to their notable efficacy in execution. However, a multitude of hazards exist that possess the capability to undermine the integrity of the agent and pose a threat to the overall security of the system. Therefore, it is crucial to carefully evaluate and address security vulnerabilities during the process of creating Multi-Agent systems (MAS). This survey assesses different models that aim to guarantee the security of Multi-Agent systems (MAS). These models were developed based on principles related to the agents' functionality and communication. This study offers a comprehensive examination and categorization of the prevailing threats targeting Multi-Agent systems (MASs). Following this, we conduct a comprehensive analysis and assessment of diverse security strategies described in scholarly sources, classifying them into prevention, detection, and resiliency approaches based on their established credibility and reliability. In conclusion, we offer a suggestion for the optimal security approach to address particular types of threats, considering the most recent breakthroughs in the field of study.

The rapid identification of key nodes in large-scale social networks is important for the guidance and control of public opinion. The model proposes a key node identification method that considers user attributes, behavioural attributes, historical text attributes, user expertise and rationality values. Compared with methods that only consider user attributes, behavioral attributes and historical text attributes, this method can identify key nodes more quickly. Limitations: This method cannot identify key nodes in the network in real time. © 2022 SPIE.

Increasing energy demands and the need for efficient management necessitate innovative solutions. This study introduces an integrated Demand Side Management (DSM) framework tailored for residential buildings within smart grid systems. The proposed methodology employs Earth Worm Optimization Algorithm (EWOA) and Virulence Optimization Algorithm (VOA) to optimize scheduling for household appliance using integration of Renewable Energy Storage (RES) and Renewable Energy Resources (RERs). Real-Time Electricity Scheduling (RTES) is implemented using IoT technologies to enable adaptive energy management. This system demonstrates significant performance improvements, achieving a 76.19% reduction in the Peak-to-Average Ratio (PAR) using VOA and a 73.8% reduction with EWOA when RES is included. Comparative analyses highlight substantial cost reductions, enhanced grid stability, and improved energy efficiency. This work not only showcases the novelty of integrating advanced optimization algorithms with IoT but also provides a robust approach to achieve sustainable and cost-effective energy management.

The attenuation and scattering of light in underwater environments often lead to degradation issues such as image blurring, color cast, and low contrast. Due to the lack of high-quality paired datasets, the performance of deep learning-based methods is limited. To address these challenges, we propose an improved U-Net architecture based on semi-supervised learning for underwater image enhancement. First, a multi-scale input-level fusion module is proposed to allow our network to fully exploit global spatial information from input images, natural light fields, and depth maps. Second, a multi-branch hybrid convolutional attention residual block is designed to improve the network's feature extraction capability and focus on important spatial and channel information in underwater images. Finally, a semi-supervised learning approach is used to fully exploit unpaired datasets, improving the generalization ability of the network model. Through qualitative and quantitative analysis, the proposed network achieves satisfactory image enhancement results in various underwater scenarios.

In this study, a multilayered botnet detection system for network-based botnet detection based on ANFIS is suggested. Two layers make up the suggested system, one of which is utilized for feature extraction and the other for botnet detection. Using mean and variance, the feature extraction layer pulls features from network traffic data. The botnet detection layer employs ANFIS to identify botnet activity based on the collected features. Using the CICIDS2017 dataset, the suggested system's performance is assessed. The experimental findings demonstrate that the suggested algorithm works better than other current botnet detection techniques regarding accuracy, precision, and recall. The proposed system obtained 99.83% accuracy, 99.75% precision, and 99.91 % recall. The proposed multilayered ANFIS-based botnet detection system offers an excellent way to identify botnet activity in a network. It can be utilized in various network security applications, such as threat intelligence, malware detection, and intrusion detection.

Umm al Qura University is one of the largest universities in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, having more than one hundred thousand students. The university is situated in a suburb area of Makkah city; around 10 km away from the residential areas, and because of its geographic location, most of the people who are either students, professors, staff, workers, or even visitors enter the university compound daily for different purposes; like studying, teaching, working or perhaps just for a tour, and they all get into the university using vehicles. So, because of the vast area of the university which embeds tens of faculty buildings, scientific and technical research centers, and many other facilities, many students and visitors cannot reach their desired locations at an appropriate time. The problem gets doubled in the first few days of the university startup, and that's because of freshmen students' enrollment. To solve this problem, an online navigation system is built to help people find their destinations quickly. The platform acts as an outdoor kind of navigation system that shows the routes for buildings based on the user's search input or selection, then relatively the system will show the exact vehicle routes to the predefined appropriate parking lot, with a pedestrian path stretching to the destination and some statistical information about the buildings along with some panoramic photos of the classes are shown on the right side of the map.

Accurate weather forecasts are important for disaster prevention, agricultural planning, and water resource management. Traditional numerical weather prediction (NWP) methods offer physically interpretable high-accuracy predictions but are computationally expensive and fail to fully leverage rapidly growing historical data. In recent years, deep learning methods have made significant progress in weather forecasting, but challenges remain, such as balancing global and regional high-resolution forecasts, excessive smoothing in extreme event predictions, and insufficient dynamic system modeling. To address these issues, this paper proposes a global-regional nested weather forecasting framework based on graph neural networks (GNNs). By combining a dynamic system perspective with multi-grid theory, we construct a multi-scale graph structure and densify the target region to capture local high-frequency features. We introduce an adaptive information propagation mechanism, using dynamic gating units to deeply integrate node and edge features for more accurate extreme event forecasting. For high-resolution regional forecasts, we propose a neural nested grid method to mitigate boundary information loss. Experimental results show that the proposed method performs excellently across global to regional scales and short-term to long-term forecasts, especially in extreme event predictions (e.g., typhoons), significantly improving forecast accuracy.
