Every single day, users are increasing as the world has explored technology where data is producing more and more big data and cloud technologies are the reason behind the scene because big data and cloud computing are the booming pieces of knowledge currently with AI helpful for users and for other professional and practical purposes. Nowadays integration of technologies also been an emerging topic it helps in the reduction of disadvantages of particular technology to provide better solutions. This paper talks about what, and why big data and cloud technology in daily lives and where big data in cloud technology is used. This paper examines recently proposed frameworks/models where big data and cloud technologies are utilized together and reviewed in a detailed way from the year 2020 to 2023. What Advantages can be there in utilizing both big data and cloud together is also discussed. This study explains the most used big data analytical tools and widely used cloud platforms and performed a simple case study on two datasets (world data and disease symptoms dataset) to draw some insights into which Rapid Miner and Power BI are used where RF and Gradient Boosted Trees got more accuracy than other classification algorithms with 0.7 accuracy while using disease symptoms dataset and some visualizations are drawn with use of world data. © 2024 IEEE.

The Google Play platform boasts a total of 2,597,819 applications. A pivotal gauge of an application's success rests on its practical utility in daily life, coupled with its demonstrated strong performance metrics. There are several performance metrics to evaluate the performance of an application, such as RAM usage, CPU utilization, and their impact on battery life. Additionally, it is crucial to consider the User Interface (UI) factor, which serves as the primary connection between users and applications. Beyond its role as a bridge between users and applications, the UI can also significantly affect the performance of an application, as rendering a UI often takes a considerable amount of time. Various approaches can be employed to enhance the rendering time of a UI, one of which involves the use of design patterns like Model-View-Controller (MVC) and Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM), which effectively separate the business logic from the UI layer. This research study compares the performance of these two design patterns in the context of UI rendering time. The findings of this study confirm that MVVM outperforms MVC significantly in rendering UI components more rapidly. This superiority is attributed to MVVM's inherent ability to isolate business logic, ultimately reducing rendering delays. Furthermore, MVVM's prominent data binding feature further strengthens its efficiency in terms of UI rendering time. © 2023 ACM.

This paper presents a large gathering dataset of images extracted from publicly filmed videos by 24 cameras installed on the premises of Masjid Al-Nabvi,Madinah,Saudi *** dataset consists of raw and processed images reflecting a highly challenging and unconstraint *** methodology for building the dataset consists of four core phases;that include acquisition of videos,extraction of frames,localization of face regions,and cropping and resizing of detected face *** raw images in the dataset consist of a total of 4613 frames obtained fromvideo *** processed images in the dataset consist of the face regions of 250 persons extracted from raw data images to ensure the authenticity of the presented *** dataset further consists of 8 images corresponding to each of the 250 subjects(persons)for a total of 2000 *** portrays a highly unconstrained and challenging environment with human faces of varying sizes and pixel quality(resolution).Since the face regions in video sequences are severely degraded due to various unavoidable factors,it can be used as a benchmark to test and evaluate face detection and recognition algorithms for research *** have also gathered and displayed records of the presence of subjects who appear in presented frames;in a temporal *** can also be used as a temporal benchmark for tracking,finding persons,activity monitoring,and crowd counting in large crowd scenarios.

In the current industrial environment, which is shifting towards an event-based control prone paradigm, sampling strategies in use must be revisited. Both temporal and magnitude dependent sampling strategies have been demonstrated to be suitable for control systems, reporting benefits in different categories. However, these sampling strategies also present some drawbacks, discussed in this contribution. Aiming to address some of these drawbacks, a new sampling strategy is proposed gathering characteristics of both predecessors. © 2024 IEEE.

One of the objectives of event-based control is the reduction of generated events to perform an appropriate process control. Among the event generation techniques used to this end, those quantifying the error signal can be found more frequently for its simplicity of implementation. However, they entail a drawback in the form of trade-off between event generation and performance. Aiming to reduce the number of events, specifically in the transient response, without degrading the performance, an error dependent sampling scheme is studied in this work. © 2024 IEEE.

Fine classification of rice paddy using multitemporal compact polarimetric SAR C band data based on machine learning methods

Rice is an important food crop for human *** distinguishing different varieties and sowing methods of rice on a large scale can provide more accurate information for rice growth monitoring,yield estimation,and phenological monitoring,which has significance for the development of modern *** polarimetric(CP)synthetic aperture radar(SAR)provides multichannel information and shows great potential for rice monitoring and ***,the use of machine learning methods to build classification models is a controversial *** this paper,the advantages of CP SAR data,the powerful learning ability of machine learning,and the important factors of the rice growth cycle were taken into account to achieve high-precision and fine classification of rice ***,CP SAR data were simulated by using the seven temporal RADARSAT-2 C-band data ***,20-two CP SAR parameters were extracted from each of the seven temporal CP SAR data *** addition,we fully considered the change degree of CP SAR parameters on a time scale(ΔCP_(DoY)).Six machine learning methods were employed to carry out the fine classification of rice *** results show that the classification methods of machine learning based on multitemporal CP SAR data can obtain better results in the fine classification of rice paddies by considering the parameters ofΔCP_(DoY).The overall accuracy is greater than 95.05%,and the Kappa coefficient is greater than *** them,the random forest(RF)and support vector machine(SVM)achieve the best results,with an overall accuracy reaching 97.32%and 97.37%,respectively,and Kappa coefficient values reaching 0.965 and 0.966,*** the two types of rice paddies,the average accuracy of the transplant hybrid(T-H)rice paddy is greater than 90.64%,and the highest accuracy is 95.95%.The average accuracy of direct-sown japonica(D-J)rice paddy is greater than 92.57%,and the highest accuracy is 96.13%.

This research highlights the importance of standards and interoperability in the IoT. An essential component of IoT ecosystems is interoperability, which refers to the ability for various systems and devices to converse and share data. Formats for data, methods of communication, and safeguards are all outlined by standards. Widespread adoption and scalability are made possible through interoperability and standards, which allow devices from many manufacturers to communicate with one another. This research investigates the alliances, regulatory authorities, and commercial associations that cooperate in the creation and advancement of open standards that can be embraced by other entities. The main objective of the research is to showcase the construction of an Internet of Things device capable of communicating with various embedded peripheral protocols utilizing Plug and Play (PnP) technology. Moreover, the research examines the impact of regulatory frameworks on the IoT ecosystem and their role in fostering interoperability. An IoT ecosystem necessitates a standardized and open environment to provide optimal performance in terms of connectivity, data exchange, and innovation. This research contributes to the progress of harmonizing and achieving interoperability among World Wide Web Things. © 2024 IEEE.

CRAFT: Criticality-Aware Fault-Tolerance Enhancement Techniques for Emerging Memories-Based Deep Neural Networks

Deep neural networks (DNNs) have emerged as the most effective programming paradigm for computer vision and natural language processing applications. With the rapid development of DNNs, efficient hardware architectures for deploying DNN-based applications on edge devices have been extensively studied. Emerging nonvolatile memories (NVMs), with their better scalability, nonvolatility, and good read performance, are found to be promising candidates for deploying DNNs. However, despite the promise, emerging NVMs often suffer from reliability issues, such as stuck-at faults, which decrease the chip yield/memory lifetime and severely impact the accuracy of DNNs. A stuck-at cell can be read but not reprogrammed, thus, stuck-at faults in NVMs may or may not result in errors depending on the data to be stored. By reducing the number of errors caused by stuck-at faults, the reliability of a DNN-based system can be enhanced. This article proposes CRAFT, i.e., criticality-aware fault-tolerance enhancement techniques to enhance the reliability of NVM-based DNNs in the presence of stuck-at faults. A data block remapping technique is used to reduce the impact of stuck-at faults on DNNs accuracy. Additionally, by performing bit-level criticality analysis on various DNNs, the critical-bit positions in network parameters that can significantly impact the accuracy are identified. Based on this analysis, we propose an encoding method which effectively swaps the critical bit positions with that of noncritical bits when more errors (due to stuck-at faults) are present in the critical bits. Experiments of CRAFT architecture with various DNN models indicate that the robustness of a DNN against stuck-at faults can be enhanced by up to 105 times on the CIFAR-10 dataset and up to 29 times on ImageNet dataset with only a minimal amount of storage overhead, i.e., 1.17%. In this note, we present the synthesis of secure-by-construction controllers that address safety and security properties simultaneously in cyber-physical systems. Our focus is on studying a specific security property called opacity, which characterizes the system's ability to maintain plausible deniability of its secret behavior in the presence of an intruder. These controllers are synthesized based on a concept of so-called (augmented) control barrier functions. We propose conditions that facilitate the construction of the desired (augmented) control barrier functions and their corresponding secure-by-construction controllers. To compute these functions, we propose an iterative scheme that leverages iterative sum-of-square programming techniques. This approach enables efficient computation of these functions, particularly for polynomial systems. Finally, we validate the effectiveness of our results through a case study of a vehicle. © 1963-2012 IEEE.

Selecting the most relevant subset of features from a dataset is a vital step in data mining and machine *** feature in a dataset has 2n possible subsets,making it challenging to select the optimum collection of features using typical *** a result,a new metaheuristicsbased feature selection method based on the dipper-throated and grey-wolf optimization(DTO-GW)algorithms has been developed in this *** can result when the selection of features is subject to metaheuristics,which can lead to a wide range of ***,we adopted hybrid optimization in our method of optimizing,which allowed us to better balance exploration and harvesting chores more *** propose utilizing the binary DTO-GW search approach we previously devised for selecting the optimal subset of *** the proposed method,the number of features selected is minimized,while classification accuracy is *** test the proposed method’s performance against eleven other state-of-theart approaches,eight datasets from the UCI repository were used,such as binary grey wolf search(bGWO),binary hybrid grey wolf,and particle swarm optimization(bGWO-PSO),bPSO,binary stochastic fractal search(bSFS),binary whale optimization algorithm(bWOA),binary modified grey wolf optimization(bMGWO),binary multiverse optimization(bMVO),binary bowerbird optimization(bSBO),binary hysteresis optimization(bHy),and binary hysteresis optimization(bHWO).The suggested method is superior 4532 CMC,2023,vol.74,no.2 and successful in handling the problem of feature selection,according to the results of the experiments.
