Arbitrary-scale super-resolution (ASSR) aims to learn a single model for image super-resolution at arbitrary magnifying scales. Existing ASSR networks typically comprise an off-the-shelf scale-agnostic feature extractor and an arbitrary scale upsampler. These feature extractors often use fixed network architectures to address different ASSR inference tasks, each of which is characterized by an input image and an upsampling scale. However, this overlooks the difficulty variance of super-resolution on different inference scenarios, where simple images or small SR scales could be resolved with less computational effort than difficult images or large SR scales. To tackle this difficulty variability, in this paper, we propose a Task-Aware Dynamic Transformer (TADT) as an input-adaptive feature extractor for efficient image ASSR. Our TADT consists of a multi-scale feature extraction backbone built upon groups of Multi-Scale Transformer Blocks (MSTBs) and a Task-Aware Routing Controller (TARC). The TARC predicts the inference paths within feature extraction backbone, specifically selecting MSTBs based on the input images and SR scales. The prediction of inference path is guided by a new loss function to trade-off the SR accuracy and efficiency. Experiments demonstrate that, when working with three popular arbitrary-scale upsamplers, our TADT achieves state-of-the-art ASSR performance when compared with mainstream feature extractors, but with relatively fewer computational costs. In this paper, an optimized mechanism for Semiconductor wafer fabrication (SWF) by integrating the Adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) with Simulated annealing (SA) algorithm is proposed. In this approach, aiming to solve the rush order problem which significantly affect the cycle time and impact the Work in process (WIP) of lots due to the high priority, we build an ANFIS based prediction model which will be embedded into releasing to forecast product codes and quantities of the contingent rush orders. Then a scheduler based on SA algorithm is constructed, the coding of which represents a combination of scheduling policies, including lot releasing policies, dispatching rules, batching rules and settingup rules. When the SA finished its optimization process, an optimal scheduling policy is produced. By using the proposed approach, we will find that the system can be optimized to a large extent and give a better performance.

In this study, we investigate the robust feedback stability problem for multiple-input-multiple-output linear time-invariant systems involving sectored-disk uncertainty, namely, dynamic uncertainty subject to simultaneous gain and phase constraints. This problem is thereby called a sectored-disk problem. Employing a frequency-wise analysis approach, we derive a fundamental static matrix problem that serves as a key component in addressing the feedback stability. The study of this matrix problem heavily relies on the Davis-Wielandt (DW) shells of matrices, providing a profound insight into matrices subjected to simultaneous gain and phase constraints. This understanding is pivotal for establishing a less conservative sufficient condition for the matrix sectored-disk problem, from which we formulate several robust feedback stability conditions against sectored-disk uncertainty. Finally, several conditions based on linear matrix inequalities are developed for efficient computation and verification of feedback robust stability against sectored-disk uncertainty. GLCONet: Learning Multi-source Perception Representation for Camouflaged Object Detection

Recently, biological perception has been a powerful tool for handling the camouflaged object detection (COD) task. However, most existing methods are heavily dependent on the local spatial information of diverse scales from convolutional operations to optimize initial features. A commonly neglected point in these methods is the long-range dependencies between feature pixels from different scale spaces that can help the model build a global structure of the object, inducing a more precise image representation. In this paper, we propose a novel Global-Local Collaborative Optimization Network, called GLCONet. Technically, we first design a collaborative optimization strategy from the perspective of multi-source perception to simultaneously model the local details and global long-range relationships, which can provide features with abundant discriminative information to boost the accuracy in detecting camouflaged objects. Furthermore, we introduce an adjacent reverse decoder that contains cross-layer aggregation and reverse optimization to integrate complementary information from different levels for generating high-quality representations. Extensive experiments demonstrate that the proposed GLCONet method with different backbones can effectively activate potentially significant pixels in an image, outperforming twenty state-of-the-art methods on three public COD datasets. Stationarity in time series is a key property for practical data analysis, inferences, and predictions particularly in biosciences. Stationarity can be either deterministic or stochastic. If a time series data is not stationary, it can be rendered stationary through detrending or differentiation techniques. Differentiation can be performed in either an integer or fractional form. This paper investigates non-stationarity in time series data, focusing specifically on stochastic trends characterised by a unit root. It hypothesises that fractional differentiation can enhance forecast accuracy for datasets with limited volume. For experiments, 24 series corresponding to weekly Malaria and Typhoid Fever from Adamawa Region (Cameroon) are analysed and forecasted. Each series comprises 156 observations covering January 2021 to December 2023. After collecting, checking and classifying the data, four forecasting models, Auto Regressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA), Fractional ARIMA (ARFIMA), Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), and the proposed Fractional Differencing and LSTM (FD-LSTM), are implemented. The models' performances are evaluated using Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), Mean Absolute Error (MAE), and Coefficient of determination (R2) metrics, which inform further analysis and recommendations. Results reveal that ARFIMA outperformed the ARIMA by 93% in training and 100% in testing. Similarly, FD-LSTM achieved a 100% improvement over LSTM in training and testing. These findings underscore the value of achieving stationarity through fractional differentiation, enhancing model performance and providing a robust framework for forecasting in datasets with limited observations. © 2025, CC BY.

Big data analytics in the manufacturing industry is mainly used to process massive data in various manufacturing activities. Today, many industrial companies are starting discussions on the importance of DSS (Decision Support systems) and its cloud processing capability. In recent years different approaches have been developed to provide appropriate solutions for big data and DSS. In this work, we will carry out detailed bibliographical research on the methods and applications of big data for decision making and provide a classification for them. Even if this bibliographic review does not call on all the studies carried out in this field, we believe that it can constitute a valuable source of information, particularly for practitioners in big data and Intelligent Decision-Making.

The Web applications often handle confidential data such as Internet account passwords, credit card numbers, and so on. These sensitive data are generally transmitted over the Internet and therefore, exposed to the public. Given that, there is a very high risk of unlawfully accessing these data by hackers and others, especially since web applications are becoming notoriously vulnerable and are the target of a majority of Internet-based attacks. This paper proposes an assessment of web scanners that used for detecting web applications security flaws. In particular, we're focusing on SQL injection vulnerability in web applications. © 2021 IEEE.

Towards Gradient Equalization and Feature Diversification for Long-Tailed Multi-Label Image Recognition

Multi-label image recognition with convolutional neural networks has achieved remarkable progress in the past few years. However, most existing multi-label image recognition methods suffer from the long-tailed data distribution problem, i.e., head categories occupy most training samples, while tailed classes have few samples. This work firstly studies the influence of long-tailed data distribution on existing multi-label image recognition methods. Based on this, two crucial issues of the existing methods are identified: 1) severe gradient imbalance between head and tailed categories, even though re-balancing strategies are adopted;2) the lack of diversity of tail category training samples. To tackle the first issue, this paper proposes a group sampling strategy to create group- wise balanced data distribution. Meanwhile, a dynamic gradient balancing loss is proposed to equalize the gradient for all categories. To tackle the second issue, this paper proposes a diversity enhancement module to fuse the information across all categories, preventing the network from overfitting tail classes. Furthermore, it also balances the gradient, promoting the discriminability of learned classifiers. Our method significantly outperforms the baseline method and achieves competitive performance with state-of-the-art methods on VOC-LT and COCO-LT datasets. Extensive ablation studies are conducted to verify the effectiveness of the essential proposals. © 1999-2012 IEEE.

LEARNING EFFICIENT POSITIONAL ENCODINGS WITH GRAPH NEURAL NETWORKS

Positional encodings (PEs) are essential for effective graph representation learning because they provide position awareness in inherently position-agnostic transformer architectures and increase the expressive capacity of Graph Neural Networks (GNNs). However, designing powerful and efficient PEs for graphs poses significant challenges due to the absence of canonical node ordering and the scale of the graph. In this work, we identify four key properties that graph PEs should satisfy: stability, expressive power, scalability, and genericness. We find that existing eigenvector-based PE methods often fall short of jointly satisfying these criteria. To address this gap, we introduce PEARL, a novel framework of learnable PEs for graphs. Our primary insight is that message-passing GNNs function as nonlinear mappings of eigenvectors, enabling the design of GNN architectures for generating powerful and efficient PEs. A crucial challenge lies in initializing node attributes in a manner that is both expressive and permutation equivariant. We tackle this by initializing GNNs with random node inputs or standard basis vectors, thereby unlocking the expressive power of message-passing operations, while employing statistical pooling functions to maintain permutation equivariance. Our analysis demonstrates that PEARL approximates equivariant functions of eigenvectors with linear complexity, while rigorously establishing its stability and high expressive power. Experimental evaluations show that PEARL outperforms lightweight versions of eigenvector-based PEs and achieves comparable performance to full eigenvector-based PEs, but with one or two orders of magnitude lower complexity. Attitude Takeover Control for Noncooperative Space Targets Based on Gaussian Processes with Online Model Learning

One major challenge for autonomous attitude takeover control for on-orbit servicing of spacecraft is that an accurate dynamic motion model of the combined vehicles is highly nonlinear, complex and often costly to identify online, which makes traditional model-based control impractical for this task. To address this issue, a recursive online sparse Gaussian Process (GP)-based learning strategy for attitude takeover control of noncooperative targets with maneuverability is proposed, where the unknown dynamics are online compensated based on the learnt GP model in a semi-feedforward manner. The method enables the continuous use of on-orbit data to successively improve the learnt model during online operation and has reduced computational load compared to standard GP regression. Next to the GP-based feedforward, a feedback controller is proposed that varies its gains based on the predicted model confidence, ensuring robustness of the overall scheme. Moreover, rigorous theoretical proofs of Lyapunov stability and boundedness guarantees of the proposed method-driven closed-loop system are provided in the probabilistic sense. A simulation study based on a high-fidelity simulator is used to show the effectiveness of the proposed strategy and demonstrate its high performance. © 2023, CC BY-NC-SA.
