Artificial intelligence (AI) refers to human-like intelligence exhibited by computers, robots, or other machines. In popular use, artificial intelligence refers to the ability of a computer or machine to mimic the ability of the human mind to learn from examples and experiences, recognize objects, understand and respond to language, make decisions, solve problems, and combine these and other abilities to perform functions that humans might perform. Artificial intelligence requires experience and data to smarten up the technology. The most important things in making artificial intelligence are learning, reasoning, and self-correction. At the learning stage, AI gives machines the ability to learn tasks without requiring a defined programming language. Then, the reasoning stage is the stage where the reason AI is applied in a technology. The self-correction stage is the stage where the AI is refining itself from and learning from experience in order to minimize errors or problems that exist. Then, this matter is concerned with the parking lot to be discussed. Parking can be interpreted as public facilities available in agencies or offices that serve to store vehicles. Vehicles entering the parking area become tens or even thousands, because it requires a parking system and management area. Such arrangements are capable of parking procedures and even other support systems such as adequate parking facilities and infrastructure, and another function is to create and develop parking systems in general to provide safety and comfort. The methodology obtained from this problem is checking the research model to check and find out the comparison of vehicle user’s Parking System Security between cars or motorcycles, as well as the usual parking lots visited. Then, we created a questionnaire. This study used questionnaires with the aim to get respondents’ results about the Parking Security System. KenCoh: A Ranked-Based Canonical Coherence 1

In this paper, we consider the problem of characterizing a robust global dependence between two brain regions where each region may contain several voxels or channels. This work is driven by experiments to investigate the dependence between two cortical regions and to identify differences in brain networks between brain states, e.g., alert and drowsy states. The most common approach to explore dependence between two groups of variables (or signals) is via canonical correlation analysis (CCA). However, it is limited to only capturing linear associations and is sensitive to outlier observations. These limitations are crucial because brain network connectivity is likely to be more complex than linear and that brain signals may exhibit heavy-tailed properties. To overcome these limitations, we develop a robust method, Kendall canonical coherence (KenCoh), for learning monotonic connectivity structure among neuronal signals filtered at given frequency bands. Furthermore, we propose the KenCoh-based permutation test to investigate the differences in brain network connectivity between two different states. Our simulation study demonstrates that KenCoh is competitive to the traditional variance-covariance estimator and outperforms the later when the underlying distributions are heavy-tailed. We apply our method to EEG recordings from a virtual-reality driving experiment. Our proposed method led to further insights on the differences of frontal-parietal cross-dependence network when the subject is alert and when the subject is drowsy and that left-parietal channel drives this dependence at the beta-band. © 2024, CC BY.

Penghu Islands (Pescadores), Taiwan's outlying islands surrounded by the sea, boast rich fishing resources that attract many anglers. However, successful fishing requires more than just gear: it involves understanding the varying fish species available in different locations, times, and climates, as well as adhering to relevant laws and regulations. To address these needs, this paper proposes an environmentally friendly fishing Android-based mobile device App specifically for the Penghu Islands. The proposed Android-based mobile device App aims to gather essential information, including local fishing regulations, aquatic safety tips, and important precautions. Its goal is to equip fishermen with the resources necessary to fish successfully and with peace of mind.

Enhancing Geometric Ontology Embeddings for EL++ with Negative Sampling and Deductive Closure Filtering

Ontology embeddings map classes, relations, and individuals in ontologies into Rn, and within Rn similarity between entities can be computed or new axioms inferred. For ontologies in the Description Logic EL++, several embedding methods have been developed that explicitly generate models of an ontology. However, these methods suffer from some limitations;they do not distinguish between statements that are unprovable and provably false, and therefore they may use entailed statements as negatives. Furthermore, they do not utilize the deductive closure of an ontology to identify statements that are inferred but not asserted. We evaluated a set of embedding methods for EL++ ontologies based on high-dimensional ball representation of concept descriptions, incorporating several modifications that aim to make use of the ontology deductive closure. In particular, we designed novel negative losses that account both for the deductive closure and different types of negatives. We demonstrate that our embedding methods improve over the baseline ontology embedding in the task of knowledge base or ontology completion. © 2024, CC BY.

Suicide appears to have reached the highest public health importance, with social media like Twitter providing an infinite source of information that may help in the detection of ideation. This paper describes the development of an effective machine learning-based model for the classification of suicidal ideation in tweets using sentiment analysis. An assembly was done with a dataset of 9,120 tweets; they were labelled according to the suicidal thoughts expressed in them. We presented the assembly and preprocessing of a dataset consisting of 9,120 tweets designated based on indicative or non-indicative suicidal thoughts. The preprocessing steps consisted of normalization, tokenization, stop word removal, and lemmatization. Five ML models, namely Support Vector Machine (SVM), Multinomial Naive Bayes (MNB), Random Forest (RF), Stochastic Gradient Descent (SGD), and Logistic Regression (LR), were further trained on the selected dataset. The models are tested for standard classification metrics: accuracy, precision, recall, F1-Score, and AUC. The best performance for the model was Random Forest with 95.135% and an F1-Score of 95.094%. In conclusion, our study established that an amalgamation of sentiment analysis in ML models can have the potential to detect early suicidal tendencies and that it lays a platform for timely interventions. Future research should be focused on making the dataset even larger and enhancing the detection of sarcasm and jokes in the models.

Melanoma is a malignant form of cancer that affects the skin and has a particularly high mortality rate, so it requires early detection to increase the level of safety for users. Diagnosis and detection of skin cancer are usually done through manual screening and visual inspection. This process requires a long time, has high complexity, is subjective, and is prone to errors. CNN is one of the algorithms with advantages in accurate classification. In this research, early detection and classification of melanoma cancer were carried out based on two classes, namely benign and malignant using the Convolutional Neural Network method. Our proposed method yields an accuracy of 81.11% for the validation data. The accuracy results obtained can be improved by using more datasets and increasing the number of layers used. This study uses the CNN method using MobileNet V2 architecture to detect melanoma skin cancer. The class used is benign and malignant. © 2023 IEEE.

Crop Yield Analysis and Prediction is a fast-expanding discipline that is critical for optimizing agricultural methods. A lack of trustworthy data is one of the challenges in estimating crop yields. We develop predictive models for 22 different fruits and vegetables data. The goals of this study are to create accurate and interpretable crop recommendation models. We used multiple machine learning (ML) models for multi-class crop production prediction to fulfill our research goal. We thoroughly examined the influence of climate and nutrient factors on crop yield, considering their complex interactions. To improve the dataset, augmented data techniques were applied. Configuring the parameters and fine-tuning the hyperparameters is our technique to increase the model performance. Furthermore, we employ explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) techniques and interpretability tools like Shapley Additive exPlanations (SHAP) to improve the interpretability of our prediction model. Our findings reveal that the XGBoost model has the best performance model with 99.86% accuracy, followed by SVM Poly Kernel with 99.32% and Random Forest with 98.82%. Feature selection and analysis are emphasized, particularly in regional agricultural contexts. This study contributes to the creation of accurate and interpretable crop recommendation models while also addressing the issue of untrustworthy data, providing useful insights for optimizing agricultural practices. © 2023 IEEE.

In recent years, several industries have increased their demand for processing precision, automatic detection, and visualization interfaces. Therefore, to keep pace with the fourth industrial revolution, machine tool operators install a large number of sensors on machine tools to obtain more precise physical quantities during processing and use a variety of sensors to obtain measurements in various situations. However, these additional sensors on machine tools result in complicated wire layouts, which exhibit negative effects on processing. Such problems lead to the birth of wireless data transmission, which is expected to become the new standard in the future. At present, there is more and more interactive integration between relevant embedded system and the machine tool, which allows information communication between each other in the wireless domain. However, generally, the majority of machine tool operators focus on optimizing the sensing conditions during processing, but they disregard the importance of information security. In the current era of the Internet of Things (IoT), information security is regarded as a crucial factor. For the wireless communication between the IoT equipment for each machine in the machining field, the transmitted data are almost exposed within public space directly due to the loss in constraint and protection of physical wiring. Therefore, such a process can easily be intercepted by other devices that capture information on relevant status of the machine or command messages received by the controller, where intentional individual may possibly control the operating mechanism and progress of entire plant.
