An iterative inversion algorithm to reconstruct the shape of two-dimensional dielectric objects from far-field measurements is formulated and implemented. The proposed method uses an integral operator to map the unknown boundary of the object onto the far-field pattern of the scattered field. This mapping is inherently ill-posed and nonlinear. Therefore, Newton iterations are used for linearization, and the resulting linear equation at each iteration is regularized using a Tikhonov scheme. Numerical results validate the accuracy and the applicability of the proposed method.

There has been a lack of both educational focus on computational thinking (CT) and research into effective methods of assessing CT competence. This research takes a comprehensive look at the methods used to grade CT in higher education. This study examines the use of educational robotics (ER) as a teaching strategy in higher education, with particular attention to how undergraduate students might respond differently to this kind of learning. Students collaborate using artificial intelligence to find out how to program robots (start installing, interact, sharing information, feedback, and evaluate). Of 181 undergraduates’ students from Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, Pakistan, the Philippines, Egypt, Algeria, Lesoto, Cameron, Bangladesh, Sudan, Uganda, Portugal, Ukraine, Pakistan, and England make up the study groups. These students are enrolled in the first semester of the 2022 academic year. In this work, researchers employed a quantitative method technique. During the exercise, the participants were closely monitored to assess their performance in relation to the core CT constructs in the robotics class. These constructs include confidence in dealing with complexity, persistence in problem-solving, tolerance for ambiguity, ability to handle open-ended problems, effective communication skills, and teamwork abilities. Bi-isotropic and bi-anisotropic materials are expected to revolutionize wireless communications through the extended use of metasurfaces. This paper proposes a time-domain integral equation solver to simulate non-dispersive biisotropic materials under the thin-sheet approximation. Thin-sheet approximation is used to convert the time-domain volume integral equation for non-dispersive bi-isotropic media into a surface integral equation. This surface equation is discretized in space using Rao-Wilton-Glisson (RWG) basis functions for the tangential components of the electric and magnetic fluxes and pulse basis functions for their normal components (relative to the surface of the thin sheet). In time, shifted Lagrange polynomials are used for discretization. Applying Galerkin testing in space and point matching in time yields a matrix system. This matrix system is solved for the unknown basis expansion coefficients at each time step via time-marching. Numerical results demonstrate the accuracy of the proposed method. Future work includes extending this solver to dispersive bi-anisotropic media and use it in the simulation of metasurface represented by generalized sheet transition conditions (GSTCs).
