To bridge the digital barrier between those with disabilities and those without impairments, several applications can be operated by brain signals. It highlights the importance of employing brain-computer interfaces (BCI) and mentions a specific system called the "Brain-Controlled computer System" that can control a computer cursor and perform mouse actions using brain signals.. The system can control the cursor and provide mouse left/right click with brain signals using a low-cost Brainlink Lite device. Based on this system, we employed machine learning and deep learning methodologies to develop a system that classifies brain signals for cursor movement. The methodology involved gathering user input through surveys, interviews, and comparison studies, as well as utilizing pre-developed datasets collected using a mind sensor. We initially trained a model on a previous dataset, achieving approximately 70% accuracy. However, when applied to the new dataset, the accuracy dropped to 49%. To improve the results, we experimented with more complex models, including additional layers and a dropout layer to prevent overfitting. Despite these enhancements, the accuracy only reached a maximum of 52%. The research team collected a dataset tailored to their specific application. They made a groundbreaking discovery by applying a convolutional neural network (CNN), typically used for image analysis, to process continuous brainwave data. Despite this non-standard use, their hypothesis proved correct, with the CNN model achieving an impressive 80% accuracy in classifying brain signals for controlling a cursor. © 2024 The Authors. Over the past years,many efforts have been accomplished to achieve fast and accurate meta-heuristic algorithms to optimize a variety of real-world *** study presents a new optimization method based on an unusual geological phenomenon in nature,named Geyser inspired Algorithm(GEA).The mathematical modeling of this geological phenomenon is carried out to have a better understanding of the optimization *** efficiency and accuracy of GEA are verified using statistical examination and convergence rate comparison on numerous CEC 2005,CEC 2014,CEC 2017,and real-parameter benchmark ***,GEA has been applied to several real-parameter engineering optimization problems to evaluate its *** addition,to demonstrate the applicability and robustness of GEA,a comprehensive investigation is performed for a fair comparison with other standard optimization *** results demonstrate that GEA is noticeably prosperous in reaching the optimal solutions with a high convergence rate in comparison with other well-known nature-inspired algorithms,including ABC,BBO,PSO,and *** that the source code of the GEA is publicly available at https://***/projects/gea.

The article describes a new method for malware classification,based on a Machine Learning(ML)model architecture specifically designed for malware detection,enabling real-time and accurate malware *** an innovative feature dimensionality reduction technique called the Interpolation-based Feature Dimensionality Reduction Technique(IFDRT),the authors have significantly reduced the feature space while retaining critical information necessary for malware *** technique optimizes the model’s performance and reduces computational *** proposed method is demonstrated by applying it to the BODMAS malware dataset,which contains 57,293 malware samples and 77,142 benign samples,each with a 2381-feature *** the IFDRT method,the dataset is transformed,reducing the number of features while maintaining essential data for accurate *** evaluation results show outstanding performance,with an F1 score of 0.984 and a high accuracy of 98.5%using only two reduced *** demonstrates the method’s ability to classify malware samples accurately while minimizing processing *** method allows for improving computational efficiency by reducing the feature space,which decreases the memory and time requirements for training and *** new method’s effectiveness is confirmed by the calculations,which indicate significant improvements in malware classification accuracy and *** research results enhance existing malware detection techniques and can be applied in various cybersecurity applications,including real-timemalware detection on resource-constrained *** and scientific contribution lie in the development of the IFDRT method,which provides a robust and efficient solution for feature reduction in ML-based malware classification,paving the way for more effective and scalable cybersecurity measures.

The article describes a new method for image detection using machine learning, based on the development of sophisticated security systems tailored for examining digital media to identify and scrutinize altered images. Using deep learning models and advanced image processing techniques, the authors demonstrate high accuracy and efficiency i n detecting face modifications a nd malicious content within digital images. The authors illustrate the proposed technique by evaluating its performance on a unique dataset of unaltered and modified images. The method allows for improving detection accuracy by 93.99% and demonstrates robustness in real-time applications. The new method's effectiveness is confirmed by calculating precision and recall metrics. New research results develop advanced security solutions that can be used to enhance digital forensics, content authentication, and cybersecurity applications. Novelty and scientific contributions lie in integrating deep learning for real-time media analysis and enhancing data authenticity and integrity. © 2024 IEEE.

The research article described in this paper puts forward a novel method of using an integrated software approach and high-end hardware devices for adaptive and intelligent detection of potholes on asphalt roads. The Pothole Detection Dataset is used for the dataset analysis, and we put VGG19Net, ResNet-50, GoogLeNet, and AlexNet among the computer vision models to analyze the applicability of these models. Different types of networks were compared, and AlexNet showed the best results as it achieved 92.15% accuracy, 91.38 % sensitivity (TPR), and a surprisingly high F-score, which reached 96.52%. Furthermore, by using its time of 279.35 seconds, which might be considered very fast, AlexNet shows many strengths in helping to do this, as well as identifying road anomalies, making it a perfect candidate for real-world utilization. This research demonstrates the emergence of sophisticated integrated pothole repair solutions, emphasizing the importance of both software and hardware in developing sophisticated pothole detection. Practices and this research could be an example for further surveying road inspection technologies. © 2024 IEEE.

In this article, we present an original agent-based adaptive task scheduling system which optimizes the performance of services in the mobile cloud computing environment using machine learning mechanisms and context information. The system learns how to allocate resources appropriately: how to schedule services/tasks optimally between the mobile device and the cloud. Decisions are made taking into account the context (e.g., network connection type, location, security level). In this study, a supervised learning agent architecture and service selection algorithm are proposed to solve this problem. Adaptation is performed online on a mobile device. To verify the solution proposed, appropriate software has been developed and a series of experiments has been conducted. Results demonstrate that owing to the experience gathered and the learning process performed, the decision module becomes more efficient in assigning the task to either the mobile device or cloud resources. In the face of presented improvements, the security issues inherent in the context of mobile services/applications and cloud computing are further discussed. As threats associated with mobile data offloading are a serious concern, often ruling out the utilization of cloud services, we propose a more security focused approach for our solution, preferably without hindering performance. © 2020 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

Collective excitations of a Bose-condensed gas: Fate of second sound in the crossover regime between hydrodynamic and collisionless regimes

We develop the moment method for Bose-Einstein condensates at finite temperatures that enable us to study collective sound modes from the hydrodynamic to the collisionless regime. In particular, we investigate collective excitations in a weakly interacting dilute Bose gas by applying the moment method to the Zaremba-Nikuni-Griffin equation, which is the coupled equation of the Boltzmann equation with the generalized Gross-Pitaevskii equation. Utilizing the moment method, collective excitations in the crossover regime between the hydrodynamic and collisionless regimes are investigated in detail. In the crossover regime, the second sound mode loses the weight of the density response function because of the significant coupling with incoherent modes, whereas the first sound shows a distinct but broad peak structure. We compare the result obtained by the moment method with that of the Landau two-fluid equations and show that the collective mode predicted by the Landau two-fluid equations well coincides with the result from the moment method even far from the hydrodynamic regime, whereas clear distinction also emerges in the relatively higher momentum regime.

This paper focuses on improving learning and involvement in studies by employing game elements and considering online learning platforms to deliver statistics curriculum. According to the problem statement, the research examines gamification methods to transform studying from a routine to having enjoyment while improving academic results. This area of investigation is being extended to predict academic outcomes by applying different machine learning models to student performance data received from gamified. The strategy entails using a pedagogy based on collecting data from students who participated in a gamified educational platform;the data comprises indicators like pre-and post-platform exam grades, grades on quizzes, and indicators of platform usage. Multiple regression algorithms, including Random Forest and Gradient Boosting, are applied to student performance. In the experiments, the output results indicate that the model of Random Forest Regressor outperforms other models with the least Mean Squared Error (MSE) of 0.052. This model performs the best in terms of prediction accuracy with competence level in predicting students' results in gamified environments. The findings can support decision-making in designing educational activities. The Random Forest Regressor model can be identified as the best predictive model and may help train gamified learning platforms, which can encourage student engagement that correlates to performance. © 2024 IEEE.
