With the growing popularity of the Internet, Web applications have become increasingly essential in our daily lives. Web application programming interfaces (Web APIs) play a crucial role in facilitating interaction between applications. However, most Web service platforms are suffering from the imbalance of Web services now, many services of good quality but low popularity are difficult to be invoked even once and do not create direct connections with the users. Some graph-based Web service recommendation methods also often present a long-tailed distribution of recommended Web services due to limited Mashup-API invocation relationships. To relieve this problem and promote service recommendation, in this article, we propose a community structure and popularity-based approach by constructing an evolving cooperation network for Web APIs. We leverage the Louvain algorithm in community detection to assign community structure to each Web API and consider both the popularity and community structure in constructing the network. By optimizing the Barabαsi-Albert (BA) evolving network model, we demonstrate that our approach outperforms the BA, Bianconi-Barabαsi (BB), and popularity-similarity optimization (PSO) models in Web service clustering. Based on our proposed evolutionary network model for the evolutionary extension of API cooperation network and used for downstream Web service recommendation tasks, the experimental results also show that our recommended approach outperforms some other baseline models for Web service recommendation. © 2020 IEEE.

As an important maritime hub,Bohai Sea Bay provides great convenience for shipping and suffers from sea ice disasters of different severity every winter,which greatly affects the socio-economic and development of the ***,this paper uses FY-4A(a weather satellite)data to study sea ice in the Bohai *** processing the data for land removal and cloud detection,it combines multi-channel threshold method and adaptive threshold algorithm to realize the recognition of Bohai Sea ice under clear sky *** random forests classification algorithm is introduced in sea ice identification,which can achieve a certain effect of sea ice classification recognition under cloud *** non-clear sky conditions,the results of Bohai Sea ice identification based on random forests have been improved,and the algorithm can effectively identify Bohai Sea Ice and can improve the accuracy of sea ice identification,which lays a foundation for the accuracy and stability of sea ice *** realizes sea ice identification in the Bohai Sea and provides data support and algorithm support for marine climate forecasting related departments.

Using GAN Neural Networks for Super-Resolution Reconstruction of Temperature Fields

A Generative Adversarial Neural(GAN)network is designed based on deep learning for the Super-Resolution(SR)reconstruction task of temperaturefields(comparable to downscaling in the meteorologicalfield),which is limited by the small number of ground stations and the sparse distribution of observations,resulting in a lack offineness of *** improve the network’s generalization performance,the residual structure,and batch normalization are *** the nearest interpolation method to avoid over-smoothing of the climate element values instead of the conventional Bicubic interpolation in the computer ***-pixel convolution is used instead of transposed convolution or interpolation methods for up-sampling to speed up network *** experimental dataset is the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts Reanalysis v5(ERA5)with a bidirectional resolution of 0:1°×0:1°.On the other hand,the task aims to scale up the size by a factor of 8,which is rare compared to conventional *** comparison methods include traditional interpolation methods and a more widely used GAN-based network such as the *** experimental results show that the proposed scheme advances the performance of Root Mean Square Error(RMSE)by 37.25%,the Peak Signal-to-noise Ratio(PNSR)by 14.4%,and the Structural Similarity(SSIM)by 10.3%compared to the Bicubic *** the traditional SRGAN network,a relatively obvious performance improvement is observed by experimental ***,the GAN network can converge stably and reach the approximate Nash equilibrium for various initialization parameters to empirically illustrate the effectiveness of the method in the temperature fields.

Agriculture has a significant worldwide impact in terms of generating employment opportunities and stimulating economic growth. In India, agriculture plays a crucial role in development of food sources, boost up individual income of farmer and employment of the whole country. In the agriculture domain, meticulous machine learning-enabled crop classification is essential for production. Nowadays, for meticulous crop classification satellite images are used together with Geographical Information System (GIS) and remote sensing. Proposed ensemble methods are commonly used to estimate and examine the accomplishment of advanced machine learning concepts in the remote sensing community. In this paper, authors describe a framework with the combination of Support vector machine (SVM), Decision tree (DT), K-nearest neighbor (KNN), and Random forest (RF) and proposed ensemble method named as "SVM-DT-KNN-RF" that investigates the potential of crop mapping used to compare different architectures of machine learning as logistic regression (LR), RF, DT, KNN, SVM, bagging as well as boosting. The classifiers are tested on two remotely sensed datasets, one is Landsat 8 OLI (L8) and another is Sentinel 2 MSI (S2). The three primary findings based on our experiments are first, voting model proved to be the most accurate classifier. Second, bagging and boosting offer good accuracy in classification results. Finally, the results with two satellites i.e., S2 as well as L8 are compared. In the S2 dataset, the proposed ensemble method with a combination of two models i.e., SVM-DT, SVM-KNN and SVM-RF gave 89.1%, 89.8% and 89.7% results respectively, and the combination of four models i.e., SVM-DT-KNN-RF (for voting) is the better performer with 91.10% accuracy. In the L8 dataset, the proposed ensemble method which combines all four techniques SVM-DT-KNN-RF gave better results with a score of 90% while the worst performance was achieved by the decision tree with 79.58% accuracy. In this paper we investigate the controller placement problem on networks using controller reachability as the network performance metric. This metric is defined as the probability that each node can reach at least one controller, given that each link is operational with a fixed probability. By exploring placements for more than 100 real-world networks and by varying the number of controllers from two to five, we find that controller reachability varies greatly with different placements. Obviously, increasing the number of controllers increases the controller reachability. However, the extent of this increase depends on the strategy with which the controllers are placed. The findings indicate that efficient controller placement strategies should be developed to ensure good network performance. In this research, we propose four controller placement strategies. One strategy is based on topological network metrics: node degree and path length between controllers and nodes. The other three heuristic strategies are the greedy algorithm, the classic genetic algorithm and the heuristic genetic algorithm. By validating strategies on real-world networks, we find that all four strategies work well to solve the controller placement problem with respect to controller reachability. © 2023 IEEE.

Over the past few decades, mortality rates associated with air quality pollution have risen in numerous countries around the globe. This pollution stems from different factors such as meteorological conditions, human activities from urban industrialization, vehicular emission, and so on. Air pollution constituents such as NO2, CO, SO, and coarse and fine particulate matter for different locations have been analyzed to learn both correlation and inter-dependency for long and short terms. However, many of these studies overlook datasets collected using low-cost tools and equipment. Most of the time, datasets of this nature are marred with inconsistencies and gaps at irregular intervals. This may render the air pollutant data unsuitable. In order to test the suitability of machine learning algorithms on such dataset, this study conducts a time-series forecast analysis using the prophet algorithm. Two additional models including linear regressor and random forest regressor are trained and tested on the same dataset and a comparative analysis of the three models is performed. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Human Robot Interaction (HRI) is a field of study dedicated to understanding, designing, and evaluating robotic systems for use by, or with, humans [19]. In HRI there is a consensus about the design and implementation of robotic systems that should be able to adapt their behavior based on user actions and behavior. The robot should adapt to emotions, personalities, and it should also have a memory of past interactions with the user to become believable. This is of particular importance in the field of social robotics and social HRI. The aim of this Workshop is to bring together researchers and practitioners who are working on various aspects of social robotics and adaptive interaction. The expected result of the workshop is a multidisciplinary research agenda that will inform future research directions and hopefully, forge some research collaborations. © 2023 ACM.

With the growing demand for communication and the rapid development of global mobile communication technology, the fourth generation of mobile communication can no longer meet the needs of people in their working lives for mobile network communication, and the fifth generation of mobile communication is born. This paper first introduces three strategies for the use of the 5G spectrum, namely spectrum dedication, spectrum re-farming, and spectrum sharing. Secondly, it introduces the three main application scenarios for the 5G spectrum, namely enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB), ultrahigh reliability and ultra-low latency services (URLLC), and massive IoT communications (MTC). The presentation concludes with a summary of the impact of the 5G spectrum in today's society and an outlook on its future development. © 2023 IEEE.

Human cognition is usually underpinned by intrinsic structure and functional neural co-activation in spatially distributed brain *** to lacking an effective approach to quantifying the covarying of structure and functional responses,how the structural–functional circuits interact and how genes encode the relationships,to deepen our knowledge of human cognition and disease,are still ***,we propose a multimodal covariance network(MCN)construction approach to capture interregional covarying of the structural skeleton and transient functional activities for a single *** further explored the potential association between brain-wide gene expression patterns and structural–functional covarying in individuals involved in a gambling task and individuals with major depression disorder(MDD),adopting multimodal data from a publicly available human brain transcriptomic atlas and 2 independent *** analysis showed a replicable cortical structural–functional fine map in healthy individuals,and the expression of cognition-and disease phenotype-related genes was found to be spatially correlated with the corresponding MCN *** analysis of cell type-specific signature genes suggests that the excitatory and inhibitory neuron transcriptomic changes could account for most of the observed correlation with task-evoked MCN differences.
