The algorithms in this paper exploit optimal input structure in interference networks and is a major advance from the state-of-the-art. Optimization under multiple linear constraints is important for interference networks with individual power constraints, per-antenna power constraints, and/or interference constraints as in cognitive radios. While for single-user MIMO channel transmitter optimization, no one uses general purpose optimization algorithms such as steepest ascent because water-filling is optimal and much simpler, this is not true for MIMO multiaccess channels (MAC), broadcast channels (BC), and the non-convex optimization of interference networks because the traditional water-filling is far from optimal for networks. We recently found the right form of water-filling, polite water-filling, for some capacity/achievable regions of the general MIMO interference networks, named B-MAC networks, which include BC, MAC, interference channels, X networks, and most practical wireless networks as special cases. In this paper, we use weighted sum-rate maximization under multiple linear constraints in interference tree networks, a natural extension of MAC and BC, as an example to show how to design highly efficiency and low complexity algorithms. Several times faster convergence speed and orders of magnitude higher accuracy than the state-of-the-art are demonstrated by numerical examples.

This paper proposes several hardware design schemas for Montgomery ECC over GF (p). Three known projective coordinates were used to apply ECC computations, in order to eliminate the long time inversion operation, which are Homogeneous, López-Dahab, and Jacobean coordinates. Unlike the usual serial design implementations, our proposed designs utilize the inherent parallelism in ECC computations by using parallel hardware design, in which the ECC computations are performed in parallel to improve the performance of ECC. In addition to the performance, other factors affecting the design of ECC such as area, resources-consuming, system utilization, AT2, and AT factors were studied and enhanced. This was achieved via proposing different design schemas for Montgomery ECC by varying the degree of parallelism for ECC computations. Our proposed designs provide attractive trade-off between mentioned factors, which helps in selecting the most efficient design choices for different security applications based on the requirements and availability of resources for particular application. The performance level of homogeneous coordinates when applied using 4-PM design was five multiplication cycles, which overcomes the other coordinates systems, as well as the known serial design. The 2-PM design for homogeneous projection, on the other hand, improves the system utilization considerably with less area and resources in comparison to the designs with higher degree of parallelism. © 2011 Praise Worthy Prize S.r.l. - All rights reserved.

Elliptic Curves Crypto-system (ECC) has been widely involved in many security applications. ECC computations suffer the long time inversion operation when applied using usual affine coordinates which affects the performance of ECC. Moreover, while the majority of previous researches focused on addressing the performance of ECC, other factors that play crucial role in building efficient ECC design for different security applications have not been intensively investigated, such as area, system utilization, resources-consuming, AT, and AT2 cost factors. Our research proposes several designs and architectures for Edwards ECC over GF (p) using projective coordinates (X/Z2 Y/Z2). All our proposed designs apply ECC computations with no inversion operation. To improve the performance even further, our research utilizes the inherent parallelism in elliptic curves computations by applying arithmetic operations for ECC in parallel. Our results show that the performance for the proposed 5-PM design overcomes designs using the known projective coordinates as well as the affine coordinates, since it achieves the shortest time delay. Furthermore, the other proposed designs provide an attractive trade-off between mentioned factors by varying the degree of parallelism for ECC computational schemes. Although this trade-off compromises the performance of ECC, the other factors were enhanced progressively. This helps to select the most suitable ECC design for several elliptic curves applications according to their requirements and available resources. The 2-PM design obtains the best system utilization results and AT cost with less area in comparison with designs using a higher degree of parallelism. Copyright © 2011 Praise Worthy Prize S.r.l. Interference alignment (IA) has been well recognized as a promising technique to obtain a large multiplexing gain in multiple input multiple output (MIMO) interference channels. However, most of the existing IA schemes require global channel state information (CSI) at the transmitter to design precoding vectors, which causes a large amount of feedback bits. To reduce the feedback overhead, in this paper, we model the evolution and dynamic behavior of the CSI feedback rate control problem using the evolutionary game theory over orthogonal feedback channels with a total bandwidth constraint. The game utility is defined as the performance gain by CSI feedback minus the price as a linear function of the CSI feedback rate, subject to an overall bandwidth constraint. Then, an algorithm for the implementation of the evolution process is also presented. The proposed game-theoretic framework for modeling the interactions among the feedback of multiple users can be used to efficiently control the CSI feedback amount while achieving fairness among all the mobile receivers.

The aviation community is currently working on the standardization of data communication systems for the future air traffic management. In this context, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has initiated a work on standardization of an IPv6-based aeronautical telecommunications network and on future radio access technologies, respectively. In this paper, we integrate L-Band Digital Aeronautical communications System Option 1 (L-DACS 1), which is one candidate for future radio access technologies, with realistic IPv6-based network layer functionality and analyze Deficit Round Robin (DRR) with fragmentation algorithm for the forward and return link in L-DACS 1. Our analysis mainly covers two application domains: file transfer and real-time services. We show that DRR with fragmentation scheduler provides good performance results in terms of throughput, delay, and bandwidth fairness.

The Internet today consist of many heterogeneous infrastructures, owned and maintained by separate and potentially competing administrative authorities. On top of this a wide variety of applications has different requirements with regard to quality, reliability and security from the underlying networks. The number of stakeholders who participate in provisioning of network and services is growing. More demanding applications (like eGovernment, eHealth, critical and emergency infrastructures) are on the rise. Therefore we assume that these two basic characteristics, a) multiple authorities and b) applications with very diverse demands, are likely to stay or even increase in the Internet of the future. In such an environment federation and virtualization of resources are key features that should be supported in a future Internet. The ability to form slices across domains that meet application specific requirements enables many of the desired features in future networks. In this paper, we present a Multipath Routing Slice experiment that we performed over multiple federated testbeds. We combined capabilities from different experimental facilities, since one single testbed did not offer all the required capabilities. This paper summarizes the conducted experiment, our experience with the usability of federated testbeds and our experience with the use of advanced measurement technologies within experimental facilities. We believe that this experiment provides a good example use case for the future Internet itself because we assume that the Internet will consist of multiple different infrastructures that have to be combined in application specific overlays or routing slices, very much like the experimental facilities we used in this experiment. We also assume that the growing demands will push towards a much better measurement instrumentation of the future Internet. The tools used in our experiment can provide a starting point for this. © 2011 The Author(s).

This paper presents a new speed controller based on the theory of adaptive fuzzy inference system based on neural (ANFIS) for a direct torque to twelve sectors controlled of the induction motor. The proposed controller integrates fuzzy logic algorithm with a structure of artificial neural network (ANN) five-layer in order to reap the benefits of both methods, the learning abilities of the first and readability and flexibility of the second. The controller replaces the conventional PI is the rule fuzzy inference system with the hybrid learning algorithm. This makes learning the fuzzy system. The performance of the proposed neuro-fuzzy control for induction motor speed was studied at different operating conditions. The simulation study shows the robustness and relevance of control for applications in high performance driving.

In this paper, we propose an approach for improving direct torque control (DTC) of induction machines based on the theory of fuzzy logic that replaces the conventional comparators and the selection table, to reduce the torque ripples electromagnetic flux and the stator current. Then we present a speed estimator, based on the algorithm of the extended Kalman filter (EKF). The function of filtering consists to estimate the useful information which is polluted by a noise. The extended Kalman filter (EKF) aims to estimate optimally the state of linear system: this state corresponds to useful information. Before defining the optimality factors that will calculate the Kalman filter, which is in fact a stochastic criterion.. The validity of the proposed methods is confirmed by the simulation results.

The existing service migration methods bring the server cluster heavy burden, and their time spending is so high that seriously affects the service continuity. In order to enhance the survivability of IP network services, the paper puts forward an intent-perceptible service migration model (ISM). In this model, we design a novel trigger mechanism and object selecting method for service migration, and make the service migration intention perceptible for the client with the cooperation of the server. The evaluation results show that ISM model can not only ensure the service invulnerability by maintaining a high randomness of service migration, but also improve the service continuity by reducing the service gap time spending on service migration to the maximum extent. Therefore, ISM model can enhance IP network survivability efficiently.

大规模多输入多输出(multiple input multiple output,MIMO)系统由于天线数目的急剧增加,其模型与传统多入多出系统有诸多不同,反馈信息对系统性能有较大影响。针对迫零波束成形、有限反馈等条件下,对大规模MIMO系统进行仿真,研究其性能,对其实际应用有一定的指导意义。仿真分析表明,有限反馈下的大规模MIMO系统在反馈比特数目较少时与传统MIMO系统性能相仿,当反馈比特达到一定数目后,系统容量性能将显著提升。
