This paper designs an epidemic prevention and control mask wearing detection system based on STM32, which is used to monitor the situation of people wearing masks. Tiny-YOLO detection algorithm is adopted in the system, combined with image recognition technology, and two kinds of image data with and without masks are used for network training. Then, the trained model can be used to carry out real-time automatic supervision on the wearing of masks in the surveillance video. When the wrong wearing or not wearing masks are detected, the buzzer will send an alarm, so as to effectively monitor the wearing of masks and remind relevant personnel to wear masks correctly. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2024.

Cloud computing provides scalable and adaptable infrastructure however is significantly susceptible to cyber-attacks. This work presents a hybrid methodology that integrates the GOA and GA for feature selection, alongside the Residual GraphSAGE model for intrusion detection. The hybrid GOA-GA method enhances feature selection by optimizing the balance between exploration and exploitation, mitigating overfitting, and augmenting classification performance. The Residual GraphSAGE model alleviates over smoothing while effectively capturing node and edge interactions for precise intrusion classification. Assessment on a benchmark dataset reveals exceptional performance, attaining an accuracy of 91.74%, surpassing established models such as GCN and ResNet. This study emphasizes the need of hybrid optimization and sophisticated graph-based learning in improving cloud infrastructure security. © 2025 IEEE.

Blind image quality assessment (BIQA) remains challenging due to the diverse types of distortion and variable image content, which complicates the distortion patterns crossing different scales and aggravates the difficulty of the regression problem for BIQA. However, existing BIQA methods often fail to consider multi-scale distortion patterns and image content, and there has limited research on improving the performance of quality regression models through specific learning strategies. In this paper, we propose a simple yet effective Progressive Multi-Task Image Quality Assessment (PMT-IQA) model, which contains a multi-scale feature extraction module (MS) and a progressive multi-task learning module (PMT), to help the model learn complex distortion patterns and better optimize the regression issue to align with the law of human learning process from easy to hard. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed PMT-IQA model, we conduct experiments on four widely used public datasets, and the experimental results indicate that the performance of PMT-IQA is superior to the comparison approaches, and both MS and PMT modules improve the model’s performance. Fetal brain anomaly prediction is important for fetal medicine, as well as for prenatal health care. Fetal anomalies are classified into two types, anomalies in the fetus' body parts including heart, lung, and kidney anomalies in facial features. Thus, to predict the anomalies in the fetal brain, various deep-learning models are used in this paper. The LeNet, AlexNet, ResNet, VGGNet, GoogLeNet and ZFNet were used. From the results obtained, the ResNet method achieved 99% accuracy with the given 3D ultrasound images of the fetal brain compared with other models and benchmark algorithms like SVM, Logistic regression, and KNN. The results of this paper are useful to identify fetal anomalies. Hence, this approach will be useful for improving outcomes for individuals and society as much as possible. © 2024 IEEE.

In order to identify the latency-critical applications, this research develops an intelligent task placement and resource allocation framework (ITPRAF) that makes use of supervised feed forward neural networks. This algorithm runs through two stages. To decide whether to schedule a task for execution in the fog or send it to the cloud in the first part, this machine learning-based system uses the task's attributes as input. To ensure the best resource usage, jobs that are put to fog are reshuffled keeping into account the priority at the fog queue in the second phase. Four mechanisms for resource allocation in fog are presented in this research. Through the simulation results from various iterations, the reaction time, resource consumption, and delay satisfaction rate of each scenario were compared. © 2022 IEEE.

In 21st decade, healthcare is one of the biggest challenges, and the current scenario very flexible to adapt the effective execution technology solutions like internet of things (IoT). Through this a patient may access the treatment remotely and rapidly. Most suitable and effective applications need complex data of personal care, and reliability among the entire participated component or parties. Blockchain technology has been captured the industry domain with its computation and trusted model among participated parties. This paper presents a data storage decision framework for managing blockchain storage using on-chain and off-chain methods. There is a need for making balanced decisions between the very expensive on-chain storage methods and the less secure off-chain storage, towards optimizing blockchain storage costs. © 2024 IEEE.

The agricultural sector is the scientific and artistic cultivation of plants and animals. Agriculture has an important role in India's economy, which covers a significant 60.45% of the country's land and stands as the world's second-largest agricultural sector, driving economic growth through its diverse produce and associated industries. Soil composition really matters for growing stuff. Elements like Nitrogen, Phosphorous, & Potassium play a big role. The way you rotate crops, soil moisture, and even temperature all affect how well things grow. Rainfall is important too. Research has shown that using machine learning can help figure out the best crops to grow. They utilize methods that include Random Forest (RF), Decision Tree (DT), and Artificial Neural Network (ANN) for this. The study also looks into deep learning methods to make the model even better. In addition to predicting crop yields, it also provides detailed information on the required amounts of soil elements and their associated costs. The new model offers superior precision compared to the current one. The system examines the provided data and assists farmers in forecasting a crop, which subsequently aids in achieving financial gains. The prediction of a suitable yield takes into account the meteorological and soil parameters of the area. This Python-based system utilizes advanced algorithms to optimize decision-making, forecasting the most lucrative outcomes in various situations while streamlining costs and boosting productivity. The study employs Support Vector Machines (SVM) as an example of Machine Learning (ML) method, while Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) and Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN) are used as Deep Learning (DL) techniques. © 2024 IEEE.

The swift progression of deepfake-generating technologies has elicited much apprehension about their potential misuse in digital media, necessitating the development of efficient detection methods. This research aims to improve the precision of deepfake detection by the application of spatial-temporal feature engineering methods. A comparative comparison of advanced preprocessing techniques is performed to enhance the extraction of spatial and temporal indicators essential for detecting deepfake abnormalities. The study investigates the amalgamation of sophisticated machine learning and deep learning models with designed characteristics to get enhanced detection efficacy. Experimental assessments are conducted on benchmark datasets to verify the effectiveness of the suggested methodologies. The findings highlight the importance of effective preprocessing strategies in enhancing model generalizability and dependability, hence supporting the overarching goal of preserving digital authenticity. © 2025 IEEE.

This paper proposes an algorithm of divide-compare-swap-based (DCS) sorting that reduces time complexity by utilizing quantum parallelism. A new cost optimized comparator circuit has been designed and simulated using qiskit for comparing two quantum numbers. The sorting process consists of divide, compare-swap and merge. The set of n quantum numbers are divided equally into two sub arrays followed by comparing-swapping of two middle elements. This process continues in two sub arrays till array with single element is found. The sorting circuit performs well in qiskit with time complexity n, which has a significant improvement over existing quantum sorting technique. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Emotion recognition through facial expressions and gesture analysis has emerged as a key area of research in computer vision and human-computer interaction. The ability to automatically detect and classify human emotions has wide-ranging applications, from enhancing user experiences to improving mental health monitoring and surveillance systems. This project builds on this background to develop a comprehensive system for recognizing emotions and gestures in both humans and animals. The system integrates facial emotion recognition, hand gesture interpretation, and animal emotion detection into a single platform. Using advanced deep learning models and computer vision libraries, the system classifies facial expressions into categories such as happiness, sadness, anger, fear, surprise, and neutral. The gesture recognition component interprets hand signals to convey messages like 'need help' or 'need water.' An innovative aspect of this work is the extension of emotion recognition to animals, particularly focusing on species like dogs and monkeys. Implemented primarily in Python, the system leverages libraries such as OpenCV and DeepFace. By combining these different modalities of nonverbal communication analysis, the project presents a versatile solution with potential applications in human-computer interaction, mental health monitoring, security, and animal welfare. © 2024 IEEE.
