With technologies that have democratized the production and reproduction of information, a significant portion of daily interacted posts in social media has been infected by rumors. Despite the extensive research on rumor detection and verification, so far, the problem of calculating the spread power of rumors has not been considered. To address this research gap, the present study seeks a model to calculate the Spread Power of Rumor (SPR) as the function of content-based features in two categories: False Rumor (FR) and True Rumor (TR). For this purpose, the theory of Allport and Postman will be adopted, which it claims that importance and ambiguity are the key variables in rumor-mongering and the power of rumor. Totally 42 content features in two categories "importance" (28 features) and "ambiguity" (14 features) are introduced to compute SPR. The proposed model is evaluated on two datasets, Twitter and Telegram. The results showed that (i) the spread power of False Rumor documents is rarely more than True Rumors. (ii) there is a significant difference between the SPR means of two groups False Rumor and True Rumor. (iii) SPR as a criterion can have a positive impact on distinguishing False Rumors and True Rumors. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature.

Due to the intense data flow in expanding Internet of Things(IoT)applications,a heavy processing cost and workload on the fog-cloud side become *** of the most critical challenges is optimal task *** this is an NP-hard problem type,a metaheuristic approach can be a good *** study introduces a novel enhancement to the Artificial Rabbits Optimization(ARO)algorithm by integrating Chaotic maps and Levy flight strategies(CLARO).This dual approach addresses the limitations of standard ARO in terms of population diversity and convergence *** is designed for task scheduling in fog-cloud environments,optimizing energy consumption,makespan,and execution time simultaneously three critical parameters often treated individually in prior *** conventional single-objective methods,the proposed approach incorporates a multi-objective fitness function that dynamically adjusts the weight of each parameter,resulting in better resource allocation and load *** analysis,a real-world dataset,the Open-source Google Cloud Jobs Dataset(GoCJ_Dataset),is used for performance measurement,and analyses are performed on three considered *** are applied with well-known algorithms:GWO,SCSO,PSO,WOA,and ARO to indicate the reliability of the proposed *** this regard,performance evaluation is performed by assigning these tasks to Virtual Machines(VMs)in the resource *** are performed on 90 base cases and 30 scenarios for each evaluation *** results indicated that the proposed algorithm achieved the best makespan performance in 80% of cases,ranked first in execution time in 61%of cases,and performed best in the final parameter in 69% of *** addition,according to the obtained results based on the defined fitness function,the proposed method(CLARO)is 2.52%better than ARO,3.95%better than SCSO,5.06%better than GWO,8.15%better than PSO,and 9.41%better than WOA.

A 4-Port Broadband High-Isolated MIMO Antenna for Wireless Communication

This article proposes a versatile Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) antenna designed for contemporary wireless systems spanning frequencies from 3 to 20 GHz. It serves applications such as 5G mobile, WiFi, WiFi-6E, X-band, partial Ku, and K-band. The original single-element antenna evolves into a 4 × 4 MIMO configuration with optimized ground plane modifications for enhanced performance. A decoupling structure achieves over 20 dB isolation between inter-elements. The feeding structure, featuring a gradually changing design connected to the antenna’s radiating structure, achieves wide bandwidth characteristics. This is further improved by a partial ground structure and slots on the radiating element. The lower frequency band of 3 to 7 GHz is attained with a rectangle-shaped radiator, while semi-circular microstrip lines atop the radiator enable the higher frequency bands of 8 to 15.4 and 18.7 to 20 GHz. The slots and ground structure enhance impedance bandwidth, and semicircles improve the radiation pattern. The MIMO antenna demonstrates measured peak gains of 6.23 dBi at 11.5 GHz, maintaining a radiation efficiency exceeding 80%. Validation through metrics like ECC, DG, CCL, and TARC confirms strong agreement between simulated and experimental results, positioning the MIMO antenna as a robust choice for various wireless communication applications. © 2024, Electromagnetics Academy. Selecting the most relevant subset of features from a dataset is a vital step in data mining and machine *** feature in a dataset has 2n possible subsets,making it challenging to select the optimum collection of features using typical *** a result,a new metaheuristicsbased feature selection method based on the dipper-throated and grey-wolf optimization(DTO-GW)algorithms has been developed in this *** can result when the selection of features is subject to metaheuristics,which can lead to a wide range of ***,we adopted hybrid optimization in our method of optimizing,which allowed us to better balance exploration and harvesting chores more *** propose utilizing the binary DTO-GW search approach we previously devised for selecting the optimal subset of *** the proposed method,the number of features selected is minimized,while classification accuracy is *** test the proposed method’s performance against eleven other state-of-theart approaches,eight datasets from the UCI repository were used,such as binary grey wolf search(bGWO),binary hybrid grey wolf,and particle swarm optimization(bGWO-PSO),bPSO,binary stochastic fractal search(bSFS),binary whale optimization algorithm(bWOA),binary modified grey wolf optimization(bMGWO),binary multiverse optimization(bMVO),binary bowerbird optimization(bSBO),binary hysteresis optimization(bHy),and binary hysteresis optimization(bHWO).The suggested method is superior 4532 CMC,2023,vol.74,no.2 and successful in handling the problem of feature selection,according to the results of the experiments.

Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) is indeed a fascinating consensus algorithm used on various blockchain platforms. It was designed to address some of the scalability and energy consumption issues associated with Proof of Work (PoW) while maintaining decentralization to a certain extent. But, DPoS has some disadvantages in the distribution of profit share for stake forwarding nodes to delegate nodes. The profit share is controlled by the delegate nodes rather than the staking nodes or token holder voting nodes. Here, in Profit Demand Delegated Proof of Stake (PD-DPoS), we introduced a new mechanism to facilitate the token holder voting nodes to demand a rate of profit/profit share. PD-DPoS will encourage the delegate nodes to invest in infrastructure for high connectivity and fast computing crypto systems. As the system builds targeting fast and reliable computing by extending the opportunity of demanding profit share for token holder voter nodes will experimentally perform and prove better than the DPoS. © 2024 IEEE.
