Developing robot software is difficult for most software engineers as it requires multi-discipline knowledge such as robotics, AI, and software engineering. Robot Operating Systems (ROS) provides a software development framework and lots of reusable ROS Nodes that encapsulate various robotics functions, which can simplify robot software development in terms of software reuse. However, searching and reusing required ROS Nodes from thousands of ROS Nodes is still challenging due to the scattered distribution of ROS Node information and the need for adequate search methods. In this paper, we present an effective method to construct a ROS Node knowledge graph in support of searching and reusing ROS Nodes. Our method uses multiple data sources, including open-source ROS software in Github and ROS wiki community. We extract two-tuple functional information and task-related noun phrases from the ROS Node description and ROS communication interactions from the ROS Node source code. The constructed ROS Node knowledge graph (RNKG) contains 14,065 entities and 15,767 relations. It provides rich semantic information to comprehensively and precisely describe ROS Nodes, their services, and related interaction topics and messages. © 2023 Knowledge Systems Institute Graduate School. Coalbed methane (CBM) is a vital unconventional energy resource, and predicting its spatiotemporal pressure dynamics is crucial for efficient development strategies. This paper proposes a novel deep learning–based data-driven surrogate model, AxialViT-ConvLSTM, which integrates AxialAttention Vision Transformer, ConvLSTM, and an enhanced loss function to predict pressure dynamics in CBM reservoirs. The results showed that the model achieves a mean square error of 0.003, a learned perceptual image patch similarity of 0.037, a structural similarity of 0.979, and an R² of 0.982 between predictions and actual pressures, indicating excellent performance. The model also demonstrates strong robustness and accuracy in capturing spatial–temporal pressure features. © 2025 Sichuan Petroleum Administration

Aptamers are single-stranded DNA or RNA oligonucleotides that selectively bind to specific targets, making them valuable for drug design and diagnostic applications. Identifying the interactions between aptamers and target proteins is crucial for these applications. The systematic evolution of ligands by exponential enrichment process, traditionally used for this purpose, is challenging and time-consuming. The resulting aptamers often suffer from limitations in stability and diversity. Computational approaches have shown promise in aiding the discovery of high-performance aptamers, but existing methods are usually constrained by insufficient training data and limited generalizability. Recently, advancements in pre-training large language models have offered a new avenue to mitigate the dependency on large datasets. In this study, we propose a novel method to predict aptamer-protein interactions using large language models within a contrastive learning framework. Experimental results demonstrate that our method exhibits superior generalization and outperforms existing approaches. This method holds promise as a powerful tool for predicting aptamer-protein interactions. © 2024 IEEE.

Microservice architectures backed by container technology have been widely used in many real-world cloud-native applications. The number of containers in cloud data centers continues to increase, expected to reach several million soon. At this scale, existing service and configuration management solutions have limited efficiency, scalability and robustness. To overcome these limitations, we propose Ripple, which uniquely combines several existing and some novel features including consistent hashing-based workload distribution, dynamic destination list-based and client-assisted message delivery, incremental update, and adaptive load balancing. The experiments show that our solution greatly outperforms its counterparts. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Array-unit dual-usage register is a kind of register resource that can be read or written as a whole or individually. It is mainly configured in processors with SIMD processing units and provides register-level speed data transfer between the scalar and vector processing units. To improve the efficiency of algorithms by using an array-unit dual-usage register, we investigate in this article the problem of adapting register allocation to code containing array-unit dual-usage register names. We propose a corresponding global register allocation method by combining the allocation of regular registers with array-unit dual-usage register, ensuring that the names of array-unit dual-usage register can be used in the input code of register allocation. Moreover, we present the processing framework of this method and the specific algorithms of some related vital aspects and demonstrate the working principles of the algorithms by an example. Experimental studies were conducted on a platform based on the FT-M7002 DSP core, and showing that our register allocation method can effectively handle codes containing array-unit dual-usage register names and support relevant application algorithms to improve their data transfer scheme. For some typical algorithms with input matrix, substantial performance improvements of twofold or higher are achieved. © 2022 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

There is a growing concern about adversarial attacks against automatic speech recognition (ASR) systems. Although research into targeted universal adversarial examples (AEs) has progressed, current methods are constrained by inefficient exploitation of audio features, demonstrating insufficient attack ability and robustness in the physical world. To solve this problem, we propose a phoneme-tailored attack (PTA) to improve the quality of the generated AEs. Specifically, to improve attack ability, we propose a Diverse Audio Composition Enrichment method, which enhances the utilization of audio features through phoneme-level slicing and recombination. To adapt AEs to complex environments, we propose a Natural Noise Pattern Guidance method to align AEs with natural noise patterns to improve their robustness. Experiments show that our method achieves an average accuracy of more than 72.34% and 98% with and without a norm constraint, and also demonstrates excellent performance in terms of generalization across datasets and resilience to MP3 compression. © 2025 IEEE.

Mobile edge caching is a promising technique for supporting the applications of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), which involve huge volumes of image and video contents. Specifically, critical challenges arise in meeting the contents requirements of moving vehicles. In this work, we investigate the collaborative contents delivery in air-ground integrated vehicular networks, where unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and roadside units (RSUs) cache popular contents and further deliver it to nearby vehicles. Efficient contents placement is crucial because of the high mobility of vehicles and UAVs, and the limited caching capacity of edge nodes. To address this, we formulate the heterogeneous cache optimization problem as a generalized multi-dimensional multiple knapsack problem (MMKP), which is NP-hard. In particular, we propose an adaptive collaborative caching optimization (ACCO) algorithm that employs the Kernel Search (KS) framework to find a near-optimal caching scheme, with dynamically adjustable dimensions and solution time for subproblems. Furthermore, we use the k-means clustering algorithm to categorize contents based on service latency, caching cost, and contents size, adding a greedy-based load balancing strategy to achieve cost-effective optimal matching of contents and edge nodes. Comprehensive simulations verify the effectiveness of the proposed cooperative edge caching architecture and the ACCO algorithm in reducing service delay and caching costs for contents delivery. © 2023 IEEE.

With the emergence of efficient logistics models and the development of drone technology, the last-mile delivery problem has become a focus of attention for scholars in various fields. The advantages of drones, such as low cost, energy saving, and independence from road conditions, have made them increasingly popular in the delivery industry. However, drones have shortcomings such as short endurance, small payload capacity, and susceptibility to interference. Therefore, the cooperative delivery model of vehicles and drones has important theoretical research significance and practical application value. Existing literature reviews focus on static truck-drone delivery problems (TDDPs) and methods such as exact algorithms, heuristics, and metaheuristics. However, real-life truck-drone delivery problems are easily affected by dynamic environmental changes. Accordingly, this article introduces some new dynamic variants of TDDPs proposed in recent years, which consider variable drone flight endurance, urban crowded road conditions, stochastic customer demands, and the influence of weather changes. In recent years, some new methods for solving TDDPs have been introduced, such as the increasingly popular machine learning and reinforcement learning methods. Finally, the possible future research directions and development trends of TDDPs are presented. © 2023 IEEE.

Interpretable CNN-Based Lithographic Hotspot Detection Through Error Marker Learning

As the technology node develops toward its physical limit, lithographic hotspot detection has become increasingly important and ever-challenging in the computer-aided design (CAD) flow. In recent years, convolutional neural networks (CNNs) have achieved great success in hotspot detection. However, the interpretability of their hotspot prediction has yet to be considered. Compared with conventional lithography simulation and pattern matching-based methods, the black-box nature of CNNs wavers their practical applications with confidence. In this article, we propose the first interpretable CNN-based hotspot detector capable of providing high-detection accuracy and reliable explanations for hotspot identification. Specifically, we augment the training dataset with expanded error markers obtained and preprocessed from lithography simulation, which are then learned by an encoder-decoder architecture as intermediate features. We additionally introduce coordinate attention in the encoder to facilitate better-feature extraction. By learning these error markers and part of their surrounding metals as root cause hotspot features, our architecture achieves the highest-hotspot accuracy of 99.78% and the lowest-false positive rate of 5.29% compared to all prior work. Moreover, our method demonstrates the best visual and quantitative interpretability results when applying CNN interpretation methods. © 2024 IEEE.
