Offline Reinforcement Learning (RL) is an important research domain for real-world applications because it can avert expensive and dangerous online exploration. Offline RL is prone to extrapolation errors caused by the distribution shift between offline datasets and states visited by behavior policy. Existing offline RL methods constrain the policy to offline behavior to prevent extrapolation errors. But these methods limit the generalization potential of agents in Out-Of-Distribution (OOD) regions and cannot effectively evaluate OOD generalization behavior. To improve the generalization of the policy in OOD regions while avoiding extrapolation errors, we propose an Energy-Based Policy Optimization (EBPO) method for OOD generalization. An energy function based on the distribution of offline data is proposed for the evaluation of OOD generalization behavior, instead of relying on model discrepancies to constrain the policy. The way of quantifying exploration behavior in terms of energy values can balance the return and risk. To improve the stability of generalization and solve the problem of sparse reward in complex environment, episodic memory is applied to store successful experiences that can improve sample efficiency. Extensive experiments on the D4RL datasets demonstrate that EBPO outperforms the state-of-the-art methods and achieves robust performance on challenging tasks that require OOD generalization. © 2023 The Authors.

Behavior trees (BTs) have been extensively applied in the area of both computer games and robotics, as the control architectures. However, the construction of BTs is labor-expensive, time-consuming, and even impossible as the complexity of task increases. In this work, we propose a formal verification based synthesis method to automatically construct BTs whose behaviors satisfy the given Linear Temporal Logic (LTL) specifications. Our method first explores candidate BTs by a grammar-based Monte Carlo Tree Search (MCTS), then the explored BTs are transformed into Communicating Sequential Processes (CSP) models. After that, we invoke the verifier to check the models’ correctness w.r.t. specifications, and provide feedback based on the verification result for guiding the search process. Dynamic graphs are ubiquitous across disciplines where observations usually change over time. Regressions on dynamic graphs often contribute to diverse critical tasks, such as climate early-warning and traffic controlling. Existing homophily Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) adopt physical connections or feature similarity as adjacent matrix to perform node-level aggregations. However, on dynamic graphs with diverse node-wise relations, exploiting a pre-defined fixed topology for message passing inevitably leads to the aggregations of target-deviated neighbors. We designate such phenomenon as the topology-task discordance, which naturally challenges the homophily assumption. In this work, we revisit node-wise relationships and explore novel homophily measurements on dynamic graphs with both signs and distances, capturing multiple node-level spatial relations and temporal evolutions. We discover that advancing homophily aggregations to signed target-oriented message passing can effectively resolve the discordance and promote aggregation capacity. Therefore, a GReTo is proposed, which performs signed message passing in immediate neighborhood, and exploits both local environments and target awareness to realize high-order message propagation. Empirically, our solution achieves significant improvements against best baselines, notably improving 24.79% on KnowAir and 3.60% on Metr-LA. © 2023 11th International Conference on Learning Representations, ICLR 2023. Understanding human's emotion is a vital task in the computer science and machine learning. People could easily distinguish the genuine and posed anger while it could be difficult for computers to judge the authenticity of anger. In this paper, apart from the fully connected Neural Networks built in the previous research, methods of LSTM (Long short-term memory) Networks and Fuzzy logic classification are also built for telling the posed angers from genuine ones using limited data. Then the paper compared the performance of these three popular classification methods. Carefully designed modifications have been made on these models to increase the performance. © 2023 IEEE.

As an important information system of intelligent and connected vehicles, most In-Vehicle Infotainment systems are set up and manage the vehicles through user interaction. This paper presents a Fuzzing method IVIFUZZER for vulnerability exploitation on the operation interface of the In-Vehicle Infotainment system. With the help of automated robotic arm and improved OCR technology, collecting system leakage information and directional detection of the identified input points, 6 zero day vulnerabilities were found. The experimental results show that the proposed IVIFUZZER method is effective.

We designed a large language model evaluation system based on open-ended questions. The system accomplished multidimensional evaluation of LLMs using open-ended questions, and it presented evaluation results with evaluation reports. Currently, the evaluation of large-scale language models often exists with two prominent limitations: (1) The evaluation methods are often single-minded, resulting in less credible results. (2) Most evaluations are based on datasets with closed-ended questions, treating generative large language models as discriminative models, which fails to adequately reflect the high output flexibility characteristic of these models. For these two limitations, we proposed an evaluation system for LLMs based on open-ended questions. Our experiments on the adapted open-source datasets demonstrated the effectiveness of this system. In the field of production, the collection, transmission, and storage of production information have a significant impact on production management. This paper proposes a blockchain-based secure production information storage and management system to address the issues of incomplete information collection, unreliable data transmission, and data isolation in traditional production information management systems. The system leverages the immutability and decentralization properties of blockchain technology to enable secure and efficient storage and transmission of the data. Moreover, a 'step-hyperledger' structural mode is established for various business links in the pre-production, during-production, and post-production processes of safety production to achieve hierarchical management of data storage and full-process traceability. Combined with big data analysis techniques, the system facilitates effective pre-warning and efficient accountability after an incident. Simulation experiments and stress tests are conducted to validate the traceability interface of the system. The results indicate that the system demonstrates good stability even under the condition of multiple concurrent users, meeting the expected requirements and exhibiting certain advantages over traditional safety production systems. © 2023 IEEE.

Reinforcement learning has been successfully applied in software testing, but the existing testing methods cannot perform effective testing according to the characteristics of applications, and using outdated interactive experience during training, resulting in inefficient testing. In this paper, we propose BSDRTesting. Firstly, the demonstration experience of human users is collected according to the functional scenarios and business logic of each application, and combining reinforcement learning and imitation learning to maximize rewards while imitating user behavior, experience replay aims to sample experiences from the agent's self-exploration and expert demonstrations to improve sampling efficiency. At the same time, according to the input rules, the black-box testing method is used to fully test the input events, and finally an experience filtering mechanism is proposed, and the reward value and TD-Error are used as the basis for priority sampling. The experimental results on 10 open source applications show BSDRTesting has achieved significant improvements in code coverage and branch coverage compared with existing methods. © 2023 IEEE.

Trace data is crucial for system observability and maintainability within microservices architectures, and many operation algorithms depend heavily on trace data, including anomaly detection, root cause analysis, etc. However, the actual performance of these algorithms might be unsatisfactory due to the absence of high-quality labeled datasets for effective training and evaluation. Since billions of traces could be generated daily for large-scale microservices, labeling overhead is the main hurdle to obtaining high-quality trace *** this paper, we propose LabelEase, a novel semi-Automatic trace labeling tool, which uses active learning techniques to achieve efficient and accurate trace labeling. For anomaly trace labeling, LabelEase clusters similar traces with a graph-based trace representation technique and selects a few representative traces for human labeling, avoiding labeling most of the traces. For root cause labeling, LabelEase aggregates the labeled anomalous traces and identifies the service's failures for operators to label. Our systematic experiments on two large-scale datasets show that LabelEase achieves over 0.98 F1-score in anomaly trace labeling and 0.89 precision of failure detection in root cause labeling, LabelEase can reduce operators' labeling overhead by more than 99.9%. To the best of our knowledge, we are the first to propose a semi-Automatic trace labeling tool capable of achieving efficient and accurate trace labeling. © 2024 IEEE.

As the global population continues to age, there is a concurrent rise in the number of individuals experiencing cognitive impairment and dementia, underscoring the critical necessity to address their hospice needs and quality of life concerns. Numerous studies have underscored the positive impact of exposure to outdoor environments on their overall condition and well-being. However, cognitive challenges often hinder their capacity to perform basic tasks independently, necessitating frequent assistance from onsite professionals. Complicating matters further, the complexity of outdoor settings often results in difficulties in identifying and recognizing personnel. This paper introduces Profinder, a system designed to assist individuals with cognitive impairment in identifying occupational personnel at specific outdoor locations and accessing essential assistance. Utilizing advanced deep learning techniques, Profinder seamlessly integrates foreground and background information, incorporates attention mechanisms, and harnesses siamese networks for efficient information decoupling, thereby achieving occupational recognition on smart mobile devices with an accuracy rate exceeding 90%. Additionally, a meticulously curated dataset dedicated to occupation recognition was devel0oped to facilitate and validate this research endeavor. By providing a robust auxiliary tool for individuals with cognitive impairment, this research endeavors to enhance their autonomy and overall quality of life, while also laying a solid foundation for further exploration and innovation in this burgeoning field, both within academia and industry. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.
