Every patient has health record, it was written as statement of patient's conditions, treatments, and medications, and nowadays it is become digitalized, it can be copied and shared easily, but the nature of EHR is private, not for public, private between patients and healthcare provider. Privacy preserving can be done by implementing Blockchain network for storing EHR, only authorized users or nodes can access and write data to the network. New block in blockchain created as per consensus among nodes, every node can join a blockchain network if it is public, to meet a consensus required resources intensive cryptographic challenge, in private blockchain, only selected can join and involved in the network or specific transaction. In healthcare, data privacy is the main concerned, need a secure, scalable, and efficient blockchain hence implementing consortium blockchain is perfect match for EHR where multiple healthcare provider can operate in a single platform to conduct transaction or sharing EHR among members. This study analyzes 15 articles derived from IEEE Explore, Science Direct and Scopus by implementing screening with keyword Consortium Blockchain and EHR and proposing new blockchain model accommodating solution for challenges on access, storage, sharing, privacy, and performance.

The revolution of technologies and communications pushed for smarter applications and services. A smart university has become a target for educational institutions in many countries in the last few years. The smart-university provides many advantages in all aspects: academic, administrative, and research. Transformation to a smart university will save time, effort, and cost, in addition to increasing the quality of services, users' satisfaction, and sustainability. This research provided reviewing study for the most important standards, services, applications, and tools that must be present in smart universities. Then, the research proposed a framework to transform universities into smart ones. In recent years, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) is considered one of the leading countries in the field of digital transformation. People increasingly prioritize a balanced diet to enhance well-being, yet making informed dietary choices remains challenging amidst the abundance of options. To address this, we developed a meal image recognition and healthy meal combination recommender system, integrating generative artificial intelligence (AI). Convolutional neural networks were used for precise meal image recognition to identify diverse food items. The generative AI-augmented recommendation engine offers personalized meal suggestions aligned with nutritional goals and dietary preferences, utilizing a nutrition knowledge base to ensure overall well-being. The system's feasibility was validated, illustrating its excellence in meal recognition accuracy, recommendation diversity, and user engagement. By integrating generative AI, the system shows its potential to enhance dietary recommendations and public health.

This study introduces a simple yet effective method for identifying similar data points across non-free text domains, such as tabular and image data, using Large Language Models (LLMs). Our two-step approach involves data point summarization and hidden state extraction. Initially, data is condensed via summarization using an LLM, reducing complexity and highlighting essential information in sentences. Subsequently, the summarization sentences are fed through another LLM to extract hidden states, serving as compact, feature-rich representations. This approach leverages the advanced comprehension and generative capabilities of LLMs, offering a scalable and efficient strategy for similarity identification across diverse datasets. We demonstrate the effectiveness of our method in identifying similar data points on multiple datasets. Additionally, our approach enables non-technical domain experts, such as fraud investigators or marketing operators, to quickly identify similar data points tailored to specific scenarios, demonstrating its utility in practical applications. In general, our results open new avenues for leveraging LLMs in data analysis across various domains. © 2024, CC BY.

The work proposes the improvement of queue management priority-based Traffic Engineering method. It is based on the interaction prediction principle to coordinate decisions at various levels. The lower level of calculations is responsible, firstly, for the distribution and aggregation of packet flows between the macro queues and sub-queues organized on the router interface (congestion management task), and, secondly, for the balanced distribution of interface bandwidth among sub-queues, weighted relative to their priorities (resource allocation task). The upper level of the method's calculations is accountable for distributing the interface's bandwidth between macro queues by performing the iterative procedure. The numerical research results of the proposed two-level queue management method confirmed its effectiveness in ensuring high scalability, balanced priority- based distribution of packet flows and interface bandwidth between the macro queues and sub-queues organized on it. The method demonstrated high coordination procedure convergence and the final quality of centralized calculations. © 2022 IEEE.

Intellectual Property Rights are fundamental to drive technological progress and economic growth. However, based on the 2022 Global Innovation Index (GII), Indonesia experienced a decline in the patent innovation output index by 58%. which indicates problems in the utilization and management of IPR. Universities as knowledge generators are essential in increasing patents in Indonesia but have yet to be fully optimized. This study aims to develop a digital knowledge collaboration platform model. This study produces a digital knowledge collaboration model using the Soft Systems Methodology (SSM) approach. This study produces four main features of the digital knowledge collaboration model: Knowledge Sharing, Collaborative Research, Intellectual Property Management, and Legal and Regulatory Support. The main contribution of this study is to produce a conceptual model of digital knowledge collaboration and use case diagrams that universities can use as the primary foundation in developing a digital knowledge collaboration platform that lecturers, external partners, and the government can utilize.

The increasing use of IoT devices on future networks is very helpful for humans in their lives. However, the increase in devices connected to IoT networks also increases the potential for attacks against those networks. Vulnerabilities in Internet of Things (IoT) networks can be exposed at any time. Artificial intelligence can be used to protect the IoT network by being able to detect attacks on the network so that they can be prevented. In this study, network detection was carried out using the Deep Neural Network (DNN) algorithm. The test was carried out using the UNSW Bot-IoT dataset with a comparison of training data of 75% of the overall data. The results obtained show the ability of the algorithm to detect attacks on average with 99.999% accuracy. The validation loss and training loss look very small. In this study, there is a validation loss that still occurs in overfitting, but the difference is very small. © 2022 IEEE.

Fiber optic-based sensors have experimented with significant technological advances in the last two decades. Distributed acoustic sensors represent their most recent iteration. This sensing technology become all the cable length into a sensor, a favorable condition for seismic studies. Data preprocessing is a crucial step in this study, in which the seismic signals captured by optical interrogators must be converted to the apparent velocity of particles that sensitized the fiber. Amongst the main conversion algorithms, the ones based on Fourier Transforms are more adopted at large-scale surveys. This paper presents an algorithm implementation for this conversion, based on the 2D Fourier Transform, in a small-scale laboratory investigation. The results are favorable and show that it is a possible use. It brings more definition to individualizing first break time arrivals, equalizing signal amplitude, and aligning oscillation peaks, essential parameters for applying reflections and refraction methods in seismic studies.

The absence of requirement documents or incompatibility of the requirement documents with existing software can be a problem in developing or maintaining software. Without knowing things that become requirements can cause software as a product that fails because it does not meet customer desires. One of the main problems in developing or maintaining software is that developers do not know the entity relational schema of the software. So developers will prefer to rebuild from scratch. This paper discusses database reconstruction from SQL to entity relational diagrams by identifying the primary and foreign keys of SQL sampling. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

MathSpeech: Leveraging Small LMs for Accurate Conversion in Mathematical Speech-to-Formula

In various academic and professional settings, such as mathematics lectures or research presentations, it is often necessary to convey mathematical expressions orally. However, reading mathematical expressions aloud without accompanying visuals can significantly hinder comprehension, especially for those who are hearing-impaired or rely on subtitles due to language barriers. For instance, when a presenter reads Euler’s Formula, current Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) models often produce a verbose and error-prone textual description (e.g., e to the power of i x equals cosine of x plus i side of x), instead of the concise LATEX format (i.e., eix = cos(x) + isin(x)), which hampers clear understanding and communication. To address this issue, we introduce MathSpeech, a novel pipeline that integrates ASR models with small Language Models (sLMs) to correct errors in mathematical expressions and accurately convert spoken expressions into structured LATEX representations. Evaluated on a new dataset derived from lecture recordings, MathSpeech demonstrates LATEX generation capabilities comparable to leading commercial Large Language Models (LLMs), while leveraging fine-tuned small language models of only 120M parameters. Specifically, in terms of CER, BLEU, and ROUGE scores for LATEX translation, MathSpeech demonstrated significantly superior capabilities compared to GPT-4o. We observed a decrease in CER from 0.390 to 0.298, and higher ROUGE/BLEU scores compared to GPT-4o. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.
