Mariposa Christia Vespertilionis (MCV) or also known as butterfly wing leaves, is popular in the traditional medicine practice. The objective of this study is to optimize the antioxidant components (based on antioxidant activity analysis) from the MCV leaves extract using Supercritical Fluid Extraction (SFE) based on different temperature, pressure, and particle size via Response Surface Methodology (RSM). Besides that, it is also to evaluate the optimal condition of different extracting antioxidant activity from MCV leaves using design Expert 10 software. The condition range for both pressure and temperature were between 150-350 bar and 30-70 °C with constant extraction time. The size of particle samples were between 63 μm-1000 μm. The antioxidant was analyzed using UV–vis Spectrophotometer (UV-vis). The lowest antioxidant activity was 8.20 % and higher antioxidant activity was obtained at 49.76 %. Lower absorbance indicated highest free radical scavenging activities. Maximum percentage (%) indicated high scavenging activities, thus higher 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) is a good indication for antioxidant. The predicted RSM optimal condition of antioxidant activity was at temperature 50 °C, pressure 282 bar, and particle size 500 μm, which the predicted antioxidant was 50.62 %. Upon verification through experiment, it was found out that the antioxidant activity value was close to the predicted value with an average error of less than 1%.

In this paper, we present a robotic prediction agent including a darkforest Go engine, a fuzzy markup language (FML) assessment engine, an FML-based decision support engine, and a robot engine for game of Go application. The knowledge base and rule base of FML assessment engine are constructed by referring the information from the darkforest Go engine located in NUTN and OPU, for example, the number of MCTS simulations and winning rate prediction. The proposed robotic prediction agent first retrieves the database of Go competition website, and then the FML assessment engine infers the winning possibility based on the information generated by darkforest Go engine. The FML-based decision support engine computes the winning possibility based on the partial game situation inferred by FML assessment engine. Finally, the robot engine combines with the human-friendly robot partner PALRO, produced by Fujisoft incorporated, to report the game situation to human Go players. Experimental results show that the FML-based prediction agent can work effectively.

This paper proposes GPU-based implementation of the personal values-based user model recommender system for improving its computation efficiency. The personal values-based user model has been proposed for recommender systems, which identifies the attributes on which a user puts high priority when evaluating an item. Its effectiveness has been shown by applying it to content-based recommender systems. Although collaborative filtering based on personal values (personal values-based collaborative filtering) is also being studied, evaluation by offline experiment with large datasets and various parameter settings requires high computational cost. Therefore, this paper proposes to implement the personal values-based collaborative filtering using CUDA for speeding up the offline experiment. This paper describes overall structure of the personal values-based collaborative filtering including leave-one-out cross validation process, and conducts an experiment using 4travel and Rakuten Travel datasets. The result shows the efficiency of the proposed method improves with the size of rating table and the number of ratings. This paper also discusses several characteristics observed in the experiment. © 2016, Fuji Technology Press. All rights reserved.

Industry 4.0 is initiated by the German government as a high level technology strategy in order to keep Germany in a global leading position in manufacturing, also intends to solve energy and aging issues in parallel. Germany has proposed the “Reference Architecture Model Industries 4.0” which is based on the regulations published by the International Electrotechnical Commission. The manifestation of Industry 4.0 can be achieved by the realization of digital factory. And it's emphasized on total integration with Cyber Physical system as its core technology, via Internet of Things to realize the operational environment of human machine interaction, and the utilization of Big Data for decision making. The research motivation of this thesis is to utilize Totally Integrated Automation Portal as a digital factory software development platform, to achieve the fundamental educational requirements of digital factory, and to understand Industry 4.0 concept. Methodology of this research is based on a set of experimental and training mechanism, the sequence of machine movements is controlled by a Programmable Logic Controller, and this PLC has to be complied with IEC61131 International Standard. Regarding communication technology also to be complied with IEC61158 and IEC62541 e.g. PROFINET and OPC UA protocol. And finally realizing the operational environment of human machine interaction via smart phone according to the outcome of this research, it has been shown that total integration concept can be realized by single production machine. By standardization of factory environment and increasing the level of operational environment of human machine interaction, productivity and quality of production could be significantly increased. PLC could be used to analyze intelligent platform and comply with the Industry 4.0 standard at the same time.

In this paper, we demonstrate the application of Fuzzy Markup Language (FML) to construct an FML-based Dynamic Assessment Agent (FDAA), and we present an FML-based Human-Machine Cooperative system (FHMCS) for the game of Go. The proposed FDAA comprises an intelligent decision-making and learning mechanism, an intelligent game bot, a proximal development agent, and an intelligent agent. The intelligent game bot is based on the open-source code of Facebook's Darkforest, and it features a representational state transfer application programming interface mechanism. The proximal development agent contains a dynamic assessment mechanism, a GoSocket mechanism, and an FML engine with a fuzzy knowledge base and rule base. The intelligent agent contains a GoSocket engine and a summarization agent that is based on the estimated win rate, real-time simulation number, and matching degree of predicted moves. Additionally, the FML for player performance evaluation and linguistic descriptions for game results commentary are presented. We experimentally verify and validate the performance of the FDAA and variants of the FHMCS by testing five games in 2016 and 60 games of Google's Master Go, a new version of the AlphaGo program, in January 2017. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed FDAA can work effectively for Go applications. Copyright © 2017, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Machine learning has become a very popular approach for cybernetics systems, and it has always been considered important research in the Computational Intelligence area. Nevertheless, when it comes to smart machines, it is not just about the methodologies. We need to consider systems and cybernetics as well as include human in the loop. The purpose of this article is as follows: (1) To integrate the open source Facebook AI Research (FAIR) DarkForest program of Facebook with Item Response Theory (IRT), to the new open learning system, namely, DDF learning system;(2) To integrate DDF Go with Robot namely Robotic DDF Go system;(3) To invite the professional Go players to attend the activity to play Go games on site with a smart machine. The research team will apply this technology to education, such as, playing games to enhance the children concentration on learning mathematics, languages, and other topics. With the detected brainwaves, the robot will be able to speak some words that are very much to the point for the students and to assist the teachers in classroom in the future. Saving energy without causing discomfort and without de-manding human intervention is the need of the day. This paper studies the problem of image-based leader-follower formation control for mobile robots, where the controller is designed independently of the leader's motion. An adaptive control scheme, which is suitable for both omnidirectional and perspective cameras, is proposed. The proposed approach avoids the need for accurate calibration of the extrinsic parameters of the omnidirectional camera as well as the intrinsic and extrinsic parameters of perspective camera. Additionally, the coefficients of the plane where the feature point moves relative to the camera frame can be uncertain. These uncertain constant parameters are estimated using an adaptive estimator. Uniform Semi-global Practical Asymptotic Stability (USPAS) of the system is shown using the Lyapunov approach. Experimental results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme.
