A detailed analysis of the excitation inrush current bias phenomenon in the event is carried out in the context of a certain time when charging of a converter is carried out in an ultra-high voltage dC project of the Southern China Power Grid to obtain the cause of the event, which is confirmed by rTdS tests. By analysing the relationship between the moment of closing of different auxiliary contacts and the intermittent angle of the excitation inrush current, the shortest input time at which the closing resistance can play a role in weakening the excitation inrush current is proposed at different moments of closing. Finally, considering the discrete nature of circuit breaker closing, the proposed closing resistor best access time and the best closing angle, the effectiveness of the proposed strategy is verified by simulation tests. © 2022 IEEE.

data deduplication is a crucial technique in the field of data compression that aims to eliminate redundant copies of recurring data. This technique has gained significant popularity in the realm of cloud storage due to its ability to effectively reduce storage requirements and optimize bandwidth utilization. To ensure the safeguarding of sensitive data while simultaneously facilitating deduplication, researchers have put forth the concept of convergent encryption as a potential solution. This technique involves encrypting the data prior to its outsourcing, thereby enhancing the confidentiality of the information. In this work, an earnest endeavor is undertaken to formally tackle the issue of authorized data deduplication, with the aim of enhancing data security. Our approach combines the diffie-Hellman algorithm and symmetrical external decision to protect and popularize information, ensuring end-to-end encryption to encourage user adoption of cloud storage. The proposed model employs block-level deduplication and guarantees the randomness of ciphertexts by generating encryption keys using the diffie-Hellman algorithm. This method effectively counters both internal and external brute-force attacks, enhancing data security while reducing computational costs. An extensive experimentation is carried out to demonstrate that our approach is particularly beneficial in scenarios with multiple privilege sets. Overall, the proposed model offers an elaborate framework that maintains data privacy and strengthens security measures, contributing to a more efficient and secure cloud-based document search. © 2023 The Author(s)

A computational storage device (CSd) using Intel SPdK guarantees low latency and high throughput. The CSd must aid background tasks for the storage service applications (background tasks) without harming user I/O performance (foreground I/O) since the CSd is also a storage device. However, in practice, SPdK often increases foreground I/O latencies and underutilizes CPU cores in the CSd. These problems proceed from allocating foreground I/Os and background tasks to the same CPU core because SPdK processes them as the same request without distinguishing them. To tackle this, we propose a Background Task-aware Scheduler (BTS) for CSds built using SPdK. BTS solves the following problems: (i) idle CPU cores in the CSd are not used, and (ii) the latency of foreground I/O increases due to interference with background tasks. For evaluation, we implemented a key-value interface CSd using SPdK. With BTS, the results show that idle CPUs are properly used to process background tasks by guaranteeing the low latency of foreground I/O when the background tasks are set to deduplication.

Ever since the vehicle electrification era had started, lithium-ion batteries become the sole fore runner in powering the Electric Vehicles (EV). Vehicle electrification contributed vastly in public transportation which further promoted the surge in usage of EV in recent days. The EVs are deployed in different climatic environment, and user defined handling which lead the battery to undergo non-uniform degradation as it undergoes a series of charge and discharge cycles. State of Health (SoH) is an indicator to quantify the battery health. When the SoH of lithium-ion batteries deployed in EV application reaches 80% of its nominal capacity, then the battery is said to be reached its End of Life (EoL) in EV application. Such batteries, when translated in to second life applications, its SoH estimation at second life is vital information on defining the operating points of the Second Life Battery (SLB). The SoH estimation of SLB is expected to be non-destructive in nature. This article deals with the SoH estimation of pouch cells that underwent lab level testing for 100 charge and discharge cycles. The battery degradation from cycle 1 to 100 is visualized through Incremental Capacity differential Voltage (ICdV) method. Based on the degradation modes observed in the battery, the Health Indicators (HI) were summarized and the insights on dominant degradation phase can be visualized through bifurcating the operating voltage of the cell in to a particular zones of interest. This voltage band in particular, caters preliminary insights regarding the battery degradation and the same information can be translated to second life thereby reducing the cycle life testing time and efforts.

In this paper, capacitive humidity sensor was fabricated on 200mm CMOS Al Back End of Line (BEOL). Al interconnect layer with metal FOrK structure was used as electrode of the capacitor, and polyimide was used as sensing material which was filled into metal FOrK electrode structure. After fabrication, its humidity sensing performance was evaluated and compared with standard sensor, including IV curve, capacitance variation with different relative humidity (rH%), recovery time, etc. Based on the measured data, the humidity sensor device based on polyimide material can well meet the humidity measurement requirements. © 2022 IEEE.

Linear synchronous machines are adopted in the existing high-speed maglev transportation system. However, the real linear synchronous machine in maglev system is very large and expensive. In this paper, a segmented permanent magnet linear synchronous machine (PMLSM) drive prototype, aiming at deploying and verifying maglev linear motion control algorithms quickly and easily in a low-costly way, is developed and reported. Besides, a control platform specific to the prototype, based on ArM-FPGA joint architecture, is designed and implemented. Algorithms deployment and control realization are assigned into two suitable heterogeneous chips, which improves the control performances. Finally, EtherCAT network technology is introduced into the design for high precision control with low latency and good synchronization. By the experimental verification of communication and control for the prototype and platform, both of them have proved their feasibility and availability. More maglev linear motion control algorithms will be developed, deployed and verified on the prototype using the control platform in the future. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Aiming at the action phenomenon of bridge arm current differential protection after AC fault recovery of a modular multilevel converter high voltage direct current (MMC-HVdC) project, the characteristics of differential current are *** influence of temporary block strategy and dynamic characteristics of measurement system on differential current are studied, and the mechanism of differential current and the reasons for the action of bridge arm current differential protection are revealed. Based on the real-time digital physics closed-loop simulation platform, the action phenomenon of bridge arm current differential protection in the field is reproduced and the influence of the dynamic characteristics of the measurement system on the bridge arm current differential protection of the bridge arm is analyzed. The optimization measures are proposed from two aspects: the dynamic performance of the measurement system and the configuration of bridge arm current differential protection. The research results provide technical support for the design of MMC-HVdC project and the impact assessment of dynamic performance of measurement system on MMC-HVdC protection. © ACdC 2022. For internet companies, multi-dimensional KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) are crucial monitoring data and it is essential for operations and maintenance personnel to rapidly and precisely identify the attribute combination causing anomalies in these KPIs. In this paper, a model named riskroot is proposed to address the problem of small fluctuations of anomalies or the interaction of two changes that make anomalies inconspicuous and thus difficult to locate the root cause, as well as the impact of too large search space on computational efficiency. First, all elements are divided and weighted, risk score is defined to identify root causes and non-obvious abnormalities are located through cumulative weights. Then, the hierarchical data is searched iteratively and each iteration is filtered using element pruning to ensure operational efficiency. Finally, we validate the effectiveness of riskroot on multiple datasets, the experimental results show that riskroot outperforms the state-of-the-art baseline. Its F1-score is on average 3.54 % higher than the next best method. In particular, the F1-score improves by 10.1 % in more challenging localization scenarios.

recent deep learning based visual simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) methods have made significant progress. However, how to make full use of visual information as well as better integrate with inertial measurement unit (IMU) in visual SLAM has potential research value. This paper proposes a novel deep SLAM network with dual visual factors. The basic idea is to integrate both photometric factor and re-projection factor into the end-to-end differentiable structure through multi-factor data association module. We show that the proposed network dynamically learns and adjusts the confidence maps of both visual factors and it can be further extended to include the IMU factors as well. Extensive experiments validate that our proposed method significantly outperforms the state-of-the-art methods on several public datasets, including TartanAir, EuroC and ETH3d-SLAM. Specifically, when dynamically fusing the three factors together, the absolute trajectory error for both monocular and stereo configurations on EuroC dataset has reduced by 45.3% and 36.2% respectively.
