Full dC of offshore wind farms is the future development trend of large-scale offshore wind farms, however, the probability of dC line faults is high, and the use of dC circuit breakers can realise the fault ride-through of offshore full dC wind farms, improve the safe operation of the system during faults, and is one of the mainstream solutions to realise dC fault isolation. In this paper, a capacitive dC circuit breaker suitable for offshore full dC grid is proposed, which can effectively suppress the fault current by introducing a current limiting device. The topology and working principle of this circuit breaker are analysed, and the circuit breaker fault handling process is theoretically analysed. Finally, for the single-end equivalent system using capacitor-type dC circuit breaker, a simulation model is established in Matlab/Simulink software for verification, and the simulation results show that the proposed circuit breaker has a better current limiting effect and has the ability to isolate faults quickly. © 2024 IEEE.

Multi-label image recognition aims to predict all objects present in an input image. A common belief is that modeling the correlations between objects is beneficial for multi-label recognition. However, this belief has been recently challenged as label correlations may mislead the classifier in testing, due to the possible contextual bias in training. Accordingly, a few of recent works not only discarded label correlation modeling, but also advocated to remove contextual information for multi-label image recognition. This work explicitly explores label correlations for multi-label image recognition based on a principled causal intervention approach. With causal intervention, we pursue causal label correlations and suppress spurious label correlations, as the former tend to convey useful contextual cues while the later may mislead the classifier. Specifically, we decouple label-specific features with a Transformer decoder attached to the backbone network, and model the confounders which may give rise to spurious correlations by clustering spatial features of all training images. Based on label-specific features and confounders, we employ a cross-attention module to implement causal intervention, quantifying the causal correlations from all object categories to each predicted object category. Finally, we obtain image labels by combining the predictions from decoupled features and causal label correlations. Extensive experiments clearly validate the effectiveness of our approach for multi-label image recognition in both common and cross-dataset settings. © 2024 Neural information processing systems foundation. For internet companies, multi-dimensional KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) are crucial monitoring data and it is essential for operations and maintenance personnel to rapidly and precisely identify the attribute combination causing anomalies in these KPIs. In this paper, a model named riskroot is proposed to address the problem of small fluctuations of anomalies or the interaction of two changes that make anomalies inconspicuous and thus difficult to locate the root cause, as well as the impact of too large search space on computational efficiency. First, all elements are divided and weighted, risk score is defined to identify root causes and non-obvious abnormalities are located through cumulative weights. Then, the hierarchical data is searched iteratively and each iteration is filtered using element pruning to ensure operational efficiency. Finally, we validate the effectiveness of riskroot on multiple datasets, the experimental results show that riskroot outperforms the state-of-the-art baseline. Its F1-score is on average 3.54 % higher than the next best method. In particular, the F1-score improves by 10.1 % in more challenging localization scenarios. © 2023 IEEE.

To overcome the obstacles of poor feature extraction and little prior information on the appearance of infrared dim small targets, we propose a multi-domain attention-guided pyramid network (MAGPNet). Specifically, we design three modules to ensure that salient features of small targets can be acquired and retained in the multi-scale feature maps. To improve the adaptability of the network for targets of different sizes, we design a kernel aggregation attention block with a receptive field attention branch and weight the feature maps under different perceptual fields with attention mechanism. Based on the research on human vision system, we further propose an adaptive local contrast measure module to enhance the local features of infrared small targets. With this parameterized component, we can implement the information aggregation of multi-scale contrast saliency maps. Finally, to fully utilize the information within spatial and channel domains in feature maps of different scales, we propose the mixed spatial-channel attention-guided fusion module to achieve high-quality fusion effects while ensuring that the small target features can be preserved at deep layers. Experiments on public datasets demonstrate that our MAGPNet can achieve a better performance over other state-of-the-art methods in terms of the intersection of union, Precision, recall, and F-measure. In addition, we conduct detailed ablation studies to verify the effectiveness of each component in our network. © 2024, Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

This article analyzes different methods for modeling a buck regulator among the variety of voltage regulator modules from the perspective of power integrity and assesses the accuracy of power supply induced jitter (PSIJ) predictions for each buck regulator model. To compare the buck regulator modeling approaches, methods for conventional passive component modeling and behavior modeling are introduced. Four different buck regulator models are compared with measurements in terms of time-domain voltage ripple and nonlinearity. Then, each model is applied to a simulation-based system-level PSIJ prediction setup to quantify the accuracy of the buck regulator models from the perspective of PSIJ. A printed circuit board with an inverter chain powered by an external buck regulator is selected as the device under test. In the presence of power supply fluctuations due to load current injection on the buck regulator, the time interval error of the inverter is measured. The measured peak-to-peak jitter is then reproduced by various simulation setups with the different buck regulator modeling methods. Finally, the PSIJ simulation accuracy is investigated for each buck regulator model. © 2022 IEEE.

Synthetic Aperture radar (SAr) imaging has the characteristics of all-weather, all-sky time and strong ground penetration, which can obtain high resolution two-dimensional images under unfavorable conditions, and promote the construction of national defense. Highly squinted SAr has the ability to detect in the slant forward area of the carrier in advance and has strong flexibility. With the improvement of processing resolution, the amount of data increases significantly, and the real-time processing is difficult to be satisfied. This paper proposes a GPU acceleration method based on highly squinted SAr imaging algorithm, and introduces the acceleration steps of the imaging algorithm under the cooperation of CPU and GPU in detail. The results show that, under the GPU operation, especially the acceleration ratio of range migration correction exceeds 80, the imaging efficiency is significantly improved, which has high practical value. © 2023 IEEE.

An MPPT control strategy based on the combination of adaptive nonlinear mutation particle swarm optimization algorithm is proposed. The algorithm uses the tanh function to control the inertia weight, balances the ability of particles to optimize globally and locally, uses the ISrU function to control the learning factor, balances the weight relationship between individual learning and social learning, and improves the convergence speed of the algorithm. The nonlinear Cauchy mutation operation is proposed to expand the scope of optimization;Finally, the perturbation and observation method is used to track locally near the maximum power point to reduce power oscillation. The simulation validates that the photovoltaic MPPT control strategy based on the improved particle swarm algorithm can effectively get the maximum power point under shading conditions and improve the output efficiency of the PV array. © 2024 IEEE.

Ever since the vehicle electrification era had started, lithium-ion batteries become the sole fore runner in powering the Electric Vehicles (EV). Vehicle electrification contributed vastly in public transportation which further promoted the surge in usage of EV in recent days. The EVs are deployed in different climatic environment, and user defined handling which lead the battery to undergo non-uniform degradation as it undergoes a series of charge and discharge cycles. State of Health (SoH) is an indicator to quantify the battery health. When the SoH of lithium-ion batteries deployed in EV application reaches 80% of its nominal capacity, then the battery is said to be reached its End of Life (EoL) in EV application. Such batteries, when translated in to second life applications, its SoH estimation at second life is vital information on defining the operating points of the Second Life Battery (SLB). The SoH estimation of SLB is expected to be non-destructive in nature. This article deals with the SoH estimation of pouch cells that underwent lab level testing for 100 charge and discharge cycles. The battery degradation from cycle 1 to 100 is visualized through Incremental Capacity differential Voltage (ICdV) method. Based on the degradation modes observed in the battery, the Health Indicators (HI) were summarized and the insights on dominant degradation phase can be visualized through bifurcating the operating voltage of the cell in to a particular zones of interest. This voltage band in particular, caters preliminary insights regarding the battery degradation and the same information can be translated to second life thereby reducing the cycle life testing time and efforts. © 2023 IEEE.

With the rapid development of UHV AC / dC hybrid power grid, in order to cope with the large-scale access of new energy, the power market reform has been continuously promoted. Therefore, it is proposed to build a new generation of dispatching technical support system to meet the needs of future power system development and safe, stable and high-quality operation. This paper proposes a simplified service bus that supports a new generation of service-oriented architecture, and meets the deployment characteristics of cloud terminals that are cross platform, lightweight, easy to deploy, open and efficient. The simplified service bus can well meet the location independent characteristics and be easily deployed in and out of the system. The flexible protocol processing mode cooperating with the gateway can meet the needs of accessing the services of the system and external systems. At the same time, it supports multiple man-machine network and automatic switching of service network shutdown under N-1 mode, which greatly improves the availability and stability of the system, Which Provide a strong guarantee for the safe, stable and efficient operation of the new generation system. © 2022 IEEE.
