The paper deals with a fiber-optical tomographic problem showed for monitoring marine hydro-engineering constructions controlled by fiber-optical measuring networks comprising fiber-optical lines/links. The study presents the description of a packing diagram of fiber-optical measuring lines in three directions. The paper also illustrates the results of a mathematical calculation of recovery (backing up) of binary action performed by algebraic methods. Using such fiber-optical measuring lines is possible on surfaces with a complicated, arbitrary profile, whereas fiber-optical element/component base (software) allows using them for security monitoring of especially dangerous Class I and II hydro-engineering constructions. © 2023 IEEE.

Industry 4.0 refers to the fourth evolution of technology development,which strives to connect people to various industries in terms of achieving their expected outcomes ***,resource management in an Industry 4.0 network is very complex and *** manage and provide suitable resources to each service,we propose a FogQSYM(Fog—Queuing system)model;it is an analytical model for Fog Applications that helps divide the application into several layers,then enables the sharing of the resources in an effective way according to the availability of memory,bandwidth,and network *** follows theMarkovian queuing model that helps identify the service rates of the devices,the availability of the system,and the number of jobs in the Industry 4.0 systems,which helps applications process data with a reasonable response *** experiment is conducted using a Cloud Analyst simulator with multiple segments of datacenters in a fog application,which shows that the model helps efficiently provide the arrival resources to the appropriate services with a low response *** implementing the proposed model with different sizes of fog services in Industry 4.0 applications,FogQSYM provides a lower response time than the existing optimized response time *** should also be noted that the average response time increases when the arrival rate increases.

Ensuring robots can move safely and adhere to social norms in dynamic human environments is a crucial step towards robot autonomous decision-making. In existing work, double serial separate modules are generally used to capture spatial and temporal interactions, respectively. However, such methods lead to extra difficulties in improving the utilization of spatio-temporal features and reducing the conservatism of navigation policy. In light of this, this paper proposes a spatiotemporal transformer-based policy optimization algorithm to more effectively preserve the human-robot interactions. Specifically, a gated embedding mechanism is introduced to effectively fuses the spatial and temporal representations by integrating both modalities at the feature level. Then Transformer is leveraged to encode the spatio-temporal semantic information, with the hope of finding the optimal navigation policy. Finally, a combination of spatio-temporal Transformer and self-adjusting policy entropy significantly reduce the conservatism of navigation policies. Experimental results demonstrate the priority of the proposed algorithm over the state-of-the-art methods. © 2023 IEEE.

Abnormal formation of cells in a layer. The brain is known as the brain cancer complex, and a brain cancer detection system is needed to detect cancer in its early stages Phase. As a result, the primary goal of this initiative is to assist existing doctors in their training for the early identification o f brain cancer by utilizing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), which is the most effective approach to identifying brain cancer. This system is done through four components, and it has made it easier to detect brain tumors. These techniques with different image processing techniques include noise removal, segmentation, classification, a nd u se o fa nalysis segments f or detection. Pre-processing techniques prepare the image for further processing by removing image noise. During segmentation, the brain tumor system determines the size of the brain tumor and estimates its size. Specialists should examine them and classify brain tumors as meningiomas, gliomas, and pituitary tumors. In analysis, this component is expected to be designed so that users or medical experts can know the future through a dashboard. We explored the methodology of using generative adversarial networks (GANs) implemented in TensorFlow to denominate brain tumor images. Analyses the outcomes of various types of established deep learning models on the brain tumor MR image datasets, such as classification methods ResNet-50, VGG 16, CNN, and Inception V3. The validation precision, AUC, recall, and validation loss for CNN are 95.3%, 99.43%, 92.1 %, and 0.360 adjustments respectively.

The occurrence of geological disasters can have a large impact on urban safety. Protecting people’s safety is the most important concern when disasters occur. Safety improvement requires a large amount of comprehensive and representative risk analysis and a large collection of information related to geological hazards, including unstructured knowledge and experience. To address the relevant information and support safety risk analysis, a geological hazard knowledge graph is developed automatically based on computer vision and domain-geoscience ontology to identify geological hazards from input images while obeying safety rules and regulations, even when affected by changes. In the implementation of the knowledge graph, we design an ontology schema of geological disasters based on a top-down approach, and by organizing knowledge as a logical semantic expression, it can be shared using ontology technologies and therefore enable semantic interoperability. computer vision approaches are then used to automatically detect a set of entities and attributes, using the data from input images, and object types and their attributes are identified so that they can be stored in Neo4j for reasoning and searching. Finally, a reasoning model for geological hazard identification was developed using the Neo4j database to create nodes, relationships, and their properties for modeling, and geological hazards in the images can be automatically identified by searching the Neo4j database. An application on geological hazard is presented. The results show the effectiveness of the proposed approach in terms of identifying possible potential hazards in geological hazards and assisting in formulating targeted preventive measures.

Vision language models (VLMs) have achieved impressive progress in diverse applications, becoming a prevalent research direction. In this paper, we build FIRE, a feedback-refinement dataset, consisting of 1.1M multi-turn conversations that are derived from 27 source datasets, empowering VLMs to spontaneously refine their responses based on user feedback across diverse tasks. To scale up the data collection, FIRE is collected in two components: FIRE-100K and FIRE-1M, where FIRE-100K is generated by GPT-4V, and FIRE-1M is freely generated via models trained on FIRE-100K. Then, we build FIRE-Bench, a benchmark to comprehensively evaluate the feedback-refining capability of VLMs, which contains 11K feedback-refinement conversations as the test data, two evaluation settings, and a model to provide feedback for VLMs. We develop the FIRE-LLaVA model by fine-tuning LLaVA on FIRE-100K and FIRE-1M, which shows remarkable feedback-refining capability on FIRE-Bench and outperforms untrained VLMs by 50%, making more efficient user-agent interactions and underscoring the significance of the FIRE dataset. © 2024 Neural information processing systems foundation. VAGeo: View-specific Attention for Cross-View Object Geo-Localization

Cross-view object geo-localization (CVOGL) aims to locate an object of interest in a captured ground- or drone-view image within the satellite image. However, existing works treat ground-view and drone-view query images equivalently, overlooking their inherent viewpoint discrepancies and the spatial correlation between the query image and the satellite-view reference image. To this end, this paper proposes a novel View-specific Attention Geo-localization method (VAGeo) for accurate CVOGL. Specifically, VAGeo contains two key modules: view-specific positional encoding (VSPE) module and channel-spatial hybrid attention (CSHA) module. In object-level, according to the characteristics of different viewpoints of ground and drone query images, viewpoint-specific positional codings are designed to more accurately identify the click-point object of the query image in the VSPE module. In feature-level, a hybrid attention in the CSHA module is introduced by combining channel attention and spatial attention mechanisms simultaneously for learning discriminative features. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that the proposed VAGeo gains a significant performance improvement, i.e., improving acc@0.25/acc@0.5 on the CVOGL dataset from 45.43%/42.24% to 48.21%/45.22% for ground-view, and from 61.97%/57.66% to 66.19%/61.87% for drone-view. Underwater image enhancement (UIE) focuses on mitigating image quality degradation due to light absorption and scattering. However, most existing methods enhance images via a global and uniform manner, neglecting the inherent semantic information in different regions, which may cause the network to easily deviate from the region’s original color. Moreover, these methods typically rely on clear images to guide network convergence, a process constrained by the limited availability of real-world datasets, making it extremely challenging to train enhancement models for various degradations. To address these challenges, this paper introduces a semantic guidance and region contrastive constraints network (SRCNet). Initially, we propose a semantic-aware RWKV (Receptance Weighted Key Value) block and a semantic prompt regularization module. These components leverage intra-target semantic correlations to preserve image details and colors within a global perceptual framework, while employing focal loss to emphasize the restoration of severely degraded regions. Subsequently, we introduce a region contrastive learning method that effectively utilizes negative samples to precisely capture features sensitive to degradation factors, thereby fostering robust feature distributions. Finally, experimental results demonstrate that our method outperforms existing state-of-the-art (SOTA) approaches.

Event-based Video Person Re-identification via Cross-Modality and Temporal Collaboration

Video-based person re-identification (ReID) has become increasingly important due to its applications in video surveillance applications. By employing events in video-based person ReID, more motion information can be provided between continuous frames to improve recognition accuracy. Previous approaches have assisted by introducing event data into the video person ReID task, but they still cannot avoid the privacy leakage problem caused by RGB images. In order to avoid privacy attacks and to take advantage of the benefits of event data, we consider using only event data. To make full use of the information in the event stream, we propose a Cross-Modality and Temporal Collaboration (CMTC) network for event-based video person ReID. First, we design an event transform network to obtain corresponding auxiliary information from the input of raw events. Additionally, we propose a differential modality collaboration module to balance the roles of events and auxiliaries to achieve complementary effects. Furthermore, we introduce a temporal collaboration module to exploit motion information and appearance cues. Experimental results demonstrate that our method outperforms others in the task of event-based video person ReID. Copyright © 2025, The Authors. All rights reserved.
