This paper investigates the time-efficient covert multicast in an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)-enabled wireless communication system, where the UAV disseminates a common covert information to multiple ground users (GUs) suffering from the detection of a ground warden (Willie). We first propose two effective multicast group (MG) construction algorithms to group all GUs into multiple MGs, and then develop a theoretical framework for the performance modeling of each MG in terms of its detection error probability and transmission time. We further explore the optimal setting of covert transmit power for each MG to achieve the minimum transmission time in the MG. By integrating the aforementioned components, we thus devise a complete and time-efficient covert multicast transmission protocol for the concerned system. Finally, we provide extensive numerical results to illustrate the efficiency of the new multicast transmission protocol in comparison with the simple point-to-point transmission. © 2024, The Authors. Edge intelligent computing is often combined with the tasks of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). Most applications of UAV require the location and identity information of human targets. Traditional human target detection and face recognition algorithms require a lot of time in edge intelligent computing. In addition, the final recognition result is not accurate enough. To this end, this paper proposes an improved YOLOV5-Cozy target detection algorithm to detect human targets and faces in a fast and accurate way. The algorithm uses MobileNetV3, depthwise separable convolution and shuffleconv to improve the original YOLOV5 (You Only Look Once version 5) algorithm. Compared with the original algorithm, the improved algorithm has an average detection accuracy drop of less than 5%, and its calculation time has been reduced by 20%. In terms of face recognition, we use the FaceNet algorithm with the addition of a face augmentation module. The module enhances the face recognition ability of the FaceNet algorithm in different environments, and the accuracy of face recognition has increased by 20%. We implement the proposed algorithm on the embedded computer Jetson Agx Xavier for UAV edge intelligent computing, and the average FPS achieves at about 23.6. © 2021 IEEE.

Multi-Instance Learning (MIL) is a weakly supervised learning paradigm, in which every training example is a labeled bag of unlabeled instances. In typical MIL applications, instances are often used for describing the features of regions/parts in a whole object, e.g., regional patches/lesions in an eye-fundus image. However, for a (semantically) complex part the standard MIL formulation puts a heavy burden on the representation ability of the corresponding instance. To alleviate this pressure, we still adopt a bag-of-instances as an example in this paper, but extract from each instance a set of representations using 1 times1 convolutions. The advantages of this tactic are two-fold: i) This set of representations can be regarded as multi-view representations for an instance;ii) Compared to building multi-view representations directly from scratch, extracting them automatically using 1 times1 convolutions is more economical, and may be more effective since 1 times1 convolutions can be embedded into the whole network. Furthermore, we apply two consecutive multi-instance pooling operations on the reconstituted bag that has actually become a bag of sets of multi-view representations. We have conducted extensive experiments on several canonical MIL data sets from different application domains. The experimental results show that the proposed framework outperforms the standard MIL formulation in terms of classification performance and has good interpretability. © 2022 IEEE.

The increasing energy consumption in cloud-based systems has led to concerns about the environmental impact and cost-effectiveness of such cloud-based systems. To address this issue, researchers have proposed various techniques for improving the energy efficiency of cloud-based systems, including load balancing. Geographical load balancing is a unique technique that distributes the workload across data centers based on their proximity to users, thus reducing the distance that data must travel and minimizing energy consumption. This paper presents a unique geographical load balancing system Durga, that is proven to be efficient and energy-saving. First, the paper comprehensively reviews the literature on geographical load balancing, including its implementation, benefits, and limitations. Then, we design an algorithm that reduces the time to resolve the target data center location to serve the request. In this way, it becomes easier for the data center engineers to route the data packets efficiently reducing the time to access data and thus saving energy. To make this research as realistic as possible, we used Apache Jmeter to simulate real-life scenarios. Finally, using the Haversine formula, we explore Orthodromic Distance and calculate the distance between the user and the data center location. The findings suggest that geographical load balancing can significantly reduce the energy consumption of cloud-based systems and improve their overall performance. The paper also highlights challenges and future research directions, including the need for more advanced algorithms to optimize load balancing and minimize energy consumption.

Research on fake news has gained significant traction in a number of fields, We describe how the issue is tackled from a natural language processing standpoint in this research with the aim of developing identify false material in news. Collecting high-quality data, such as examples of false and actual news stories on a diverse range of subjects, is the key obstacle in this field of study. We examine the available before introducing the site as our lab's gift to the . We provide the whole text of the news that have already been applied based on human evaluation of the articles' authenticity. In order to clarify the gaps and causes of imbalance in the datasets that are now accessible and to direct ongoing attempts, we also conduct an appearance-based experiment. Multi-level graph contrastive learning for cold-start recommendation in mashup development

One longstanding challenge in cloud API recommender systems is the Mashup cold-start problem, i.e., to recommend suitable cloud APIs for new Mashups without any historical invocation records. To address this challenge, researchers typically integrate various auxiliary information and feed them into a supervised learning model, or provide contextual information beyond interaction behaviors via explicit graph connections. However, these researches fail to 1) explore the functionally complementary relationship between Mashups and cloud APIs, and 2) model their semantic associations. To this end, we propose a Multi-level Graph Contrastive Learning, namely MGCL. Unlike traditional single-view methods, we comprehensively model Mashup-API relationships from three views: interaction, functionally complementary, and semantics. The interaction view captures dynamic behaviors, while the other two reveal associations based on static attributes. Additionally, we design a multi-level graph contrastive learning mechanism to fuse information from these views in a self-supervised manner, enabling both cold- and warm-start Mashup representations to benefit from dynamic interaction behaviors and static attributes. Extensive experiments on real-world datasets demonstrate that MGCL outperforms state-of-the-art methods in both Mashup cold- and warm-start scenarios. Recently, deep multi-instance neural networks have been successfully applied for medical image classification, where only image-level labels rather than fine-grained patch-level labels are available for use. One key issue for these multi-instance neural networks is how to aggregate all patch (instance) features into an entire image (bag) representation, referred to as multi-instance pooling, e.g., max, mean, and attention based pooling. Nevertheless, these multi-instance pooling operations do not take the structural information within an image into account. This is obviously inappropriate for medical image classification since there often exist certain dependencies among regional patches/lesions. We propose an adaptive recurrent pooling based deep multi-instance neural network in this paper. In this network, we first extract multi-view global structural features from every bag using the self-attention mechanism, and then aggregate these multi-view features into a whole bag representation based on the adaptive recurrent pooling operation in order to further capture the contextual information within the bag. Moreover, we introduce the cross-normalization operation used in the Unit Force Operated Vision Transformer into the self-attention module to reduce its computational complexity. We have experimentally evaluated the performance of the proposed network on three medical image datasets, namely UCSB breast, Messidor, and Colon cancer. The results demonstrate the advantage of our network over current state-of-the-art deep multi-instance networks in terms of classification accuracy and interpretability. © 2022 IEEE.

ControlNet has significantly advanced controllable image generation by integrating dense conditions (such as depth and canny edges) with text-to-image diffusion models. However, ControlNet’s integration requires an additional amount nearly equal to half of the base diffusion model’s parameters, making it inefficient. To address this, we introduce Simple-ControlNet, an efficient and streamlined network for controllable text-to-image generation. It employs a single-scale projection layer to incorporate condition information into the denoising U-Net. It is supplemented by Low-Rank Adapter (LoRA) parameters to facilitate condition learning. Impressively, Simple-ControlNet requires fewer than 3 million parameters for the control mechanism, substantially less than the 300 million needed by ControlNet. Our extensive experiments confirm that Simple-ControlNet matches and surpasses ControlNet’s performance across a broad range of tasks and base diffusion models, showcasing its utility and efficiency. © 2025, Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (***). Web search engines are used for retrieving information but still there exists ambiguity in their retrieval process. It is so because traditional search engines laid emphasis on matching of keywords rather than maintaining semantic relations among terms lack of ability to produce precise results, presence of ambiguous keywords and verifying needs of users are few hindrances that are acting as scenario for web search engines. The paper focuses on improving search quality of users by collecting user experiences through creating hierarchical user profile it leads to collaborative search engine that helps in reaching at particular decision then the collected user's data are uploaded to recommendation server which are than displayed a search engines like Google/Yahoo.
