Monkeypox is a viral disease found in Central and West Africa, and it presents notable public health challenges due to its clinical similarity to smallpox. Recent outbreaks in over 40 countries have underscored the urgent need for quick and accurate diagnosis, especially in settings with limited resources where traditional diagnostic methods may be inadequate. This study explores the application of deep learning techniques to classify four specific types of monkeypox skin lesions. Transfer learning was employed to evaluate the performance of different models using a dataset of 770 skin lesion images. Various methods, including data augmentation and image preprocessing, were utilized to improve the effectiveness of the models. The results indicate that the custom SqueezeNet model was the most successful, achieving an accuracy of 98.85% and an F1 score of 98.89%. These results surpass previous research benchmarks across four key evaluation measures. Additionally, the model was integrated into a web-based diagnostic tool capable of reliably detecting different forms of monkeypox. This study represents a significant advancement in utilizing artificial intelligence for disease detection, offering a practical approach for early and accurate monkeypox diagnosis. The proposed system has thex potential for seamless integration into clinical practice, aiding healthcare professionals in timely interventions. © 2024 IEEE.

This study aimed to create a mobile application to promote and guide the cultural tourism attraction Phra That Nine Choms in Chiang Rai Province, Thailand. The critical information about Phra That Nine Choms is gathered and analyzed to identify the problem and user requirements. The operation of the mobile application is designed using a use case diagram, class diagram, and sequence diagram. The Java programming language creates the mobile application through the Eclipse program, Android SDK, and JAVA JDK development tools. 95 Thai and foreign tourists tested the resulting application. Their satisfaction was evaluated through a questionnaire and analyzed. The interpreting results showed that the mobile application is suitable for providing travel recommendations and can serve as a guide for future development to support tourism activities, particularly for cultural and local attractions.

In the field of autonomous driving, 3D target detection is an important technology. In view of the shortcomings of existing monocular 3D detection algorithms in terms of accuracy and real-time performance, we propose a lightweight 3D target detection algorithm based on the attention mechanism. In order to ensure the real-time performance of the model, we use depthwise separable convolutions in the backbone network. The feature maps of each scale are then connected to an EMA module, which can fuse spatial attention and cross-dimensional Coordinate attention is used to enhance the feature extraction capability of the network, and BiFPN is subsequently used for multi-scale feature fusion. Finally, experiments were conducted on the KITTI dataset, and the results showed that our algorithm was superior to other methods in both accuracy and speed.

Human–robot interface(HRI)electronics are critical for realizing robotic ***,we report graphene-based dual-function acoustic transducers for machine learning-assisted human–robot interfaces(GHRI).The GHRI functions both an artificial ear through the triboelectric acoustic sensing mechanism and an artificial mouth through the thermoacoustic sound emission *** success of the integrated device is also attributed to the multifunctional laser-induced graphene,as either triboelectric materials,electrodes,or thermoacoustic *** systematically optimizing the structure parameters,the GHRI achieves high sensitivity(4500 mV Pa^(–1))and operating durability(1000000 cycles and 60 days),capable of recognizing speech identities,emotions,content,and other information in the human *** the assistance of machine learning,30 speech categories are trained by a convolutional neural network,and the accuracy reaches 99.66%and 96.63%in training datasets and test ***,GHRI is used for artificial intelligence communication based on recognized speech *** work shows broad prospects for the development of robotic intelligence.

An image resulting from a low-resolution (LR) camera on the mobile phone has lower quality than a high-resolution(HR) camera on a DSLR. Meanwhile, the HR camera is pricing if compared with the LR camera. How to achieve a single-image quality on LR camera likewise on HR camera becomes essential research in the past years. Addressing this issue can be done by upscaling a single LR image. Recently, the super-resolution generative adversarial network (SRGAN) model is one of the state-of-the-art super-resolution(SR)models employed on single-image SR. However, implementing a deep learning model like SRGAN on a mobile device is challenging in computation power and resources. This study aims to develop a smaller and lower resources model while preserving single-image SR quality on mobile devices. To meet these objectives, we convert, quantize, and compress the SRGAN model on Snapdragon Neural Processing Engine (SNPE) as an example. We then validate the SRGAN on the DIV2K dataset on which improves the model performances. Besides, we conduct experiments on GPU, DSP environment. The experimental result confirmed that SNPE-SRGAN capable of achieves not only HR images' quality but also low latency by 0.06 second and smaller model by 1.7 Mb size running on DSP. Also, the SRGAN-DLC-Quantized running on GPU has a smaller size by 1.7 Mb and lower latency by 1.151 seconds compared with Non-quantized SRGAN-TensorFlow by 9.1 Mb and 1.608 seconds latency. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Accurately synthesizing talking face videos and capturing fine facial features for individuals with long hair presents a significant challenge. To tackle these challenges in existing methods, we propose a decomposed per-embedding Gaussian fields (DEGSTalk), a 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS)-based talking face synthesis method for generating realistic talking faces with long hairs. Our DEGSTalk employs Deformable Pre-Embedding Gaussian Fields, which dynamically adjust pre-embedding Gaussian primitives using implicit expression coefficients. This enables precise capture of dynamic facial regions and subtle expressions. Additionally, we propose a Dynamic Hair-Preserving Portrait Rendering technique to enhance the realism of long hair motions in the synthesized videos. Results show that DEGSTalk achieves improved realism and synthesis quality compared to existing approaches, particularly in handling complex facial dynamics and hair preservation. The adaptation of microservice architecture has increased massively during the last few years with the emergence of the cloud. Containers have become a common choice for microservices architecture instead of VMs (Virtual Machines) due to their portability and optimized resource usage characteristics. Along with the containers, container-orchestration platforms are also becoming an integral part of microservice-based systems, considering the flexibility and scalability offered by the container-orchestration media. With the virtualized implementation and the dynamic attribute of modern microservice architecture, it has been a cumbersome task to implement a proper observability mechanism to detect abnormal behaviour using conventional monitoring tools, which are most suitable for static infrastructures. We present a system that will collect required data with the understanding of the dynamic attribute of the system and identify anomalies with efficient data analysis methods.

Nighttime Semantic Segmentation (NSS) is essential to many cutting-edge vision applications. However, existing technologies overly rely on massive labeled data, whose annotation is time-consuming and laborious. In this paper, we pioneer a new task focusing on exploring the potential of training strategy and framework design with limited annotation to achieve high-performance NSS. Insufficient information at very low labeling budgets can easily lead to under-optimization or overfitting of the model. Our solution comprises two main components: i) a novel region-based active sampling strategy called Contextual-Aware Region Query (CARQ), which identifies highly informative target nighttime regions for labeling;and ii) an innovative Fragmentation Synergy Active Domain Adaptation framework (FS-ADA), which progressively broadcasts the limited annotation to the unlabeled regions, achieving high performance with a minimal annotation budget. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method outperforms state-of-the-art UDA-NSS & ADA-SS methods across four day-to-nighttime benchmarks, and generalizes well to foggy, rainy, & snowy scenes. In particular only with 1% target nighttime data annotation, our method is on par with the mainstream fully-supervised methods on the BDD100K-Night val dataset. In the current era of Industry 5.0, the use of technology in the business sector, namely Digital Marketing, is put to good use by business actors. With social media as a medium of communication, business actors must establish good relationships with customers so that QU (Relationship Quality) is seen with BE (Customer Behavior), EX (Customer Experience) SMA (Social Media Marketing Activity). The basis for the urgency of this research is that many business actors do not know how important QU is, even though this can be used as a benchmark for business progress. The purpose of this research is to measure QU for BE, EX, and SMA using quantitative research methods by distributing online questionnaires to all social media users in Indonesia. A total of 49 questionnaires filled out by social media users were then analyzed and model-tested using PLS (Partial Least Squares). The results obtained are the findings of the H1 - H3 Hypothesis test which is declared ”Accepted” where SMA, EX, and BE affect QU positively. The novelty of this research is the results of measurement data on BE, EX, and SMA which can be used to improve quality and marketing strategy.

This study proposed a new real-time manufacturing process monitoring method to monitor and detect process shifts in manufacturing *** real-time production process monitoring is critical in today’s smart *** more robust the monitoring model,the more reliable a process is to be under *** the past,many researchers have developed real-time monitoring methods to detect process shifts ***,thesemethods have limitations in detecting process shifts as quickly as possible and handling various data volumes and *** this paper,a robust monitoring model combining Gated Recurrent Unit(GRU)and Random Forest(RF)with Real-Time Contrast(RTC)called GRU-RF-RTC was proposed to detect process shifts *** effectiveness of the proposed GRU-RF-RTC model is first evaluated using multivariate normal and nonnormal distribution ***,to prove the applicability of the proposed model in a realmanufacturing setting,the model was evaluated using real-world normal and non-normal *** results demonstrate that the proposed GRU-RF-RTC outperforms other methods in detecting process shifts quickly with the lowest average out-of-control run length(ARL1)in all synthesis and real-world problems under normal and non-normal *** experiment results on real-world problems highlight the significance of the proposed GRU-RF-RTC model in modern manufacturing process monitoring *** result reveals that the proposed method improves the shift detection capability by 42.14%in normal and 43.64%in gamma distribution problems.
