Vision language models (VLMs) have achieved impressive progress in diverse applications, becoming a prevalent research direction. In this paper, we build FIRE, a feedback-refinement dataset, consisting of 1.1M multi-turn conversations that are derived from 27 source datasets, empowering VLMs to spontaneously refine their responses based on user feedback across diverse tasks. To scale up the data collection, FIRE is collected in two components: FIRE-100K and FIRE-1M, where FIRE-100K is generated by GPT-4V, and FIRE-1M is freely generated via models trained on FIRE-100K. Then, we build FIRE-Bench, a benchmark to comprehensively evaluate the feedback-refining capability of VLMs, which contains 11K feedback-refinement conversations as the test data, two evaluation settings, and a model to provide feedback for VLMs. We develop the FIRE-LLaVA model by fine-tuning LLaVA on FIRE-100K and FIRE-1M, which shows remarkable feedback-refining capability on FIRE-Bench and outperforms untrained VLMs by 50%, making more efficient user-agent interactions and underscoring the significance of the FIRE dataset. © 2024 Neural information processing systems foundation. The problem of SQO (Semi-join query optimization) in data-sharing environment is addressed and a Perimeter-search-based semi-join query optimization algorithm (PSSJA) is presented. The algorithm can determine optimal sequence of semi-join operations, minimize the data transmission cost, saves storage space, and reduce the search complexity in a costeffective manner. Experiment shows the efficiency of our algorithm.

This paper presents the architecture and implementation of a service for pregnancy tracking and monitoring. The main goal of the service is to analyze the behavior of pregnant women in order to proactively decide to notify medical staff when symptoms are detected that are risky for the normal pregnancy. This is achieved by (1) providing the necessary pregnancy-related information for each of the gestational weeks (nutrition, physical activity, normal and risk symptoms, necessary screening tests, etc.), (2) analysis of physical activity of pregnant women, (3) measurement and analysis of basic biological indicators using a wireless sensor network (pulse oximeter, human body temperature, biopotential channel to obtain electrocardiogram (ECG) and bioimpedance channel to measure respiration), and (4) receiving push notifications about important events related to the pregnancy;scheduled medical examinations;risk factors;and messages from the obstetrician under whose supervision the pregnant woman is. The service has a distributed architecture - it uses multiple microservices. The communication between clients (mobile app), wireless sensor network and microservices is realized through a message broker. Microservices use its own MongoDB databases hosted in the Azure cluster. Experiments were conducted to prove the feasibility of the service on simulated wireless sensor network. © 2022 IEEE.

For evolutionary multi-objective optimization algorithms (EMOAs), an external archive can be utilized for saving good solutions found throughout the evolutionary process. Recent studies showed that a solution set selected from an external archive is usually superior to the final population. That is, the incorporation of an external archive improves the performance of EMOAs. However, the computation time for maintaining an external archive is long, especially when the archive size is large. To solve this issue, a simple archiving strategy is to save all solutions generated in the last several generations. In this paper, we examine this archiving strategy for three representative EMOAs on artificial test problems (Minus-DTLZ and WFG) and real-world problems (RE). Our results show that archiving the last several generations clearly improves the performance of EMOAs without severely increasing the computation time. © 2024 IEEE.

The radar is considered as one of tracking application which we need to tracking unknown targets. This application is using a kalman filter. Also the extended and unscented kalman filter has been created to deal with nonlinear systems such as multidimensional radar tracking. If wideband radar is used, multiple return signals may be obtained by scattering on a single target in a single pulse. It is important to monitor multiple dispersions on an undefined number of artifacts in the specific problem considered, with a standard wideband radar model, whose motion involves a nonlinear rotational velocity component. The measurements used are scattered range, range-rate (in analogy to Doppler), nonlinear functions of the scattered position and velocity, with parameters in the state-space model. In order to evaluate the scene and observe its progression over time, the tracker design uses a Kalman Filter type to model the nonlinear dynamics and measurement items and a multi-pronged association scheme. © 2022 IEEE.

In recent years, there has been an increasing demand to adopt renewable energy resources to power grids for environmental issues and energy concerns. A virtual grid system, which is designed to utilize decentralized resources, is proposed as an approach. This system enables users to construct their power grids with virtual grid hubs (VG Hub) which interconnect via commercially available cables according to USB Power Delivery (USB PD). A prototype of VG Hub is capable of synthesizing and distributing DC power for connected devices, and the power flow control is managed by a microcontroller. Our previous study proposed a method called Minimum-Hop Power Path Routing (MHPPR). This method determines the power flow that uses the closest source in candidates which can fulfill the demand when a load connects to the network to minimize power loss due to transmission. However, this could result in unproductive power flow, such as a flow that consumes power stored in batteries prior to surplus power from generators. Therefore, we assumed that there are factors to value a source for a load other than demand and supply capacity, and inferred that the factor derives from the type of device. We defined this factor as the affinity between devices. The objective of this study is to solve the power path optimization problem while taking affinity into account. In this study, we discussed device classification and affinity between types and defined affinity coefficients. We then extended MHPPR by incorporating this affinity coefficient. The results have shown that the proposed method selected the sources following the priority defined by the affinity. © 2024 IEEE.

Software-defined networking(SDN)makes network agile and flexible due to its programmable *** extensive network has multiple domains in SDN for the scalability and performance of the ***,the inter-domain link is also crucial for the stability of the entire network on the data plane *** than one inter-domain connection enhances the scalability of the data plane ***,it faces a reachability problem with the principal root,which causes forwarding loops and packet drops in the network,thereby degrading network *** proposed solution is a multiple controller architecture;however,this approach increases the complexity and affects network ***,in this study,we propose a framework that avoids forwarding loops and packet drops without the synchronization of multiple-domain controllers in the network using an avoid loop with test packet ***,we collect the link status for improved routing and load balancing for the upcoming flow across inter-domain links to prevent congestion and increase throughput in real *** proposed methodology can significantly reduce the controller workload against multiple controller architecture,minimize flow setup latency,and improve throughput.

Nowadays, as a result of globalization’s impact and the fast growth of technology, it is unquestionably beneficial to our everyday activities. Developed technology enables a plethora of new conveniences not before available. Because increasingly advanced technology encourages individuals to conduct all transactions digitally and is simple to use, payment systems based on electronic money have emerged and are often utilized for daily transactions. These technical advancements also have an effect on the community’s lifestyle and payment systems, since they enable the replacement of cash payments with more efficient and convenient electronic payment systems based on electronic money (e-money). The purpose of this research is to ascertain the consequences of utilizing electronic money as a contemporary payment mechanism that is often utilized by individuals for purchasing and selling activities. Electronic money is similar to currency in that it may be carried and stored anywhere. The Internet of Things(IoT)offers a new era of connectivity,which goes beyond laptops and smart connected devices for connected vehicles,smart homes,smart cities,and connected *** massive quantity of data gathered from numerous IoT devices poses security and privacy concerns for *** the increasing use of multimedia in communications,the content security of remote-sensing images attracted much attention in academia and *** encryption is important for securing remote sensing images in the IoT ***,researchers have introduced plenty of algorithms for encrypting *** study introduces an Improved Sine Cosine Algorithm with Chaotic Encryption based Remote Sensing Image Encryption(ISCACE-RSI)technique in IoT *** proposed model follows a three-stage process,namely pre-processing,encryption,and optimal key *** remote sensing images were preprocessed at the initial stage to enhance the image ***,the ISCACERSI technique exploits the double-layer remote sensing image encryption(DLRSIE)algorithm for encrypting the *** DLRSIE methodology incorporates the design of Chaotic Maps and deoxyribonucleic acid(DNA)Strand Displacement(DNASD)*** chaotic map is employed for generating pseudorandom sequences and implementing routine scrambling and diffusion processes on the plaintext ***,the study presents three DNASD-related encryption rules based on the variety of DNASD,and those rules are applied for encrypting the images at the DNA sequence *** an optimal key generation of the DLRSIE technique,the ISCA is applied with an objective function of the maximization of peak signal to noise ratio(PSNR).To examine the performance of the ISCACE-RSI model,a detailed set of simulations were *** comparative study reported the better performance of the ISCACE-RSI model over other existing approaches.

1 Introduction Reliability is defined as the probability that a system or component will perform its required function for a specified period of time under specified operating conditions(Ebeling,2019).Traditional reliability theory assumes that both a system and its components have only two possible states in the operation stage,either perfectly functioning or completely ***,as engineered systems become more sophisticated,involving larger sizes,increased functionality,and greater intelligence,and with advancements in sensing technologies,it has been extensively observed that systems and components exhibit multiple distinct states as they deteriorate over *** failure behavior,damage severity,performance capacity,and operational efficiency of the system and components vary among these states(Lisnianski et al.,2018).It,therefore,necessitates the development of advanced reliability theories and methodologies that are capable of characterizing these systems and components with multi-state nature.
