Electromagnetic radiation (EMR) safety has always been a critical reason for hindering the development of magneticenabled wireless power transfer technology. People focus on the actual received energy at charging devices while paying attention to their health. Thus, we study this significant problem in this paper, and propose a universal safety guaranteed power-delivered-to-load (PDL) maximization scheme (called SafeGuard). Technically, we first utilize the off-the-shelf electromagnetic simulator to perform the EMR distribution analysis to ensure the universality of the method. Then, we innovatively introduce the concept of multiple importance sampling for achieving efficient EMR safety constraint extraction. Finally, we treat the proposed optimization problem as an optimal boundary point search problem from the perspective of space geometry, and devise a brand-new grid-based multi-constraint parallel processing algorithm to efficiently solve it. We implement a system prototype for SafeGuard, and conduct extensive experiments to evaluate it. The results indicate that our SafeGuard can obviously improve the achieved PDL by up to 1.75× compared with the state-of-the-art baseline while guaranteeing EMR safety. Furthermore, SafeGuard can accelerate the solution process by 29.12× compared with the traditional numerical method to satisfy the fast optimization requirement of wireless charging systems.

The Skolem Problem asks to decide whether a given integer linear recurrence sequence (LRS) has a zero term. Decidability of this problem has been open for many decades, with little progress since the 1980s. Recently, a new approach was initiated via the notion of a Skolem set - a set of positive integers relative to which the Skolem Problem is decidable. More precisely, S is a Skolem set for a class L of integer LRS if there is an effective procedure that, given an LRS in L, decides whether the sequence has a zero in S. A recent work exhibited a Skolem set for the class of all LRS that, while infinite, had density zero. Logic-based formal models of robot environments are often used to aid the generation and verification of robotic plans. They are however often simplified and rather abstract compared to the real world that the robot acts in. This can lead to considerable discrepancies between the behavior of the formal model and that of physics-based simulation engines. These discrepancies are not always apparent to the designer. In this paper we propose a new methodology to make these discrepancies explicit by combining formal verification and simulation. Our approach is able to find relevant discrepancies, while only requiring a small number of simulations.

This one-day hybrid workshop builds on previous feminist CSCW workshops to explore feminist theoretical and methodological approaches that have provided us with useful tools to see things differently and make space for change. Since its inception over a decade ago, feminist HCI has progressed from the margins to mainstream HCI, with numerous references in the literature. Feminist HCI has also evolved to incorporate other critical HCI practices such as Queer HCI, participatory design, and speculative design. While feminist approaches have grown in popularity and become mainstream, it is getting more difficult to distinguish the feminist emancipatory core from other attempts of developing and improving society in various ways. In this workshop, we therefore want to revisit our feminist roots, where theory is a liberatory and creative practice, motivated by affect, curiosity, and wonder. From this standpoint, we consider which of our feminist tools can make a significant difference today, in a highly datafied world. The goal of this workshop is to;1) create an inventory of feminist theories and concepts that have had an impact on our work as designers, educators, researchers, and activists;2) develop a feminist toolbox for the CSCW community to strengthen our feminist literacy. © 2023 Owner/Author.

Cloud storage services offer flexible, convenient solutions for business and personal users to store data. Traditionally, Third Party Auditors (TPAs) are introduced to ensure data integrity for public auditing. However, TPAs may also be untrusted for forging the auditing results or colluding with cloud storage servers to deceive users. In this paper, we propose a novel Blockchain-based Public Auditing Outsourcing system without TPAs (BPAO), in which the computationally expensive operations in public auditing are outsourced through blockchain to the cloud servers without risking users' privacy. Our security analysis indicates that BPAO achieves soundness and robustness. The experimental results show that BPAO is computationally efficient for cloud storage user. © 2021 IEEE.

Recent progress in the fabrication of Resistive Random Access Mem-ory (ReRAM) devices has paved the way for large scale crossbar structures. In particular, in-memory computing on ReRAM cross-bars helps in bridging the processor-memory speed gap for current CMOS technology. To this end, synthesis and mapping of Boolean functions to such crossbars have been investigated by researchers. However the verification of simple designs on crossbar is still done through manual inspection or sometimes complemented by sim-ulation based techniques. Clearly this is an important problem as real world designs are complex and have higher number of inputs. As a result manual inspection and simulation based methods for these designs are not practical. In this paper for the first time as per our knowledge we pro-pose an automated equivalence checking methodology for majority based in-memory designs on ReRAM crossbars. Our contributions are twofold: first, we introduce an intermediate data structure called ReRAM Sequence Graph (ReSG) to represent the logic-in-memory design. This in turn is translated into Boolean Satifiability (SAT) formulas. These SAT formulas are verified against the golden functional specification using Z3 Satifiability Modulo Theory (SMT) solver. We validate the proposed method by running widely avail-able benchmarks.

Precision agriculture is a domain in fast expansion, demanding flexible approaches to deploy customized solutions to specific needs in short time windows. In this context, this work proposes a service-oriented architecture and microservices to support Unmanned Aerial Vehicles systems development for this sector. The proposal presents a framework and middleware designed to offer modular and reusable software components with an intermediate layer to facilitate integration, communication, control, and data management between different systems in an agricultural application setting. This paper presents the design of this approach with a glance to the roadmap to its implementation.

In order to support advanced vehicular Internet-of-Things(IoT)applications,information exchanges among different vehicles are required to find efficient solutions for catering to different application requirements in complex and dynamic vehicular *** learning(FL),which is a type of distributed learning technology,has been attracting great interest in recent years as it performs knowledge exchange among different network entities without a violation of user ***,client selection and networking scheme for enabling FL in dynamic vehicular environments,which determines the communication delay between FL clients and the central server that aggregates the models received from the clients,is still *** this paper,we propose an edge computing-based joint client selection and networking scheme for vehicular *** proposed scheme assigns some vehicles as edge vehicles by employing a distributed approach,and uses the edge vehicles as FL clients to conduct the training of local models,which learns optimal behaviors based on the interaction with *** clients also work as forwarder nodes in information sharing among network *** client selection takes into account the vehicle velocity,vehicle distribution,and the wireless link connectivity between vehicles using a fuzzy logic algorithm,resulting in an efficient learning and networking *** use computer simulations to evaluate the proposed scheme in terms of the communication overhead and the information covered in learning.

Internet of Things enables devices to communicate, collect and exchange data with the network. As the number of IoT devices keeps growing, the volume of data they produce is also increasing exponentially. Given the feature of limited computing and storage resources of IoT, it is inevitable to store data in the cloud for better services. However, for users to effectively and efficiently inspect those data over the cloud is a critical and open problem. Most public integrity auditing over the cloud schemes requires the user to do a sheer amount of preprocessing work on the local devices, which is unsuitable for IoT devices. With the development of edge computing extending cloud computing, it can provide computing capability for resource-constrained devices in close geographic proximity. In this paper, we design an auditing scheme based on secure computation outsourcing assisted by edge computing, in which the data preprocessing work can be offloaded to the edge server. The experiments show that it reduces the computing load on the devices and improves the efficiency of task processing.

Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)-enabled massive multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) is an emerging platform to perform communication and sensing efficiently and flexibly. However, the existing works barely consider the radar probing tasks and neglect the benefits of the dedicated sensing signal. In this paper, we focus on joint optimizations in radar probing tasks, and a novel indicator is introduced, namely radar probing error. Two optimizations in radar probing tasks are established: i) joint transmit beamforming design for large-scale regional radar probing and communication task;ii) joint transmit beamforming and UAV trajectory design for communication enhancement and radar probing task. For the former task, we adopt both communication and novel sensing precoders to further support the MIMO radar. A semidefinite relaxation is utilized to relax the original non-convex problem, which is proven to be tight. For the latter task, we adopt block coordinate descent to alternately optimize the precoders and UAV trajectory where the fractional programming approach and successive convex approximation are further adopted. Experiment results testify the validation of the proposed methods for radar probing tasks in UAV-enabled MIMO ISAC. Moreover, results show the fundamental trade-off between the dual functions and reveal the effectiveness of the introduced sensing precoder. © 1972-2012 IEEE.
