He received the Doctor En- gineer degree (cum Laude) in Electronic Engineering from the University of Pisa. Italy in 1985. From 1986 he was with the European Space Agency (ESA). Stsliow and Communications Engineering Department. Darmrtadt (RFA) where he was involved in satellite telecommunication ground systems design and testing. In particular he followed the development of two new ESA's satellite tracking systems. In 1988 be joined the ESA's Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC). Noordwijk. The Netherlands where is holding a position as releeommunication enginm in the Electrical System Department. He is presently responsible for the definition and development of advanced satellite communication systems. His mull intenst b ddyrducd with effacnt digital modulation and access techniques for fued and mobile wtdlite services synchronization topics and communication systems simulation techniques. Carlo Elia (S'89) was born in Trepuzzi. Italy in 1964. He received the Doctor Engineer degree in Electronic Engineering from Politecnico di Torino. Torino. Italy. in 1989. He his now attending a Doctorate program at PolitanieO di Torino. S i 1990. he has been with the Eurpean Space Agency (ESA) in the Electrical System Department as Tdeeommunications Syrtcm Engineer. His main areas of interest are related to rdvanccd digital modulation and access techniques and channel equalization. R.A. (Bob) Harris (S'69–M'70) received the PhD from the University of Southampton. England in 1971. In 1970 he joined the European Space Agency (then ESRO). based at the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) Noordwijk. The Netherlandswas working on telemetry and telecommand systems. Since 1978 he has been Head of the Transmision Techniques Section in the Directorate of Telecom munications. 作者: ZAHN, PB ROSBOROUGH, J CARLSTROM, R Peter B. Zahn:is a section chief in the Naval Architecture Department at Advanced Marine Enterprises. He is responsible for software development and special trials support. He has led the Flooding Casualty Control Software (FCCS) development effort since joining AME in 1989. He is also responsible for the material handling strikedown and stowage (MHS&S) software development program as well as special trials support for the ACVLAP and T-AGOS 19 programs. Prior to joining AME Mr. Zahn spent nine years with various companies of the ARCTEC Group. His experience includes field trials in venues from the Caribbean to the Bering Sea as well as model tests and engineering design and development efforts. Mr. Zahn received his B.S. in naval architecture and marine engineering from Webb Institute in 1980 and has published various papers on pollution prevention offshore systems and icebreaker design and performance. He is a member of ASNE and SNAME. John Rosborough:has been a naval architect for the Naval Sea Systems Command (NavSea) for the past 15 years. He is currently assigned to the Hydrodynamics Division with responsibility for aircraft carrier stability evaluations and as a task leader for computer-aided ship design development. In the Stability Division he was previously responsible for stability analyses on various amphibious ships SWATHs and foreign ships. He manages the upgrade and augmentation of SHCP at NavSea and is the Navy's technical point of contact for evaluating shipboard stability software and transitioning technology to the fleet. Mr. Rosborough received his B.S. in naval architecture and marine engineering from the University of Michigan in 1977. He is a member of USNI and the Association of Scientists and Engineers at NavSea. Richard Carlstrom:is a naval architect with Advanced Marine Enterprises. He has been responsible for software development in support of a variety of major programs including FCCS and SHCP and is a specialist in stability evaluations for complex ships such as CVs CVNs

Mr. Famme joined Link in 1983 where he is responsible for developing marine products including digital control and monitoring systems for ships and submarines. Prior to joining Link then Commander Famme served in the U.S. Navy in all shipboard assignments including command of an FF-1052 class frigate. His engineering duties included supervising new construction sea trials and major mid-life ship overhauls. Mr. Famme has written concept papers defining architectures for future platform control systems and has worked within the simulation industry to introduce the use of distributed computer-based systems for training. He is currently working with various naval organizations and shipbuilding companies to develop the next generation of integrated digital control systems for ships and submarines. Barry Taylor:is the manager of marine systems at CAE Electronics Montreal Canada. CAE is currently supplying the integrated control systems for four classes of ships: the Canadian Patrol Frigate the DDH-280 the USN MHC-51 Minehunter and the SA'AR 5 corvette under construction at Litton - Ingalls Shipbuilding. Prior to joining CAE Electronics in 1987 then Commander Taylor served in the Canadian Navy as an engineering duty officer. His tours included sea duty as the engineering officer on five ships and shore duty assignments including one in the Directorate responsible for ship machinery control systems in the Canadian Navy. Commander Taylor was also the program manager for the Shipboard Integrated Machinery Control System Advanced Development Model (SHINMACS ADM). He has had numerous papers published on integrated ship control systems.

作者: RYAN, JC JONS, OP J. Christopher Ryan:earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in Naval Architecture from Webb Institute and MIT respectively. He spent three years at the Advanced Marine Technology Division of Litton Industries working on the DD-963 class ship design and related computer aided design projects. he subsequently went to the Navy Department concentrating on early stage design of surface combatants for 12 years including work on the FFG-7 Sea Control Ship CSGN and CVV aircraft carrier projects. He then shifted focus and became the technical director for the Computer Supported Design Program in NavSea for five years. Mr. Ryan has served in several supervisory positions within the Ship Design Group in NavSea since that time. He is currently the project manager for the Ship Design Acquisition and Construction Process Improvement Project. Otto P. Jons:received a Diplom Ing. in shipbuilding from the Technical University of Hannover W. Germany and an M.S. in naval architecture and marine engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1967. He then joined Litton Ship Systems where he was responsible for the preliminary design of the DD-963 hull structure and then for ship systems as manager LHA Ship Systems Engineering Department. From 1972 to 1974 he was principal research scientist at Hydronautics. In 1976 as technical director he helped establish the local office of Designers and Planners. Otto Jons was one of the co-founders of Advanced Marine Enterprises Inc. in 1976 where he is corporate vice president engineering.

作者: Halverson, Mark Ozdes, Demir Mark Halverson:received a BSEE from the University of Michigan in 1972 followed by an MS in Computer Information and Control System Engineering in 1973 also from the University of Michigan. Mr. Halverson has worked predominantly on military and aerospace design projects for such companies as Litton and Northrop. He is a specialist in inertial navigation and control systems. He has also worked with PLG Inc. as a risk analyst on various projects including commercial military and space applications. Since 1986 Mr. Halverson is an aerospace consultant working in Europe where he among other activities codeveloped the BRAT probabilistic risk analysis program. Demir Ozdes:received his BSEE from Purdue University in 1958 and his MSEE from the University of Arizona in 1963. He has over 35 years of experience in electronic design system engineering optimal control system design and analysis as well as in the design analysis and simulation of synergistic navigation systems. He has worked at Northrop Teledyne SPC TRW and Litton. Since 1984 he has been a private consultant in the aerospace field in Europe and is co-holder of patents as well as being a co-developer of the BRAT probabilistic risk analysis program.
