Influence of donor age on liver transplantation outcomes: A multivariate analysis and comparative study

This paper proposes a rumor control model based on community immunization. Based on the community division and the trust network inference algorithm, the model redefines the standard to measure the importance of nodes in the network. First, the model uses the Louvain clustering algorithm based on the Ochiai coefficient to discover the network community and then presents the trust network inference algorithm. By analyzing the key factors that affect trust transfer between nodes, the trust evaluation between unfamiliar nodes is inferred, and important nodes with a high degree of trust in the network community are calculated. Finally, combined with the characteristics of inner degree and outer degree centrality of nodes in the network community, five types of important nodes in the network are screened out. To avoid repeated selection of nodes, this paper identifies a group of key nodes in the network community for local immunization by means of deduplication and taking intersection, so as to realize effective control of rumors in the network. © 2024 IEEE.

5G communications systems offer several types of service groups include enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB), ultra-reliable low-latency communications (URLLC), and massive machine-type communications (mMTC). The ability to meet various mobile communications requirements of different users is ensured by these service groups. In this paper, a novel service type priority decision method is proposed for 5G and beyond (5GB) systems to determine the most needed service group under a specific region. This approach is useful for the resource allocation planning and optimization through a coverage region. The proposed method is based on the machine learning (ML) usage with several ambient information. Instance-based and model-based techniques are compared for ML. Also, the ensemble methods are tested on the generated synthetic dataset. © 2023 IEEE.

AI's revolutionary potential in higher education is examined in this proposal, including how it could revolutionize teaching, learning, administration, and research. Adaptive learning platforms, intelligent tutoring systems, and virtual learning assistants may change how students learn by improving engagement, providing quick feedback, and enabling tailored learning. The suggested process includes preprocessing, feature extraction, and model training. Preprocessing involves de-anonymizing, tokenizing, and removing punctuation, spaces, and numbers before analysis. The linear transformation method PCA extracts features. Training the systems uses the RF -SVM approach, which combines the advantages of RF and SVM. The suggested RF -SVM model beats two RF and SVM models with an average accuracy of 90.39 *** improves resource use, strategic decision-making, and research capacity in university management. The RF-SVM model's success in academia highlights the practicality of AI-driven solutions. © 2025 IEEE.

Polymorphism is a foundational concept within the object-oriented paradigm and is a feature of any mainstream object-oriented language that supports reusability and abstraction in software designs. With fUML being a standard specification of execution semantics of UML activity diagrams, it defines functionalities to simulate polymorphic behavior within such model executions. fUML only provides a simple standard implementation for simulating dynamic polymorphism at runtime. This default implementation does not meet the criteria of polymorphism as it is well-known and established by most mainstream object-oriented programming languages over the last decades, nor does it comply with the constraints for method overriding imposed by the original UML specification. However, fUML offers extension capabilities to add user-defined behavior for semantic variation points like polymorphism handling. This paper presents an extension of fUML execution semantics, enabling refined and more sophisticated simulation of polymorphism for executable UML models to comply with UML and the general understanding and functioning principles of polymorphic behavior within the object-oriented paradigm.

With the existing deep learning models in predicting multiple diseases primarily focus on analyzing individual diseases in isolation, lacking a unified system for multi-disease prediction. This project presents an approach to predict multiple diseases using Flask API, with a specific focus on brain tumors, COVID-19 and pneumonia. The proposed work represents a significant contribution to the field of disease prediction, harnessing the power of deep learning algorithms and modern web application development. The primary focus is on disease prediction, with a particular emphasis on ensuring accuracy and accessibility for end-users. The initial phase of this research involves data collection, where relevant datasets of various diseases are gathered. These datasets serve as the foundation for training and validating the deep learning models. Two prominent deep learning algorithms, Sequential CNN and VGG16, are employed for this purpose. These algorithms are chosen for their ability to handle complex data and recognize patterns within medical images and other health-related data. The core of the research involves training the deep learning models using the collected datasets. This step is crucial in enabling the models to learn and generalize from the provided data, ultimately enhancing their predictive capabilities. The models are modified to elevate their performance and accuracy. Following the training phase, the models are rigorously tested to evaluate their predictive accuracy. This assessment is vital in gauging the real-world applicability of the models in medical diagnosis. To make these powerful disease prediction models accessible to a wider audience, a front-end web application is developed.

Process discovery algorithms incorporating domain knowledge can have varying levels of user involvement. It ranges from fully automated algorithms to interactive approaches where the user makes critical decisions about the process model. Designing domain knowledge using process discovery techniques faces various challenges. These challenges could cause some issues with existing approaches. Acquiring domain knowledge with domain experts, integrating domain knowledge with process data, scalability to handle large complex data sets, and ensuring data quality are examples of these challenges. In this survey, we assess recent work with varying levels of automation in process discovery to enhance the analysis and understanding of business processes within an organization. Current work can be classified into two categories: fully automated or semi-automated process discovery. We conclude that semi-automated process discovery gives a better opportunity for involving users. Also, the use of deep learning algorithms in automation gives better performance than machine learning algorithms. © 2023 IEEE.

Cloud security vulnerabilities have recently become more prevalent around the world, posing a threat to cloud service providers’ (CSPs) ability to respond to client demands. In cloud market, the requests are announced by the client nodes to their CSP. A malicious node can alter a client’s request, resulting in the next cloud market collapse, decreased reliability, and data leaking. To identify malicious nodes in the cloud market, a novel fuzzy multiple criterion decision making scheme is suggested. Authentication test, trust level, traffic size, and node activity levels are all taken into consideration simultaneously as the major criteria for identifying malicious nodes. For each node, the CSP uses fuzzy Integral to generate a composite value based on these criteria. The malicious node is then removed from the cloud market using this composite value. The simulation results demonstrated the potential of the proposed method to prevent nodes in the cloud market from running malware or software that can be used to degrade quality of service by exhausting resources in the cloud market © 2022,International Journal of Interactive Mobile *** Rights Reserved

Access to building data is crucial for creating portable applications and improving building operation and energy efficiency. Ensuring data transmutability is essential for facilitating research and overcoming the diverse data representation, management, and collection methods across various building management systems (BMSs). Different BMSs use multiple interfaces for data exchange. Some BMSs provide Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) for data exchanges, while others have gateways connecting to cloud services for application subscription and data access. This study introduces a five-layered architecture that describes how client applications, researchers, and other interested stakeholders can exchange data with different BMSs. Our objective is to help researchers and practitioners understand the various ways of accessing transmutable (capable of being transformed into a compatible format) data from BMSs, regardless of the building management system a building uses. Through transmutable access to building systems' data, we aim to enable transferable energy-efficient-related applications for buildings. We evaluate our work with a building model of the Varennes Library in Varennes, QC, Canada. The building model includes information about the building, floors, rooms, electric meter and historical time series data of the meter, weather station and its historical time series data. The model also has carbon dioxide concentration sensors, temperature sensors, humidity sensors, and historical time series data of the sensors. We include two test client programs to show how they access the transmutable data of the building through a model. We conclude that the five-layered architecture facilitates the exchange of transmutable data across diverse BMSs, making it a valuable tool for researchers and practitioners. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper the problem of testing decision making systems for MEC platforms was formulated. Methods and means of organizing the introduction of network delays as part of the emulation system of MEC platforms LWMECPS were analyzed. Test applications mec-test-app and mec-test-client are developed for testing and evaluation of the introduced network delays. Developed mec-orch-app to provide test application management and metrics collection. Experiments have been conducted to estimate the insertion latency and manage the test applications using mec-orch-app. Special attention was paid to the organization of all parts of the system as a future laboratory bench for testing decision systems using reinforcement learning machine learning algorithms. © 2024 IEEE.
