software product line techniques encourage the reuse and adaptation of software components for creating customized products or software systems. These different product variants have commonalities and differences, which are managed by variability modeling. Over the past three decades, both academia and industry have developed numerous variability modeling methods, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. Many of these methods have demonstrated their utility within specific domains or applications. However, comprehending the capabilities and differences among these approaches to pinpoint the most suitable one for a particular use case remains challenging. Thus, new modeling techniques and tailored tools for handling variability are frequently created. Transitioning between variability models through transformations from different approaches can help in understanding the benefits and drawbacks of different modeling approaches. However, implementing such transformations presents challenges, such as semantic preservation and avoiding information loss. TRAVART is a tool that helps with transitioning between different approaches by enabling the transformation of variability models into other variability models of different types. This paper discusses the challenges for such transformations between UVL and IVML. The automation of processes in greenhouses provides a significant advantage to the agricultural sector. Due to the rapid growth of the population, increasing demand for food and labor shortage make the autonomous monitoring and management of agricultural work more important. Capsicum is a largely consumed vegetable in South Asia, which can be efficiently grown in greenhouses. Although there are many capsicum farms, they lack quality and efficient production to match the increasing demand. This paper proposes a robotic system for use in capsicum greenhouses that can navigate and monitor the plants to identify diseases, track the yield, and take remediation actions. The robot navigates to each plant in the greenhouse autonomously by using the SLAM approach with the use of laser range sensor data. The 4 DoF robotic arm of the robot has a camera and a sprayer attached to its end to investigate plants and spray remedies to diseased plants. The robotic arm moves around the plant to capture the images to detect deceases and count the pods to estimate the yield. The sprayer of the robot sprays remedies precisely to targeted plants to control pests and diseases. The system was successfully implemented and tested with the proposed functions.

Imperfections in requirement specification can cause serious issues during software development life cycle. It might bring about inferior quality products due to missing attributes, for example, security. Specifically, Web Applications are considered as obvious target for getting significant information. Security aspects have gotten hard to manage in web applications because security requirements are not regularly seen appropriately and often details are missing which lead into ill-characterized security-related aspects. With the help of systemic literature review (SLR), we have identified 32 major research works which were published in period of year 2010 to 2020. We identified 38 security-related aspects of web applications and also 13 techniques and tools for security related aspects in agile requirement specification. We have also analyzed 22 challenges in reviewing security related aspects in agile development life cycle.

A Novel Algorithm for Vertex Sum Distinguishing Total Coloring Based on Multiobjective Optimization

Graph coloring is an important research field in graph theory. In vertex sum distinguishing total coloring, the constraint condition, that is, the color sum of each vertex is different from that of its associated edges is added on the basis of the normal total coloring. A novel algorithm was designed to increase the vertex sum distinguishing total coloring effciency. Subobjective functions were designed according to the vertex constraint, edge constraint, vertex-edge constraint, and vertex-edge sum constraint to improve the vertex sum distinguishing total coloring efficiency of random graphs. In each subobjective function, iterative swap was performed step by step using the coloring matrix and color set complement, in which the conflict was handled following the idea of impressed variation, thereby realizing the vertex sum distinguishing total coloring of random graphs. In the end, the lower bound of chromatic number in the vertex sum distinguishing total coloring was proven through the theoretical analysis and experimental comparison. Results demonstrate that when the order of a graph is smaller than 1000 and the edge density is smaller than 0.1, the conflict handling function can be converged at a high rate. When the order of the graph is greater than 1000, the convergence rate of the algorithm declines rapidly, and the accurate coloring result can be obtained only by increasing the coloring quantity, indicating that the vertex sum distinguishing total chromatic number of a connected graph with the order of not smaller than 3 ranged from μΣt(G) to μΣt(G)+3. This finding is consistent with the algorithm analysis result. On this basis, this algorithm can effectively complete the vertex sum distinguishing total coloring of random graphs, and its time complexity does not exceed O(n3). Joint safety and security analysis of cyber-physical systems is a necessary step to correctly capture inter-dependencies between these properties. Attack-Fault Trees represent a combination of dynamic Fault Trees and Attack Trees and can be used to model and model-check a holistic view on both safety and security. Manually creating a complete AFT for the whole system is, however, a daunting task. It needs to span multiple abstraction layers, e.g., abstract application architecture and data flow as well as system and library dependencies that are affected by various vulnerabilities. We present an AFT generation tool-chain that facilitates this task using partial Fault and Attack Trees that are either manually created or mined from vulnerability databases. We semi-automatically create two system models that provide the necessary information to automatically combine these partial Fault and Attack Trees into complete AFTs using graph transformation rules. © 2023, CC BY-NC-ND.

BYOD or Bring Your Own Device is a set of policies that allow employees of an organization to use their own devices for official work purposes. BYOD is an immensely popular concept in the present day due to the many advantages it provides. However, the implementation of BYOD policies entail diverse problems and as a result, the confidentiality of documents can be breached. Furthermore, employees without security awareness and training are highly vulnerable to endpoint attacks, network attacks, and zero-day attacks that lead to a breach of confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA). In this context, this paper proposes a comprehensive solution;'BYODENCE', for the detection and prevention of unauthorized access to organizational documents. BYODENCE is an efficient BYOD solution which can produce competitive results in terms of accuracy and speed. © 2021 IEEE.

Minimizing Occlusion Effect on Multi-View Camera Perception in BEV with Multi-Sensor Fusion

Autonomous driving technology is rapidly evolving, offering the potential for safer and more efficient transportation. However, the performance of these systems can be significantly compromised by the occlusion on sensors due to environmental factors like dirt, dust, rain, and fog. These occlusions severely affect vision-based tasks such as object detection, vehicle segmentation, and lane recognition. In this paper, we investigate the impact of various kinds of occlusions on camera sensor by projecting their effects from multi-view camera images of the nuScenes dataset into the Bird’s-Eye View (BEV) domain. This approach allows us to analyze how occlusions spatially distribute and influence vehicle segmentation accuracy within the BEV domain. Despite significant advances in sensor technology and multi-sensor fusion, a gap remains in the existing literature regarding the specific effects of camera occlusions on BEV-based perception systems. To address this gap, we use a multi-sensor fusion technique that integrates LiDAR and radar sensor data to mitigate the performance degradation caused by occluded cameras. CLGT: A Graph Transformer for Student Performance Prediction in Collaborative Learning

Modeling and predicting the performance of students in collaborative learning paradigms is an important task. Most of the research presented in literature regarding collaborative learning focuses on the discussion forums and social learning networks. There are only a few works that investigate how students interact with each other in team projects and how such interactions affect their academic performance. In order to bridge this gap, we choose a software engineering course as the study subject. The students who participate in a software engineering course are required to team up and complete a software project together. In this work, we construct an interaction graph based on the activities of students grouped in various teams. Based on this student interaction graph, we present an extended graph transformer framework for collaborative learning (CLGT) for evaluating and predicting the performance of students. Moreover, the proposed CLGT contains an interpretation module that explains the prediction results and visualizes the student interaction patterns. The experimental results confirm that the proposed CLGT outperforms the baseline models in terms of performing predictions based on the real-world datasets. Moreover, the proposed CLGT differentiates the students with poor performance in the collaborative learning paradigm and gives teachers early warnings, so that appropriate assistance can be provided. This study proposes an integrated system combining Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and YOLO (You Only Look Once) for enforcing helmet laws and improving traffic safety. A user-friendly PyQT GUI facilitates vehicle registration, creating an organized CSV database for future reference. YOLOv5, an advanced object detection algorithm, identifies key elements like motorcycles, helmets, and number plates from input images. The primary objective is detecting motorcyclists without helmets, followed by OCR extraction of text from license plates. The extracted text is compared with registered bike information in the CSV file, generating e-challans and fines for matches. Automatic email notifications ensure timely communication and compliance with traffic regulations. The system's implementation not only aids helmet enforcement but also acts as a deterrent for future violations, fostering a safer driving environment. With scalability and practicality, this approach can integrate seamlessly into existing traffic control systems, leveraging AI technologies like YOLOv5 and OCR for effective problem-solving and enhanced road safety.

The current study aims to bridge a crucial gap in existing research, potentially paving the way for a groundbreaking transformation in the development and application of PLA/Brass composites within diverse industries such as aerospace, automotive, consumer goods, and medical devices. The primary objective of this research is to assess the mechanical properties of a composite material made up of Polylactic Acid (PLA) and Brass, produced using Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM) 3D printing technology. Brass, renowned for its exceptional mechanical properties, has been integrated into PLA to form this composite material. The study employs various analytical techniques, including Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and Energy-Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDX), to scrutinize the chemical and physical characteristics of the PLA/Brass composite. This research revolves around exploring the impact of different printing parameters on the mechanical behavior of the printed specimens. The investigation delves into aspects such as tensile strength, compression resistance, bending properties, and impact resistance. To achieve this, test specimens with varying compositions have been produced using a Raise3D N2 Plus FDM 3D printer, with careful manipulation of printing parameters such as layer height and printing speed. The compositional variations range from 15% wt. to 80% wt., with layer height values spanning 0.25 mm, 0.30 mm, and 0.35 mm, and printing speeds ranging from 20 mm/s to 40 mm/s. The outcomes of this research have revealed the distinct influences of specific printing parameters on various mechanical properties. For example, in the context of tensile testing, it was observed that the combination of a layer height of 0.25 mm and a printing speed of 30 mm/s resulted in the highest elastic modulus.
