Good air quality is very important in human health. However, air pollution has been polluted everywhere, whether in the house, in cities. This is caused by a growing industry that produces air pollution. Room air pollution and various cities will contribute to air pollution, which will cause problems for human health. This work measures the carbon monoxide level using the MQ-7 sensor and measures the air's carbon dioxide level with the CCS811 sensor and MH-Z19 sensor. All three sensors are connected to the NodeMCU ESPS266, and we call it a NodeMCU module. Tests are carried out in three rooms in the house, and then three NodeMCU modules are used so that the three modules will send data alternately. Raspberry Pi3 (RPi3) functions as a server that collects data and acquires information data from sensors. Data from the CCS811 (TCOV) sensor, MH-Z19 (co2), will be processed first with fuzzy logic rules to make decisions about CO2, which are right, moderate, nasty conditions. The process is carried out on the Raspberry Pi 3 server with MQTT using publication, customer, fuzzy logic, and broker services. The value of the sensor's measurement results can be accessed via a smartphone and provides good air control values. © 2021 IEEE.

Given a set S of regions with piece-wise linear boundary and a positive angle α ◦, we consider the problem of computing the locations and orientations of the minimum number of α-floodlights positioned at points in S which suffice to illuminate the entire x-axis. We show that the problem can be solved in O(n log n) time and O(n) space, where n is the number of vertices of the set S. © Bengt J. Kidney stone disease is a serious public health concern that is getting worse with changes in diet, obesity, medical conditions, certain supplements etc. A kidney stone also called a renal calculus, is a hard buildup of urine minerals that form in the kidneys. Computed tomography (CT) is one of the imaging models used to identify kidney stones by clinical experts. Due to the low resolution of these images, sometimes detecting kidney stones is tedious with the naked eye, which may lead to false alarms. In this work, a computer-based diagnosis system with a deep learning technique has been developed as a practical solution to aid clinicians in their diagnosis. The traditional convolutional neural network (CNN)-based deep learning technology can detect stones in the kidney. Still, it suffers from the performance and standard implementation of the convolution operations in convolution layers. A Kronecker product-based convolution technique is incorporated in the proposed deep learning architecture to reduce the redundancy in feature maps without convolution overlapping. Our proposed method helps to make the network more effective by extracting abstract and in-depth features from the input images. The publicly available GitHub kidney stone CT scans are utilized to develop the proposed architecture. Our automated model detected kidney stones with an accuracy of 98.56% utilizing CT images. Our system is more effective than the most recent and cutting-edge techniques developed for identifying kidney stones of any size, including the smallest ones. © 2023 The Author(s)

Deep Neural Networks (DNNs) have shown significant advantages in a wide variety of domains. However, DNNs are becoming computationally intensive and energy hungry at an exponential pace, while at the same time, there is a vast demand for running sophisticated DNN-based services on resource constrained embedded devices. In this paper, we target energy-efficient inference on embedded DNN accelerators. To that end, we propose an automated framework to compress DNNs in a hardware-aware manner by jointly employing pruning and quantization. We explore, for the first time, per-layer fine- and coarse-grained pruning, in the same DNN architecture, in addition to low bit-width mixed-precision quantization for weights and activations. Reinforcement Learning (RL) is used to explore the associated design space and identify the pruning-quantization configuration so that the energy consumption is minimized whilst the prediction accuracy loss is retained at acceptable levels. Using our novel composite RL agent we are able to extract energy-efficient solutions without requiring retraining and/or fine tuning. Our extensive experimental evaluation over widely used DNNs and the CIFAR-10/100 and ImageNet datasets demonstrates that our framework achieves 39% average energy reduction for 1.7% average accuracy loss and outperforms significantly the state-of-the-art approaches. In the women's community, Breast Cancer (BC) is a severe disease. The World Health Organization reported in 2020 that 2.26 million deaths occur due to BC. BC is curable if detected early. Since thermal imaging is non-invasive and supports disease detection, it is commonly used in clinics. Compared to other methods, it keeps BC early and accurate. The proposed work aims to evaluate the performance of the Pretrained Deep-Learning Methods (PDLM) in detecting BC using the thermal images collected from the benchmark dataset. It includes the following stages: primary image processing, deep feature mining, handcrafted feature mining, feature optimization using Firefly-Algorithm (FA), classification and validation. Visual Lab thermal images were used in the study. The investigational outcome of this study authenticates that the VGG16, along with the DT, provides better detection accuracy (95.5%) compared to other classifiers used in this study. To justify the significance of the implemented technique, the proposed work not only improved accuracy, but also improved precision, sensitivity, specificity, and F1-Scores. © 2023 The Authors. Сardiovascular diseases, also known as CVDs, currently rank as the primary incidence of mortality. The present approach for identifying illnesses involves the analysis of the Electrocardiogram (ECG), an electronic diagnostic device utilized to capture the rhythm of the heart. Regrettably, the process of seeking out specialists to conduct analysis on a substantial volume of electrocardiogram (ECG) data results in a significant depletion of medical capabilities. Hence, the utilization of deep learning algorithms for the identification of ECG characteristics has progressively gained prominence. Nevertheless, there exist certain limitations associated with these conventional approaches, which necessitate the need for manual characteristic identification, intricate models, and extensive training duration. This study presents a novel and effective approach for categorizing the five different types of heartbeats in the MIT-BIH Arrhythmia database. The proposed method involves the utilization of a 16-layer deep one-dimensional convolutional neural network, which exhibits both robustness and efficiency in its classification performance. Thus, the designed model is consisting of five-groups, first to fourth groups are the main feature extraction and mapping blocks, while the fifth group is fully connected and classification layers. The findings indicate that the model presented in this study has superior performance in terms of accuracy, precision, and F1-score. The proper classification of medical cases has a significant impact on the conservation of medical resources, hence positively influencing clinical practice. Additionally, the model training phase is characterized by its efficiency, since it does not significantly deplete resources.

The escalating frequency of geological disasters, local conflicts, and public health crises necessitates robust emergency communication systems within Internet of Things (IoT) frameworks to ensure public safety. Employing Power-Domain NOMA (PD-NOMA) and Successive Interference Cancellation (SIC) enables effective multi-device communication that is crucial for emergency responses. However, the practical implementation of NOMA technologies in emergency scenarios is hindered by existing resource constraints and the requirement of prioritizing critical emergency information. To address these limitations, we propose a multi-objective optimization-based NOMA framework to maximize network throughput while ensuring quality of service (QoS) and energy efficiency. This framework incorporates a novel communication grouping algorithm based on queue penalty optimization and an Actor-Critic-based dynamic updating algorithm for multiple resource allocation. Our study proposes a practical approach to enhance emergency communication in disaster areas, ensuring efficient and reliable network performance under various constraints. © 2025 IEEE.
