Assessing landslide susceptibility is vital in mitigating natural disasters, particularly in zones with active tectonics. This paper will discuss a novel approach based on a CNN architecture in a U -Net designed to assess landslide susceptibility in these zones of active tectonism. The model thus takes advantage of spatial data sources from remote sensing and GIS and multi-coupled geospatial factors such as slope, elevation, rainfall, and tectonic activity in a multivariate framework for predicting landslide-prone areas. The U-Net CNN architecture is used as it captures the local and global spatial patterns and results in very precise susceptibility maps. The selected historical data about landslides was then fed into the trained and validated model to predict potential landslide occurrence zones, indicating high accuracy in susceptibility mapping. The CNN-based U-Net approach suggests a higher order of precision and spatial resolution than the conventional machine learning approach. This work portrays the capabilities of deep learning approaches in developing landslide risk assessment with much-improved precision. It thus offers an essential tool for disaster risk management along with urban planning for tectonically active regions. © 2024 IEEE.

This research explores vulnerabilities in machine learning classification models applied to firewall log data, specifically examining susceptibility to data poisoning and evasion attacks. The main objective is to evaluate the robustness of different algorithms when classifying firewall logs under adversarial conditions. The study assesses each model's accuracy in classifying log actions and introduces deliberate data poisoning and evasion attacks. The results highlight significant variations in model resilience. Notably, the Artificial Neural Network (ANN) demonstrates exceptional performance, maintaining a comparatively accuracy even after being subjected to data poisoning. In contrast, the rest model experiences a substantial drop in accuracy, indicating its vulnerability to such attacks. Additionally, evasion attacks impact model performance differently. Despite the evasion attack, the ANN consistently maintains the same accuracy, showcasing its steadfast nature. Conversely, the rest model witnesses a notable decrease in accuracy after evasion attack especially the decision tree model. These findings provide valuable insights into the comparative resilience of machine learning models against data poisoning and evasion attacks in the context of firewall log classification. The research underscores the importance of selecting robust algorithms to enhance the security of network systems amidst evolving cyber threats. © 2024 IEEE.

With the modern city infrastructure and increasing number of subjects in the traffic environment, there is a need for increased number of parking places. As the parking place is usually not used for a whole day, it could be shared with the others in the certain community. As it eliminates the useless driving due to the finding of free parking place, the traffic becomes more effective and produces less emissions. We designed the application for smart city environment, which helps to achieve the described situation. It consists of two parts, the frontend and backend. The data processed by the backend part can be further used for the city infrastructure improvements. The front-end part, designed in React Native, represents the graphical interface. Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have garnered significant attention from the research community during the last decade, due to their diverse capabilities and potential applications. One of the most critical functions that drones must execute efficiently is navigation in real-world environments. This paper presents a decentralized approach for enabling unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to navigate safely in unknown environments and avoid obstacles. Leveraging the Optimal Reciprocal Collision Avoidance (ORCA) algorithm, implemented in the Robot Operating System (ROS), our method facilitates conflict detection and resolution in 2D environments. Through simulations using ROS, Gazebo, and Iris drones, we validate the effectiveness of our approach in scenarios with initial trajectory conflicts. Our work addresses the pressing need for UAVs to autonomously plan and execute safe flights, laying the groundwork for enhanced UAV capabilities in various real-world applications. The simulation results demonstrate the efficiency and robustness of our approach. © 2024 IEEE.

Gait, the pattern of walking, has been extensively studied and various methods have been developed to use it as a biometric for individual recognition. Despite this, the potential to identify individuals through running videos has not been thoroughly explored. The paper introduces a novel method that expands the feature-based approach for identifying individuals based on their running style. This work focuses on extracting the mutual information and location specific metric from the key gait poses of subjects in the testing and training datasets. Later on, the assignment of a testing sample to the training sample is accomplished using the proposed classification method. The experiments are conducted on KTH, OU-ISIR A, and Weizmann database. The efficiency of this method is demonstrated by the obtained experimental results. © 2024 IEEE.

Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment are now integrated in automated systems that enhance code stability, and accelerate the deployment process as well as improving monitoring of the whole system in the software development field. This document deals with setting up of a strong CI/CD process involving AWS cloud services and DevOps. The infrastructure is built with the help of Terraform which ensures the scalability and repeatability applying the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approach. A safe Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) is designed consisting of public and private subnets, load balancing for traffic distribution, and CloudFront CDN to improve geographical distribution. Jenkins is used in CI process to perform disk analysis, OWASP and Trivy vulnerability scanning, and making Docker images. The CD phase use ArgoCD for updates on Kubernetes and integrates Monitoring and observability using Prometheus and Grafana. Notifications are produced to JIRA and email communication for improvement. With the help of the offered cloud services and DevOps tool it is possible to consolidate the SDLC and bring effects in code safety, testing and utilization. This document also provides an overview of methods, instruments, and outcomes, demonstrating how the CI/CD automation influences the development and operation positively. © 2025 IEEE.

Since the automobile industry has had quick growth in the last few years, it should have the most accurate and efficient systems related to forecasting the prices of cars so that the business can both cope with the market and meet the demands of the customers. As a result, this paper proposes an integrated approach based on car price prediction. It combines Random Forest Regression with an image processing approach. The approach is built on a database that has in it the numeric features of the vehicle and the visual features of the vehicle. Random Forest Regression is made use of as it is a very strong algorithm that can easily manage complex, high-dimensional data and image processing is used to tune the visual interfacing of cars. This combination is likely to increase the accuracy of the forecast and, at the same time, solves the problems that are often encountered in the models. The experimental data demonstrate the fact that the suggested strategy outperforms the stand-alone methods in terms of both the mean squared error and R-squared metrics. The model of hybrid concept presented in this article is a very innovative and practical solution for automobile industries as it is a mixture of machine learning as well as computer vision technology to produce a trustworthy tool for pricing estimation © 2024 IEEE.

The objective of this project is to develop an advanced quality human intrusion detection system, integrating IoT hardware with advanced software technologies. This will be done by relying on real-time video footage and using image processing techniques in the identification process of human presence and other potential threats, such as weapons. A face recognition module will be attached, which will let the entry of only authorized people and immediately detect unauthorized intrusions. The system includes live alerts for efficient monitoring and protection of secure places. This system, with high algorithms used and strong hardware, is scalable and reliable, proving to be fully comprehensive in relation to the potential threats against the security offered. © 2024 IEEE.

The BART model is an advanced adaptation of transformers introduced by Facebook. It has incorporated elements from both BERT and GPT transformers, enabling significant advancements in language understanding and general speech processing. Utilizing both encoder and decoder components, BART proves versatile for various tasks, including translation, text completion, automatic sentence generation, entity recognition, sentiment analysis, and more. In this study, we focus on the study of pretrained models, BART and a modified version called distilbart, in the context of Zero-Shot Text Classification. In the experimental study we dive into the Zero-Shot technique applied to various pretrained Transformers. Our analysis demonstrates that, depending on the Model we utilize, we can achieve F1 scores of up to 88%, showcasing the model's effectiveness in discerning classes for this Sentiment Analysis problem using the Zero-Shot Text Classification technique. © 2023 IEEE.

Robots have emerged as versatile tools with significant potential to enhance teaching and learning environments, including classrooms, laboratories, play homes, crèches, and even at home. Their engaging nature can captivate young children, boosting motivation and interest. This paper proposes a methodology for an Educational Robot (ER) designed for play homes. The ER is capable of moving around the classroom, monitoring children, analyzing their emotions, responding appropriately, and alerting the teacher when necessary. The proposed system aims to leverage the positive impact of expressive behaviors in robots, such as storytelling and pampering. Our findings indicate that expressive robot narration is as effective as that of a human displaying similar behaviors and even surpasses a static, inexpressive human narrator. Furthermore, the robot excels in conveying educational content, although its limited emotional expression slightly reduces its effectiveness in narrating emotionally rich stories. This research underscores the potential of ERs to create dynamic and interactive learning experiences for young children, fostering both their cognitive and emotional development. © 2024 IEEE.
