In the context of the digital age, online public opinion has rapidly emerged as a key manifestation of social sentiment. The spread of campus public opinion is primarily through the internet, characterized by high attention, rapid dissemination, and a special group, which can easily lead to secondary social consequences and has a profound impact on school management, student mental health, and the formulation of educational policies. This requires school administrators to be able to capture and effectively analyze public opinion dynamics in a timely manner to make appropriate responses. However, in the face of massive amounts of public opinion data, traditional monitoring and management methods are no longer sufficient. This paper proposes a campus public opinion registration and management system based on the Knuth-Morris-Pratt (KMP) algorithm, aiming to improve the efficiency and accuracy of public opinion monitoring. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Image segmentation is a prime domain of computer vision backed by a huge amount of research involving both image processing-based algorithm and learning-based techniques. Due to this there is an upsurge in different segmentation technique from the research community. Various image segmentation techniques have their strength and weakness and some specific application are more geared up to some segmentation techniques. The automation systems like object detection, robotics and intelligent video analytics, do a lot of segmentation technique and hence there is need to evaluate the performance of these techniques. The paper implements the different types of segmentation techniques. Threshold techniques including like histogram thresholding, mean thresholding, edge thresholding, variable thresholding and percentile (P%-tile) exists. Algorithms are applied using MATLAB coding on the considered images. White Pixel Ratio (WPR) parameter is used for analysis of various methods. Similar to the theoretical concept, practical approach shows that WPR is better for histogram thresholding as compared to other techniques. © 2024, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

The security of integrated circuits is crucial due to their wide range of applications in modern gadgets. An unauthorized access (i.e., third-party access) or a security breach in the logic-locked system can pose a great threat to user privacy, thus leading to data theft and misusing the user data. Several logic locking methods have been proposed, but with the advancements of technology, the latest attack techniques can easily crack those existing locking techniques. Thus, in this research paper we have proposed a sensor-based methodology to detect the unauthorized access with microswitch and UART. In a globalized world where the security of logic-locked systems is really important, this paper empathizes with UART-based mechanisms as a practical solution. By focusing on the existing logic locking methodologies, this paper contributes to the ongoing security efforts for a secured logic locked system. © 2025 IEEE.

The issue of fake reviews on online platforms has increasingly become a huge concern in recent years, with the potential to mislead consumers and negatively impact businesses. In this paper, we present a comprehensive approach to detecting fake reviews using both supervised and unsupervised learning techniques. Our approach includes classic machine learning algorithms, deep learning techniques such as RNN and attention networks, as well as state-of-the-art models like BERT and GPT. We leverage a labeled dataset of restaurant reviews from *** to train and evaluate our models. We also compare the performance of supervised and unsupervised learning techniques and identify the most effective and explainable models for detecting fake reviews. Our results show that our approach achieves high accuracy in detecting fake reviews, and the interpretation of our models offers valuable insights into the factors that contribute to the identification of fake reviews. We believe our work contributes to the ongoing effort of combating fake reviews and provides a practical and effective solution for businesses and consumers to identify trustworthy reviews. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETs) provide a flexible wireless infrastructure for various applications. Still, their decentralized and dynamic nature makes them susceptible to security threats. The topology of a MANET changes frequently due to node mobility. This dynamic nature can result in frequent network disruptions, packet losses, and increased latency. This paper introduces a Two-Pronged Intrusion Detection System (TP-IDS) designed for MANET, focusing on blackhole, hello flooding, and UDP flooding attacks. These attacks take advantage of the dynamic and self-organizing features of MANETs, making the network perform poorly. A dataset with eight features is created, capturing mobility, received, sent, and dropped packets, forwarding difference, energy, and transmission power. We have used SMOTE to overcome the class imbalance. Hyperparameter Optimization is performed using Bayesian Optimization and Optuna across Decision Tree, Random Forest, and XGBoost classifiers showcasing strengths and weaknesses for optimal selection. We conclude that the XGBoost classifier with Grid-initialized Bayesian hyperparameter optimization provides the best overall performance to create a robust TP-IDS. © 2024 IEEE.

In recent years, the rise of cyber threats and attacks has led to significant financial losses for software industries and individuals worldwide. Early detection of software vulnerabilities is crucial for mitigating future monetary risks. As a result, deep learning methodologies, such as pre-trained models, graph neural networks, transformer-based models, convolutional neural networks, and recurrent neural networks, have gained prominence for their ability to learn features and respond to new data. This paper provides a detailed discussion of recent deep learning methodologies for software vulnerability detection, delving into their approaches, limitations, and employed metrics. The key findings of the review highlight the predominant focus on the National Vulnerability Database, and similar repositories of open-source code, potential challenges in performance when confronted with real-world data, the limited scope of research on types, and the opportunity for exploring multilingual vulnerability detection methodologies. © 2024 IEEE.

The rapid evolution of financial services has led to an increase in fraudulent activities, necessitating advanced detection methods. Traditional techniques often struggle with the volume and complexity of financial transactions, leading to inaccuracies and delays. This research addresses the enhancement of graph database interaction through a generative AI-driven natural language interface for more accurate fraud detection. We employ the T5 and LLaMA-2 models, trained on a balanced dataset of financial transactions, to recognize fraud patterns. The T 5 model handles natural language queries, extracting key details such as transaction amounts and account numbers. The LLaMA-2 model generates predictions on the likelihood of transactions being fraudulent. The system then converts these processed queries into Cypher queries for the Neo4j graph database to retrieve relevant transaction data. This approach enables efficient pattern analysis and interactive data exploration. Experimental results demonstrate that our system accurately identifies fraudulent transactions, significantly reducing the time and expertise needed for detection. This approach makes use of Neo4j's powerful features to increase the efficacy and precision of financial detection systems for fraud. © 2024 IEEE.

Advances in immunological research are essential for elucidating immune responses and developing targeted therapeutic approaches. This study proposes an automated method for immune cell classification leveraging machine learning and image processing techniques. A novel framework is introduced, combining high-resolution imaging with computational algorithms to accurately classify various immune cell types from biological samples. The methodology incorporated preprocessing steps, like normalization and noise reduction. Then, deep learning models, such as CNNs and SVMs, will be applied for feature extraction and classification. These models were trained on annotated datasets derived from flow cytometry and microscopy, demonstrating better accuracy and reliability. Results demonstrate an improvement in processing speed and accuracy of classification over traditional approaches, which underlines the importance of automation in immunological diagnostics. The data obtained can be used in high-throughput immunotherapy and disease diagnostic screening;it allows for the identification of immune cell populations within a short period and therefore improves research efficiency. The work provides a basis for real-time analysis and incorporation of multiscale datasets that will help to better understand immunity and its associated disorders. © 2025 IEEE.

Hepatitis - C Virus (HCV) infection stands as a prominent cause of chronic liver disease on a global scale. Predicting HCV poses a significant challenge in the medical field, as the abundance of healthcare data remains underutilized. To tackle this issue, it is imperative to collect relevant data, extract valuable insights and employ them effectively. Consequently data mining holds immense potential across various industries and scientific domains. The objective of this research work is to meticulously analyze and visualize the dataset's variables aiming to identify essential factors related with HCV. Given the substantial prevalence of HCV, its impact on liver health and potential fatality emphasize the urgent and potential need to develop an accurate prediction models. However, the classification modelling like Support Vector Machine, Decision Tree, Logistic Regression & Random Forest were implemented with the help of feature selection and without feature selection. From the results, it is observed Random Forest with feature selection out performed with an accuracy of 89% and without feature selection with an accuracy of 88.33%. These models are indispensable in contemporary society. © 2024 IEEE.
